- This is the Asus TUF A15 one month review and I must say I was not as impressed with this laptop as I hoped I would be. It has a great aesthetic but it underperformed.

After spending one month with the 2022 Asus TUF A15 I must say I really like the design and build of the A15. It looks great, it is well assembled, and it is fairly thin and light (for a gaming laptop). I must confess, overall I thought I would be able to pull more performance out of the Ryzen 7 6800H and RTX 3060 than I was able to. So punch for punch this NOT-so-budget gaming laptop is not my top pick. As mentioned in the video, I link a few models I prefer over this laptop in the link above.

has a larger screen and a 45w cpu instead of a default 35w(hs) cpu and says he's dissapointed w/ battery omfg ubsubscribed
Not to mention the 140 TGP 3060 outperforms all 3060s out there on laptops and beats some 3070s too !
He probably has the 50wh battery becasue in jarrods list its the top performing laptop in battery life with around 650min in video playback and in the end hes telling us to get an alternative from high end laptop while this is a budget 💀 like strix and legion 5pro are better yes but not the same price💀
Omg, so many versions of the screen. I ordered the one with 2550 x 1600 with 165 Hz… will be interesting testing it on games like Escape From Tarkov. EfT ran fine on my 2020 A15 4800H with 1660ti on low settings, 144 Hz.
@@mikaelbiilmann6826 if you'r going from 1080p to 1440p dont be surprised if your fps doesnt 'bump up' much. You can always resort to dlss thoughm and dlss3 (with rtx4000) is pretty decent from my testing so far

I have this one with a 3070 for 1350 bucks for the price I am happy with it. I mainly use it for 3d moddeling texturing and game dev

do you find the 3070 enough for your needs? I am worried the 8 gb virtual memory would be a bottleneck for modelling and unreal engine
@@batmanonholiday4477 honestly 3070 should be fine however if you really want to future proof your device going with a 3080 isn't a bad choice if you have the money for it

The reason I got this laptop was price. Also are you sure about your battery? Mine lasts waaay longer
They ought to have made this and the Zephyrus G15 larger all-AMD alternatives to the Zephyrus G14. AMD-nVIDIA laptops with 3060 GPUs are kind of pointless, because they are in general just strictly inferior versions of equivalent all-AMD alternatives. Heck, even some 3070 AMD-nVIDIA configurations barely offer enough of a performance edge to be compelling options.
If you are going to hit that 3060 budget sweet spot, then at least go with Intel and higher wattage 3060 as the TUF Gaming F15 12700H + 140w 3060 configuration does, which offers enough power to make the dip in efficiency worth considering. One reason ASUS doesn't go all-AMD in the A15 may be that they want to offer their signature "value" 144Hz FHD as an option as they do for the Gaming F15 and the Dash F15.
ASUS love slapping that "value" panel on laptops so much, they ought to have a marketing term for it. As an alternative to their high end "Nebula Display," maybe ASUS can call their budget panel options "Cumulus Display" or something to highlight their murky colors and sluggish response times. In any case, having a Cumulus Display definitely disqualifies a laptop from having the AMD Advantage sticker.

Had 2 zypherus laptops both models blew the mosfets while playing a simple game like farm sim 22 the 2nd one had the CPU short to ground
My g75 series from 2016 is still kicking but these micro thin laptops being pushed for gaming is very horrible for heat dissipated

That is the part number this laptop that I'm talking about has the RTX 3070 with 165 hurt refresh rate screen an adaptive sync and it's 15 in there is no information anywhere on this laptop that I have just showing this laptop in the video is not the one posted in this comment

If you're still looking for an answer, this laptop's 3060 outperforms all other 3060s in the market due to it being 140 watts instead of the usual 130, it's also quite light at around 2 kilos and the battery life lasts around 8 hours for me on video playback. I don't have the acer nitro's specs in mind but depending on the price, this probably will be the better performance in general
@@Filled2105 Acer Nitro is pretty similar on the specs but the battery sucks mega balls. 4 hours if you're lucky. A15 is the sweet spot between power, battery and portability

Hello brother, I’m interested to buy an entry level gaming laptop.Would you please advise me on which model to purchase? Aside from doing the usual stuff with my laptop (some software work, office work, browsing, etc.), I'm a mid-level gamer.
I have two models in mind.
1. ASUS TUF A15 (Ryzen 7 4800H)...(rtx 3050)
2. HP Victus 15 (Intel 12500H)...(rtx 3050)
The only difference between the two models is the processor. Though HP has a better processor, even after that, everyone suggests I buy an ASUS TUF A15. What’s the reason behind it?
Does the processor play a significant role in gaming?

What’s your budget and the max you’ll spend cause i’ve been doing research on different models and brands for months. i found this laptop for 900$ at micro center which is the best price for a laptop with those specs.
Imma be honest dude if I'd suggest getting maybe a worse cpu and getting a 3060 if possible, it's definitely going to last you much longer than the 3050
Well, mine is the 2022 asus tuf a15 with the rtx 3060 8gb ram (expandible up to 32gb) and 500 gb, 144hz, ryzen 5000 series... I'm happy with its performance. I can play over 100 fps on CS:GO, over 60 fps on gta 5..

My brand new ASUS TUF 15 was delivered broken.
The battery was defect, and ASUS service denied it.
800 euro up in smoke.
Why wouldn't they cover it under warranty?
@@ht1dt This far ASUS won't even acknowledge the battery is defect (loosing ENORMOURS amounts of power, even when turned off).
Thats really annoying. In Australia we have a government agency that you can make a complaint against a company that won't honor their warranty because legally they have to comply with the warranty laws. I hope you can do that in your country and make a complaint against Asus.

If you don't need the portability of a laptop I would go with a desktop but not a brand desktop but a custom one that you can buy from PC stores or build your own. I built 4 desktops and rarely have problems because I research the hell out of the parts😆 plus a desktop lasts longer and you can easily upgrade and repair it yourself.
Dont buy asus i am facing lot of problems . It had problems from very beginning so far 3 parts have been replaced in 3 months display, wifi and motherboard… so don’t fall trap to reviews by TH-camrs as some of them may be paid reviews terrible experience with asus tuf a15

@@Limited_Freedom He is lucky its working, Mine had problems.. Its this laptop that i am not happy with in last 20 years, i used IBM laptop, then Lenovo, HP, Dell event my compaq 12 year old is still work but slow. I never had problem with any of these laptops which i used in past except i had to change battery which usually get weeks over the years.. or charger.. But with ASUS my display which was replaced seems to had issue from very beginning, so they replaced it after it after 2 months of complains, Then WIFI was dead so that was replaced and after few weeks other problems started to showup so service center replaced motherboard. I am not sure if this laptop was cursed or what. even i am tired of complaint about this laptop, It could be 1 in 100 cases that face problems.. It was first time for me too. Hard to believe..
