Great video ! I work in the area where he grew up, no signs of Pelle there today. No statue no nothing. There is only the soccer field ,outside his parents apartment, where Pelle used to play hockey all day long when he was a kid, thats a pitty, the first european to win a trophy in NHL.
Name of the street is Barnängsgatan, Stockholm.

I remember our school(Eriksdalsskolan)held 1 minute of silence to honor Pelle Linbergh when he died.Pelle Lindbergh is one of the icons of our club Hammarby IF.Huge fan of the Philadelphia Flyers and it's only because of Pelle.I still live in the same neighbourhood on Magnusladulåsgatan.Skål för Bajen!

I was at the All Star game in Hartford. They darkened the Civic center and shined a spotlight on the goal in tribute.

I remember a playoff game against the Islanders, (I think). Pelle stood on his head the whole game and kept the Flyers in until they finally won. One of the most amazing performances I ever saw.

I was a fan of his greatness…Ironically, having a season ticket during the Oiler Dynasty. We faced those feisty Flyers in both our 2 & 3 Stanley Cup victories. No disrespect, but the legendary Jari Kurri should’ve been the first European to win a major Trophy, that being the Selke, for best defensive forward. We were dominating the hardware & record books. There was still a lot of anti-European bias…regardless, Pelle was deserving❗️

And today,he wouldn't even get drafted because he'd be considered too small, since all GM's only look at players over 6'4".It's difficult to feel sorry for him because he drove drunk and injured two other people by his stupidity. He was a good goalie but his career will always be tainted by his off ice actions.

Fucking tragic, don't drink and drive!
The Oilers were too good in the 80s, but the Flyers would have been better with a healthy Tim Kerr and Lindbergh over Hextall in 87.

    Bernie Parent clone.

Flyers just about had a 3peat with Parent, why wouldn't he emulate all he could from him? Had Pelle lived they would have won at least 1 cup, he was better than Hextall.
