I have had that laptop for 4 months too, and I totally agree with you. The main problem is the brightness. Lol if u have one window open u fcking can't play on this, really. And what are u thanking about temperatures, just look my quadro k5000 was burnt, and i scare when i see 77 temp on my GPU.
Got this laptop 11 months ago and I have to say that I'm quite satisfied with how it held up. My only complaints are it's touch pad that became glossy after 4 months of use as my finger acted like a sandpaper and now that glossy area attracts lots of oil. Apart from that I'm quite happy about the rest.

Anyone got this laptop? I got this laptop with the qhd 165hz screen and I'm having issues with the integrated graphics 780m. I keep getting driver timeout errors and the screen blacks out and reloads. it will crash when trying to go to the hdr section of windows display settings or to try to calibrate hdr. Anyone have problems with using amd graphics?
I didn't have this problem because I installed a new version of AMD software after that I saw that I can't update it so I think it is a driver issue

Tuf a15 Cpu is so hot compare to legion, anyone know why ? Even though on the same spec, the legion work better yet with lower cpu heat, is that still the case ?

I have the same laptop, but I have a question for you: how much did your processor and video card heat up to the maximum? when playing
I have this laptop too and the cpu it was never more then 90 degrees but I changed some windows settings and now it is in 70 degrees and the GPU is around 70-80 sometimes maybe like 81 but I think that the windows settings change is unnecessary because it doesn't overheat but if you are like someone like me you will change it
And the changed setting and it is the same but the laptop chassis getting hotter because of this change because the ventilators don't need to spin that fast as before

i have this same laptop, and my temps used to be around 92-degree Celsius, then i disabled the turbo boost and the laptop stays under 80 degrees with no loss in performance.

TUF is far from perfect, but it's a lesser evil. Almost every unit has a peopblem or two at least but I'd rather take it than LOQ or Victus. Maybe Nitro, if I find a decent deal?
Gonna be honest with and I’m just speaking from my personal experience I have had no issues

@@DarknoorX I didn't have issues with this generation too maybe higher ping but that's because the WiFi chip is not that good maybe you had the previous generation idk or bad unit. I think it is not the best laptop but it is the best in this category and the F is even better if you want performance but the battery life is much more worse

When I saw the laptop irl I recognised the screen was quite dim and i couldn't turn up the brightness,are you able to and how?
Yes you can change the brightness in the settings . If gaming you can also up the brightness Wich helped me allot

@@brandonniala9726I agree but in testing it gets around 270 and 290 and in my lucky case 301 nits so It's about the luck but with some of the settings you can tune it to look that it has a higher brightness

depends on budget and what games your thinking of playing. in my opinion id save up a little longer as you want it to last but both are great options !!!
The thing is you'll get lower performance because the Lenovo has lower watts you'll also get less battery life😅 so I would save a bit more or get an hp omen
@@MiwuScience1 yeah I Almost made a similar mistake looking for a laptop the difference between the ASUS TUF 240 w charger and other laptops with lower power is very noticeable and very misleading for people who don’t understand and just see RTX 4060 and lower price and just assume it’s a better deal . Did you have any software related problems with this laptop? Especially with asus pre installed apps or like driver issues or keyboard changeing colors on its own?
I have the laptop and nothing only maybe that the armoury crate uses more RAM but everything else is great
@@jakubmotyka900 can you somehow disable armory crate without deleting it, so it won't use ram in background? I heard that Ghelper is a better alternative for armory crate

Yes! it's normal for heavy games. AMD CPU are always getting hot because they take more power then Intel.

There is a newer 2024 version using AMD 8000 series. Mine is 2023's model with Ryzen 9 7940HS with RTX4060. Nice and smooth, decent with price and ratio performance. You have to understand this is a mid-range laptop. But for you to buy in 2024 i don't recommend. The system starts to struggle with the latest Unrealengine 5 graphic. This laptop is clearly a big NO for those who want a bit of future proofing. But if you are more to casual gaming, content creation this laptop is excellent. Battery life in eco-mode can last solid 4 hours doing worksheet and surfing the internet casually. But for heavy multi-tasking, it only survives for 1 and a half hour (worksheet, surfing internet casually, rendering video editing at the same time).
I was thinking to buy this laptop for gaming and i was expecting to use it for at least 3 years. So , what laptop do you recomend me to play for a couple of years more? Im in italia, this model costs 1400€
@@Weathley23 If you can wait, i suggest wait for next year RTX5000 series. But if you want to buy this year, go for at least RTX 4080. But sadly thats gonna be expensive. Honestly in my humble opinion 2024 is a bad year to invest for RTX4060 laptop as we are transitioning to Unreal Engine 5. Go and search in TH-cam RTX4060 is starting to show sign of struggle when handling Unreal Engine 5. Barely hit 60 fps even in 1080 gaming. Good luck

Don't have problems with this and this laptop can definitely last 5 to 6 maybe even more years yes you could not play after 3 years games on max settings but on the unreal engine 5 the graphics is not that good optimised for it you need to wait

😅😅😅bruh nobody runs ultra setting with raytracing at high quality without frame generation on laptops .. frankly its nothing but boasting and having satisfaction but in reality medium settings are enough for a laptop even after 5 years it will last..if you want latest piece of hardware for every 2 years then if you have money to soend then its ok . But frankly almost 80% of gamers who use laptops dont buy laptop every year or 2 . 8GB to 10GB gpu with 13 th gen or 14th after 6 years will still perform as it supposed by proper maintenance.. and even after 6 years most games would very much likely to run at medium settings for a 4060 ..game creators do know to create games keeping in mind that their games must run on almost every gamer who's having 6 to 8gb gpu.. and with a 4nm processor in 2032 still will perform any tasks
This laptop sucks at poorly optimized games like SQUAD and ARMA 3-Like, it's not worth it's price and I wish I bought a version with 4070 bcz 4060 is ABSOLETELY disappointing. Also the cash of the CPU is cut down, talking about storage... you'll need an upgrade for sure. Whenever you close the cover of your laptop it doesn't put it to sleep lol
I mean if the poorly optimised games it’s not really the laptops fault more the games and how they were made . And yeah the storage ain’t great but I upgraded mine with a 2tb m.2 drive about 100£ really fast and easy to install it runs basically every AAA game that I’ve tested
