    Personally I think that bikes like the tracer or the Turismo Veloce are different kind of bikes to the GSXS 1000GT and the Ninja 1000SX, the former are more like sport-trails to me

    • @niko9425
      @niko9425 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think so too. That's why they are also called "Crossover" by many companies.

    • @veljkovic92
      @veljkovic92 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Wouldn't completely agree with you after having both "classes".
      Tracer is higher than Ninja for example and with it you get more legroom(knee more open, comfortable), more upright position, more upper body wind protection, more counter-steering initial input(directly drops the bike) and, with that height it also does some off road.
      The Ninja puts the knees more bent because of it's more "compact", lower position. It also has probably slightly better lower body wind protection because of side panels. It's initial counter steer is less prominent due to tighter handlebar but than it makes your "body lean" sportier. Both are amazing bikes and one should definitely test them to decide. Both are great sport tourers where Tracer seems to be a bit of everything with accent on comfort and Ninja a bit of everything with accent on sport. All the best. 🖐️

    In America the out the door price of the Ducati multistrada V4 is almost twice the cost of the Yamaha tracer 9 gt. This is why I bought the Yamaha tracer 9 gt.

      Hands down a totally smart investment. If I were to downsize from my Super Tenere, it would very likely be the Tracer 9 GT. And yes,, I'm a Yamaha fan boy 😉.
      How is the machine serving you so far??

    • @justmyself1000
      @justmyself1000 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also to mention the cost of ownership, i.e. maintenance is twice the cost. Also, the reliability of the Tracer 9 GT is a big factor. No fun "touring" when your stuck in the middle of nowhere. I don't know this...but what octane is recommended in each bike?

    • @PaydayGabeBCNV
      @PaydayGabeBCNV 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And its generally a great machine for half the price. I'd do the same thing. 🙋‍♂️ Yamaha fan boy here🙋‍♂️!!

      @@justmyself1000 ,, I only run 91oct. in my bikes. Better performance, less detonation/ knocking.

      The V4 has got more to it than power.
      If you don't feel like unleashing all 170 ponies, you can just sit back and enjoy the quiet smoothness of the engine. 😊
      Something the V2 can not offer, at least not in the same matter.

    A beautiful MV for sure but comfortable for a touring not so sure about that. The BMW R1250RS is a very nice bike but it's styling is a bit of let down to me. Nobody is seriously taking this bikes further off road than a hard packed dirt or gravel road. What if you change the focus to the best One Up Sport touring/GT 800cc+ motorcycle? I'm thinking T9GT actually takes that top spot ...IMHO (Biased as I own one ) Also for 2023 the T9GT will likely take #1 for the best 800cc+ commuter also as it is getting the radar enhancement and a nicer one screen display....but I expect with inflation and the added feature the price will climb ever higher so if anyone does not commute then will be best to shop deals on left over '21 and '22 T9GTs I managed to buy my new '22 for MSRP alone without any added markup or bogus fees like set up and destination etc

    I love how everyone has an opinion on why this or that bike should be #1 or another shouldn’t be on the list and the bike they had is the best bike they have ever rode! Unless you have all these bikes and ride them all for a substantial amount of time to make a fair and impartial decision on their rankings, let the pros do that part! They take everything into consideration, such as handling, braking, performance, mpg, comfort and everything else involved in riding in every situation! A bike you thought was the best, you might completely change your mind riding something that you might of despised! I listen to the pros and go in with an opened mind, not already having a bias opinion like to many people seem to!

    It must be really comfort to ride that nt1100 though, but 110 hp feels not enough nowadays, super duke gt might be an animal although it's not known for best reliability. Multistrada is way to expensive, the z1000sx is to sporty for me, but its quality is top notch, the gsx-s1000gt isn't. Tracer would probably win if it had the cp4 engine, so my votes goes for superduke gt anyway

    You wouldn’t be the first motorcycle journalist to omit BMWs from a top 10 list do to your own personal bias.
    There is so much inconsistency with motorcycle journalist today that it sours the motorcycle experience and some might find it not worth the trouble especially since it’s a luxury (regardless of price) not a necessity.

    You'll never win with such a list, but not too shabby of an attempt.
    First issue will always be on the scale of Sports > Tourer and ones interpretation. Sports for me means it looks more like the current crop of sports bikes whilst Tourer means ... well you can tour in relative comfort. So the top 2 here are closer to the Tourer and even Adventurer. Whilst the Ninja and Suzuki clone are more Sports.
