Rtx 3060 vs3080 laptop
My Asus Tuf came with an interesting spec...it has 2 ram sticks in 2x8 configuration and I had no idea that's how I'd get it (assumed it'd be 1x16 gig stick). Is this a good or a bad thing for the laptop?
I bought the 6800h paired with the 3070 and Qhd display. Wow what an upgrade to my old Aorus 15 with a Gtx 1070. Now I can play any game at qhd. All for a low price of £1200 on sale at Box Uk.

I would like to add something, Here in India, a quite prominent tech reviewer tested the 2022 tuf F15 and that came with Dual channel 16GB DDR5 memory so everyone trying to get this one might need to check in their region.
Hope you get other 3060 laptops soon. Especially excited for this year's dash series!
Would pick a 1x16GB any day of the week. I'd need to buy 1 stick of 16GB instead of 2 if I want more ram AND dual channel.

I wish we could get all the possible laptop configurations and colors in Perú, wue usually get the bunch of black/grey rtx3050 versions and very few rtx 3070 + not talking about while color laptops which I think look so nice, I’m glad you are trying different ram do that on every single laptop you try man! Hey Jarrod, i recently bought the Asus strix g15 and the 1x16gb memory stick does cause some problems for me in some places on CoD Warzone. It has like -40% fps drops.

This year's tuf, atleast here in India is atrociusly expensive. Last year's tuf was launched here at about 1400 usd while this year's model has launched at 1800 (both 3060 models).

Are you going to review the Gigabyte G5? I wanted to get a RTX 3060 laptop for relatively cheap. Initially I was going to get the MSI Katana GF66 but it's increased a lot in price now (in the UK), so I'm looking now at the cheaper G5. But all the reviews I've found on it aren't going into both the pros and cons of it, nor the exact power of its GPU nor the screen response time, to name some. I was hoping a thorough review of it would help me decide if I still stick to the GF66 or not

Hi Jarrod, I saw a similar model with 2 x 8GB RAM, same processor and GPU, but the screen is a qhd 165hz display and was wondering if the response times for that screen is good or not. I'm currently torn between getting a lenovo legion 5, ryzen 5 6600h 3060 16gb ram qhd 165hz display or the tuf with the specs i listed. They're both selling for around 1150£.

Interesting! Jarrod, I notice you are also missing 2 options in system configuration on the armoury crate app. One of them is panel over drive “3ms”. I wonder if these options were removed? 🤔 I was about to send back my tuf f15 300hz.
There you have your answer, your panel doesn't have the "panel over drive 3ms" function, thats reserved to the 1440p panel

just bought the A15 and upgrade the ram to 32gb dual channel, using Perfomances Mode in my laptop model theirs quite performances bost at least the game that i played(Dota2,Elden Ring, PUBG, Valorant) about 8% boost. due note that i may not have benchmark it properly

I just bought 2020's version of A15 last year, around June 2021. Still having regrets due to most content creators saying how horrible my laptop's cooling system.. wished I saved a bit more and buy Legion 5 instead
Well same just bought 2020 model just as i watched reveiws oj youtube of how hot it is but thanks to ryzen Controller least i can do to not make it too hot

Hey jarrod, I do editing, programming and a lot of gaming, so, what is your opinion for dell g15 5521 special edition, i7 12700h, rtx 3060 (with mux switch) (115+15W), screen - QHD 240hz.
Also suggest a few more similar priced options which might be better, preference is screen AND performance.
Also what is better 6800h or 12700h if they are similar speced and priced?
I haven't had the chance to fairly compare those processors yet, but I suspect Intel for gaming/multi core work, AMD for battery life/performance on battery.

Almost all of the full powered rtx laptops run pretty damn close in framerates (with same gpu) ... THE major factor in my opinion is the SCREEN,,, hell, its the way you interact with the laptop. the slower sceen will be absolutely noticeable for a FPS gamer.... which is likely a large percentage of the buyers

I was looking to upgrade my ROG SCAR II because of the processor (i7 8850H). Sadly it seems it doesnt make enough of a difference to jump to a 3xxx series graphics card :/

I bought a ASUS TUF GAMING A17 (2022) barely a month ago and is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H APU RTX 3050Ti and 16GB DDR5 (2x8GB) 4800Mhz and an Intel NVMe SSD 512GB and I installed a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1T NVMe with SSD.
The problem is that the processor is very hot for some reason. I have to reach 93C degrees of core heat (limit: 95C degrees)
Currently, MSI Afterburner cannot print the core heat, it may not have been updated yet.
I would like to ask who uses this CPU for them to have such high temperatures?

I have the same laptop (fa707rw) with Ryzen 7 6800h and rtx 3070ti. It was running very hot (95 Celsius) so I deleted armoury crate and disabled turbo boost in windows power settings. The temps are now 40 idle and 70 gaming.
There is a tuf available in the UK with a 3060 for £800
It seems that the main reason this laptop beat’s legion 5 with 5800h is thanks to the new 6800h cpu and not because of the increased power limit on 3060. If you look at rdr2 1080p benchmark new Asus tuf has basically same fps as last years legion 5i with 130W RTX 3060, while legion 5 with 5800h is slower then both of them

Hey Jarrod what is a better option, MSI GP66 Leopard with i7 11800H or Legion 5 with Ryzen 7 5800H. Both have max TGP RTX 3060.
Which one is cheaper in your region ? It depend on what type of games you play ,if it singleplayer games both are good but for esport gaming msi is better choice because intel do better in games, also note that amd is better choice than intel if battery life is important to you
Would of liked to see the review with the intel. I've seen a 12650h with a 3070 for $1,399 and a 12700h with a 3060 for $1,499 USD, I haven't even seen one for sale with and AMD cpu.
Not sold in my country yet, plus I wanted the chance to actually get a 6800H laptop.

Obviously not, this is a performance review and those are gonna perform way worse.
Apart from performance numbers, like build, keyboard, trackpad, maybe display if that is same, those things can be applied
might I ask why you do not include the NEO 15 results with the liquid cooling?
Because liquid cooling is a 200$ add on and not everyone who will buy that laptop will buy it. He did make a seprate video tho showing how much performance increase liquid cooling gives

@@jacques-hendrikvanaswegen281 But those laptops don't have add on. He has mentioned many times that for the comparison chart, he puts the stock performance numbers of the laptop as they come out of the box without any add ins or ram upgrade etc
The honest answer is I didn't use game comparison graphs in that video so the data was never added to the normal spreadsheet for it, I've added it now so they may appear in future videos if it makes sense to do so. I only get room for 20 or so laptops on those comparison graphs, so you also have to factor in what people are more likely to buy etc. I can't just fit everything.

Hitman 3 is a wack game bro, u gotta pay for each episode and its not like it used to be so no one really plays anymore. They shouldve had all that years ago when released and allowed you to pay once for an entire game
@@boppernostopper8598 thats not the case at all. The "buying each episode" was only in hitman 1. All 3 hitmans r S tier and alot of people ik still play it including me. U just have to buy each game once to unlock all episodes in the campaign. DLC is sold seperately as it is with every game. They r obviously not going to give the legacy packs of hitman for free.
