- It really doesn't sound great and might be the worst rename ever for an F1 team ever. With Alfa Romeo ending their partnership with Sauber and the need to secure the team until Audi enters in 2026, Sauber have sold the Name of the team to Stake.com and Kick.com.
This is more of a reaction video but lets see what the deal is with this awful name and if there is anything redeeming about it.

Kick is owned/backed by stake too, so it's really one entity. More double standard, nicotine sponsor illegal, but gambling while getting drunk okay.

What I hate the most is how overly expensive Formula 1 is. To have great constructors go under bc they don’t have the money is a crime. Meaning the real lovers of racing are gone and the lovers of money are in. Which leaves only manufacturers able to play in the sandbox but just like kids they’ll leave pouting if they don’t get their way. They’re not real racers just opportunists look at Honda they’re in or out based on the board whose decisions have as much integrity as a leaf blowing in the wind.
I do wonder what F1 would look like after an enormous financial collapse. Who would be left

The name would not be as meme-worthy decent if it was Sauber-Stake-Kick-F1.

I think it is sad to see what Sauber is doing. If we look at Ferrari, McLaren, Williams they are the 3 oldest F1 teams🏎. They are Motorsport, they have a huge history, they are those big names.
Sauber is the 4 oldest still running F1 team... they have a big History as well but they are not Proud enough to say: "We are Sauber." a team like the oldest 3 teams would never remove their name out of the team name becaus they are Proud to be what they are... Sadly we do not see that at Sauber...😔😕
I understand that they need the money💰
As a swiss guy I still hope the best for the team but History tends to repeat it self and Mr. Peter Sauber will not again buy his team back to safe it. Even when Audi makes it's stiker on the car in 2026, for me the team will remain a swiss company and a swiss racing team.
But yes the 2024 team name is a bit of a joke. I think they smoked on a evening to much weed.😅

"Red Bull" isn't the most "advertisingy" F1 team name? I must say that I am most sad that Sauber will be moving away from Ferrari engines... that has been part of their DNA, but that's also why Audi couldn't put their branding on the car before they take over - Ferrari would never allow it. (Before anyone assumes, no I'm not a Merc stan, but I do dislike the RB team mainly due to the fact that they're an advertising operation first and foremost, rather than a pure racing team.)
I try to think of it as team Milton Keynes with a Red Bull logo slapped on it
