    Thanks for the inquiry! I find myself using either 187 or 188 Stippling Brushes for liquid foundations as well. They give you a nice airbrushed look if you use it in a dotting manner. Charged water is limited edition, so don't get too married to it. It's great for any skin, and some have good essentials like Green Tea.

    hey Cutesai - Mixing Medium is used to turn any powder makeup to liquid or gel consistency. So if you want to use a particular powder eyeshadow as an eyeliner, you wet your brush with mixing medium, swipe it on to powder then apply. You'll notice that the powder will apply on like fluid. MM is also great for applying Pigments and Minerl Makeup.

    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey pirlofanatic - you can use a standard foundation brush for your cream-to-powder foundation. If you watch my FOUNDATIONS video, I featured some creams there and what brushes to use. I store my brushes in brush rolls. The ones I use often I just keep in holders. I use them enough that I wash them often.

    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    try a 109 brush using small circular motions - it does gives it that airbrushed look using creams.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Jaylyn - definitely.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    its on the to-make list. Keep watching, its coming soon.

    there is a lot of gifted people in the world, passionate about what they're doing, experts in their field, but only few of them can actually teach, explain, pass their knowledge. You are definitely a great teacher! love your tutorials!

    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very true! And like I said, what ever you use, it's practice that makes it perfect. Kudos to both blending and smoothing it out! I'm glad you enjoyed the demo.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Tinkerbelle - try just doing SPOT concealing! You can use Studio Finish Concealer if you want coverage. You might want to try a foundation primer as well. Smashbox Photo Finish does wonders.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey de916 - yes more on airbrushing soon, just trying to mix up my videos to cover different interests, but yeah keep watching, and there are more on airbrushing coming soon. For oily skin, you want something that will absorb the oils. Mineralized is best, as by nature, they absorb oils that skin produces. You can try MAC Mineral foundation loose, or the SkinFinish Naturals. Also, I find Studio Fix Liquid is great too as it sets to powder finish.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    thats cream-to-powder so you can use either a regular foundation brush like the MAC 190, or I like the 109 brush on creams.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a few Armani brushes, and yeah I find myself using them a lot. Just play with them when you visit a counter and buy what you think you'll use most. Whether an eyeshadow brush or foundation. That way you get the feel of using one.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey LePooke - i spray on a tissue first to make sure the product flows nicely prior to face. Sometimes you get 'spurting' on the guns, so doing that will kinda clear the nozzle first.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey joy - definitely check out Studio Fix Liquid. It sets to a nice powder-matte finish, and will take care of your slight shining.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Pirlo - i just remembered, I like using my MAC 192 also for cream-to-powder. Its also a great brush for Cream Color Bases. Anyhoo, 190 is probably better as the foundatin starts cream. Using short strokes is best to work the cream to the skin before it sets to powder finish.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Luna - it takes a little practice, but once you got it down its really easy to use. MAC do sell airbrush sets but only in their Pro Stores.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes! I definitely clean every use. Face brushes picks up loads of oils from your skin, and bacteria forms so fast on the brushes. At the most every other day is fine.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Kokokoda - thanks for subscribing. GOOD brushes will last a long time with proper TLC. If you have brushes that are shedding readlly badly, thats a good indication its time to replace.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's basically just charged water used as a rehydrating refresher mist. It will not make you look oilier, but if you're already oily, I highly doubt you need rehydration.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Athena I use an Iwata SMART Jet compressor, and I have Iwata Eclipse CS gun and Iwata HP-C gun. I think iwata leads the AB technology. However, depending on how you're using it, there are more personal sizes available if you're just using them on yourself. I suggest checking the AB section at Dixie Art. They have the best prices nationwide.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Contouring- use one shade darker than your natural tone and apply to the outer perimeters of your face, close to hairline, ear, jawline. You can contour under your cheekbones as well. Hi-lite your t-zone and your cheekbones with 1 or 2 shade lighter than your natural color. Make sure to blend and smooth out so that the foundation would look natural.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    I will eventually do a few vids on AB. You really want dual-action, better control of air and product, than single-action. Single action basically air and product comes out at the same time, dual you can control air by pressing the lever down, then control the flow of product by pulling the lever back.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hehe Steph- Studio MIST Foundation. Not recommended to directly spray on face. Best is to spray on back of hand, or better yet, a flat clean surface like a saucer, and use a foundation brush 190 or stippling brush 187.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey barbi - a stippling brush is best for liquid foundation and powders, as it gives a nice airbrushed finish to the product. Watch my coastalscents video, its the cheapest place to buy stippling brushes. Otherwise, MAC have one and Sephora sells them too. They are called Duo Fiber Stippling Brush.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey sutesai - yeah its Mixing Medium, not Fix+. Glycerin is widely used by cake makers as well, like for making fondant icing and such to keep the moisture in.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    i would go for the 190 more than a sponge. I also love using the 109 on cream foundations.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Philosgal - the brush you got is probably not binded well, therefore the bristles sheds. I would take it back and get it exchanged.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    i recommend applying Oil Control Lotion in your T-Zone 15 minutes prior to applying your foundation. Then use MAC Mattefying Gel as a primer for your t-zone, then use Studio Fix Foundation or Studio Stick Founation if you want a matte finish.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    it takes a little bit of practise and technique but once you get the hang of it its pretty easy. AB equipment are pretty expensive, they can go from $200 to $700 for the equipment alone.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Beauty! There's nothing wrong with being NEW to makeup. and there's so much to learn. Even I find myself learning new things each day. POWDER to set your foundation is a must (unless your foundation is powder already) - apply AFTER foundation.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey babyboo - its always safe to start medium, then build as needed, always step back and look at your bride to see how it looks from a couple feet back. Also, constantly take digital picture so you can also see what it looks like behind the lens. You're the artist, so when you achieve the look you're going for, thats when you stop.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well, depends on the skin I'm working on. I use a variety. I use MAC matte mineralized skinfinish because it gives such flawless finish. I use Cinema Secrets for photo shoots and weddings. Its probably the most camera-friendly foundation ever. For airbrushing, I like Temptu S/B Foundations. I have 2 airbrushes. An IWATA HP-C, and and IWATA Eclipse CS. Both are amazing workshorses.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Pucci - some foundation oxidizes on skin which makes it look darker after a few hours. The best brush to use with mousse foundation is either a regular foundation brush like the 190, or I also like using the 109 brush for mousses and creams.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    They are both great imho, but I tend to use Smashbox more because it really drive to a smooth finish, and my foundations just applied on like butter! I also like the caffeine infused in MACs, it wakes up the skin. Sometimes, I even mix the 2!

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    airbrush foundation doesnt stick to hair because of the positive/negative ions. Thats one thing amazing about airbrush make up. The ones designed for lashes and brows have added ingredient to make it adhere to the hair.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    arts and craft stores, or the cheapest online is Dixie Arts.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    I like MAC 150 for powder brush. 134 is great for mineralized, and 136 is great as well, just a bit pricey. I have tried so many brushes, and I find MAC, Armani, SHU brushes the best so far.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    its best to soak it in hot water first to really loosen up the foundation build up. Then you can use various detergents to wash it. Gentle woolite is great, laudry detergent, shampoo - Just make sure to REALLY rinse well. Wash the sponge as often as possible.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    absolutely, if you wear liquid it will give it a more airbrushed look to it.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey gloria - Hyper Real will give more coverage. BOTH have that dewey finish.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Gosh - now that is a tough comparison. I like them both depending on area of coverage. Both are fluffy and soft BUT 150 has a wider bristle, so I get more areas covered LOL.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes, i just use brush cleanser, and it I have the time -- Id wash using warm water and little baby shampoo

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    i got my system from DixieArt (dot com) and you can either use Airbrush Foundation, or any liquid foundation thinned with mixing medium to a milk consistency.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    try the NC 40 in fluid

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    you do it the same time when you moisturize. I even mix it with the moisturiser if that doesnt have spf.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey acaine - believe it or not, you can use MAC's Airbrush Cleanser as a thinner to water down liquid foundations for airbrush use. MAC recommends that you mix 40/60 with any of their liquid foundations, im sure it be about same with prescriptives.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    hi Liehieze -yes definitely

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your irritations can be caused by Micas, SPF, Titanium Dixide, or Squalene (not squalane). SO try to watch out for those in your HG hunt. Try Biotherm Matte Souffle or Sense Matte. Check out Armani Luminous Silk while youre at it.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    ive used both - depends on my client. If theyre allergic to silicones, then I cant use airbrush foundations that are silicone based. If they are used to a certain liquid foundation, then I use that thinned with mixing medium for airbrush application.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    No, using a Primer is key - primers will coat and fill fine lines, crevisces, and pores without clogging, so that way the foundation doesnt sink into those and will look smoother and more flawless.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    most powder brushes are too soft to be used as a foundation brush, specially in using cream products. You want something a little stiffer like perhaps a flat-top buffer.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    they are both stippling brushes, same material, just different manufacturers. I use both now, specially when I need more than one stippler. Both works just the same.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey way - you will need to dilute any MAC liquid foundation with MAC Airbrush Cleanser. This is a pro product use to thin out liquid products and also doubles to wash out airbrushes. The recommended ratio is about 60/40 or until the foundation about the consistency of milk. Now, if you are using MAC Airbrush Foundation, you dont need to dilute.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    it will help if you use a wet sponge, otherwise, your sponge will just absorb the makeup more than it applies on your skin. and always discard the sponge every use, so get a bad of inexpensive sponges if you go that route.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  15 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes - use the 190

  • @LisaFreemontStreet
    @LisaFreemontStreet 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's so great! I never realized the sponge absorbed that much product...I am virtually getting no coverage using one and now I realize why. DOH! I just bought the Coastal Scents brush and I'm really anxious to use it! Thanks!

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey sugarmelon -yes sythetics are ideal for liquids and creams.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey cutesai - not sure what AB brands are avail in the philippines. I use Temptu products. You can pretty much use ANY liquid foundation in airbrushing, you just need to dilute it with airbrush medium. 40/60 ratio.

  • @Beachangel1221
    @Beachangel1221 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for showing the sponge. I have been trying to figure out why people use them for applying makeup. It really does soak up all the foundation. I've used them wet and dry and I just make a mess. Now I know they are for *blending*. I've always used my fingers but you have convinced me to try a foundation brush for applying and then a sponge or blending brush for blending. I can't wait! Thank you Koren.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    oh yes definitely - you will get less streaking if you use a brush with cream2powders.

    if you wet the spong it makes the application smoother and it absorbs less makeup

    i have always applied foundation using a wedge sponge, but i recently tried applying it with a sponge and i have to tell you, i'm a convert to the brush. i thought i wouldn't be able to wield it, or there would be streaks, but there weren't and i'm happy. sponges are great for blending though. :) i can't wait for the day when i can use an airbrush :)

  • @EnKoreMakeup

    definitely exhange it - it shouldnt be loose.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Mary - have you tried MoistureLush? Its great for flakey dry skin. All Eucerin is pretty good too.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  17 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Rosiemkay - are your dark circles on the purple-ish or red-ish side? You will have more success in covering them by using a concealer or color corrector first before your foundation. I use a concealer in the Salmon tone to anyone. The best Ive used is from Eve Pearl. Her Magic Salmon Concealer wheel is a must-have for me.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey sarah - like aerosol ones or pumps? Aerosols I dont like - there is very little work-time to blend at it dries and sets too fast.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    the compressor runs about $150 and up, and the guns run $100 and up. The cosmetics are also on the pricey side. It is quite an investment, but artists can charge $250 and up for a look.

  • @Sprut6
    @Sprut6 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this. I always used my fingers but I just bought a foundation brush. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it and that's how I came across this video. :) I would love to try an air brush at some point but I know they are a little pricey.

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    it works just like a 187, only smaller so it covers small areas - it will take you longer to cover a whole face with foundation using 188, vs 187. Otherwise, thats the only diff really.

  • @saral6978
    @saral6978 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would think the airbrush tool would be a little difficult to use on yourself, and would probably take some practice. I don't wear liquid foundation right now, but when I did I used a sponge and I guess I didn't realize how much product gets wasted. Thanks for these tips!

    its sooo hard to spot the fakes, until they fall apart on you. The easiest one to look at is the metal plate where its crimped by the handle. Fake ones flares out and real ones hugs the handle.

    Yes, (But only wet it SLIGHTLY otherwise you get a face full of water.)
    In my opinion, a soft tapered brush (like the one used in this video) is the best thing to use.
    (Unless you are a pro.)
    Good luck!

  • @EnKoreMakeup
    @EnKoreMakeup  16 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey prettypink - you are probably better off getting compressors and guns like the pros uses. IWATA brand makes the best in AB systems. The cheapest place I know is DixieArt (dot)com I highly suggest the Jet Smart compressor and the Eclipse C gun.
