- Chair Yoga 28 Day Series - More Seated, Some Standing. In today’s practice, we’ll explore poses for our 28 day journey including seated Forward Fold with the block. You’ll need a chair and a yoga block (or substitute) for today’s class.
Welcome to Bottoms Down Chair Yoga. I’m Carol and I’m happy you’ve chosen to spend this time together to stretch, lengthen and strengthen your body.
This 30 minute yoga practice is day 14 of our 28 day yoga journey together. Join us as we build our practice from the ground up. We warm up gently and center our work on our breath and mindful movements to build strength and improve focus.
You’ll need a chair and a yoga block (or substitute). We’ll start seated and move to a standing position and return to seated.

Just wanted to leave a comment to thank you for this channel and this challenge. I'm 57 and three months post op from major back surgery. Insurance issues kept me from any physical therapy. A friend found you n here I am. It's helped me so much so far. The breathing n stretching is just perfect for me for when I drive again. Some stuff is difficult but im.giving it ye olde college try!! This halfway point is perfect time to tell you how much this has already helped me. I am almost 64 with full body arthritis and carrying a terrible amount of extra weight. Your gentle yoga gets me moving without hurting my knees and makes my body want to engage throughout the day so I catch myself stretching or doing some automatic isometrics to continue to feel good. It’s been so long since I’ve done regular exercise I think my body had given up hope on me, but not any more. Thank you! Looking forward to the next couple of weeks and then next couple of years!

Today was a much needed refreshing stretch day! I'm battling a wicked batch of shingles, but I haven't missed a day as it takes my mind off of the pain. I look forward to many more sessions with you

Hello Carol, I saw my chiropractor yesterday and he commented on how much more flexible I've become. This is just after two weeks! I'm nearly 73 and I used to be a dancer once upon a time and movement brings me joy so I am very happy I am feeling the results of this challenge! And thank you for the lovely uplifting thoughts during Shavasana too. They are very calming. This program is beautifully put together. Thanks again.

Carol, I'm so glad that I found you! I have rheumatoid arthritis and the pain prevents me from doing strenuous activity. I had been feeling so discouraged, and then God lead me to you! I'm on Day 15 of the 28 day challenge, and it's not easy, but I am enjoying it. Thank you for all that you do for those of us with physical limitations. You're a wonderful blessing!

This is a real mystery! I started Day 14 yesterday (the video showed that I was just over 2 minutes in) and I had put my block ready to use (it was still there this morning!). How it 'skipped' to Day 16 I will never know!! Anyway, I started and finished Day 14 today - and it was just wonderful. All the stretches were just perfect for my stiff joints. Thank you Carol. TH-cam can be a mystery for sure! I have no control over how the videos are queued up for the next one. If you go to the playlists, they are usually in order. That might be a suggestion. Keep going strong! See you tomorrow.

I just completed Day 14 of the 28 Day Challenge. When I started I was having sciatica nerve pain. The pail has lessened considerably!
Hope it continues. I know stretching the spine has helped a lot!

Hi Caol, I'm doing your 28 day challenge in Bolton Manchester England and am enjoying it so much. I am 73 years old and have arthritis in most of my joint and I can't believe how much your workouts are helping me. I love joining you each day and always have a big smile on my face when you start the session. You make my heart happy.
