Highlighting all my favourite current players and players of yesteryear. This is old time hockey, back when hockey was hockey.

It took me almost a year but I have amassed the complete sets of 2018-19 and 2019-20 Upper Deck Engrained Honorary Engravings.
Taylor Pyatt

Taylor Pyatt was the first wave in Thunder Bay becoming a hockey factory in the late 90's and early 00's.
Chris Chelios

One of the best defensive players ever to play, and had one of the longest careers in the NHL
Walt Podubny

Good goal scorer for the Rangers and Leafs in the 80's, but was never recognized for it in the NHL.
Maple Leafs Cup Drought

Those poor Toronto Maple Leafs just can't catch a break can they?

Whatever happened to this highly touted goalie prospect from the 90's?

Drafting and scouting in the 80's and 90's proved to be really difficult for most teams.
Saw a preseason game at Hilton in Ames IA between KC and The Minnesota North Stars. Great stuff.
Kerr and the flyers were robbed. He played 1 of the 12 finals games against the oilers... 2 goals 1 assist. It just sucks.....40 years later it stilll pisses me off
That fuzzy footage is of the Canadiens, not the Maroons.
322 professional goals in just 229 games is insane no matter what era
Yea
❤❤❤
Islander fans cringe when his name spoken. 🤦
❤❤❤
To NOT mention that each Mullen started on roller skates is a massive miss and a huge hole in the script that would have easily explained why Joe didn't take to ice until he was 14.
Total disappointment. Was billed as the next russian rocket, instead we got another Andre Kovalenko.
Just so we’re clear, that header pic is Bobby Ryan being drafted after Crosby. Not Kilger
The opening photo is Tim Cheveldae
Look at the number of NHL players have come out of the Hunter Bros London Knights
What an amazing set! Wow!
❤❤❤
WOW! So Cool!
Shittiest song ever
❤❤❤
He sure was the best, the 90’s were a magikal time, he was so good he made me want to play goal, i did that so well one summer Vladislav Tretiak invited me to summer training camp where I got to do on ice and off ice drills with the Eagle himself for a week. He was so awesome, i got to say hello at least 4 different times he visited Los Angeles with the Hawk’s, the Sharks and the Stars, Eddie was always good and kind to me, for all those who comment on a man they do not know, allow me to share my true experience with him. An incredible role model he turned out to be for me.
He would have scored an average of 80 -100 goals in a year if he had played an 80-game schedule. It was just amazing his talent and he scored 7 goals in one game and no one has broken that record also five goals in a game five times bad timing that's all RIP Joe Malone
❤😊❤
I liked him when he was in MTL. Very odd career. It Is fitting therefore that he ended up in Cornwall of all places.
The last great goaltender for the New York Rangers before Igor.
Didn't even know this team existed thanks for the history lesson. 🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯🗿🗿🗿
❤❤❤
After watching Shesterkin carry the torch for Hank,I forgot just how awesome Richter was
Carry the torch for Hank? What torch, the torch of blowing in the playoffs 12 or 15 seasons? Igor is in a completely different league than Lundqvist, he’s in the league of Mike Richters
@@matts6551 How many Stanley Cups did Hank win? Igor is still 28 years old.
Other than maybe Montreal, is ther any oher NHL franchise that has been as lucky at this position as the New York Rangers. You go from Richter / Vanbiesbrook to Lundqvist to Shesterkin. Not to mention the amazing backup guys the Rangers have had like Cam Talbot, Anti Raanta etc. etc. Benoit Allaire is a god.
I don’t know if I call it lucky having Lundquist on your team for 15 years and having it amount to nothing other than winning one game in one Stanley Cup final appearance.
Hometown hero from Flourtown PA. I play at WSC where he grew up playing. Cool to see his name painted on the walls there.
Ritchter for sure was an excellent netminder. But, greatest american keeper of all time??? You must have overlooked Tom Barrasso.
And Brimsek, and Quick, and Miller, and Thomas, and Vanbiesbrouck, and …
Winning Goalie of the 1994 New York Oilers Cup Champs lol
❤😊❤
Great video! He was my absolute favourite goalie growing up. His lateral movement and flexibility made him so much fun to watch
Puh-ment? Seriously?
Boy you left out the reason he was traded so many times, he had the same problem as Rick Vaive , Greg Terrion ,Dan Maloney ,John Anderson Miroslav Frycer All alcohol abuse all but two gone now.
Had a beer with Chelly back in 1990 we where sitting side by side at the bar in a pub in Montreal great conversation he suffered a knee injury and couldn’t play,we talked about how it was hard to be sidelined, the guy was a real warrior. Too bad the Habs traded him not too long afterwards during that summer. Savard was an awesome player but his career was winding down while Chelly’s was not more than a third done. They where only 1 year apart. Savard being the eldest. I was only 22 those where the days.
❤❤❤
I got my volume full blast you are whisperin my bruthaaaa
Nichols really beat that guy up. I don't remember him doing much fighting....
the Best of the Best
❤❤❤
Boschman was definitely an early example of a power forward. Sure that title didn't really get used much until players like Neely, Clark and Tocchet came on the scene but Boschman could do it all. I still find it cool he was a Senator and their first captain!
Loved Walt. He played great during his time with the Rangers and I was sad to see him go. R.I.P. Walt🙏🏼
Can't believe I just watched a guy...just some guy....try to stick handle around Bobby... If you look close enough.... You can actually see Bobby say.."nah... I don't think so"...lol
He played in Italy (HC Fassa), not France.
You got it? No, you got it? I got it?........noooooo Podubny's got it
Great video as always. Thank you brother for the great Hockey entertainment.
Note: Poddubny is spelled with 2 "d"s. RIP dear sir! I remember watching his rookie game with the Oilers, but they traded him right away for another pretty good player in Laurie Boschman, and then traded Boschman for veteran Willy Lindstrom.
Bet you posting didn’t know he coached the Alaska aces team!😳😉👍
That was an awesome video!! Appreciate you posting this!! Used to watch Mel in one of his many leagues back in the day and thought “ this guy will take on anybody at any time and keep throwing until he can’t…” to which I never saw him stop throwing?l he was one of the toughest I have seen, no doubt and one of my favourite fighters ever!! Great stuff!!
Yes, Finally a Wally video!
