- From struggles at the first Grand Prix to internal shake-ups and performance woes, I uncover the challenges plaguing the Alpine F1 team. With key personnel changes and a rocky relationship between Ocon and Gasly, the drama is palpable. Can Alpine turn it around or should Renault just sell the Enstone based team and move on? Is there hope or are Alpine Screwed?!

Is there hope or should Renault sell up?
They should be sold to Tesla. Hollywood celebrities invested heavily
Wrexham FC Racing...
Andretti: *heavy breathing*
Get me on the phone to France!
McLaren and Williams fought back but Alpine/Renault won’t. Sounds kind of familiar France 🤔 🤨
Too much corporate meddling at Renault
The Prost story has already shown us that France is never gonna be behind their national team like Italy is with Ferrari.
Ngl , as a French who started following F1 since 2020 and being a strong alpine fan since they took over Renault. It’s been very depressing to keep supporting them 😢I don’t know why I keep being optimistic , but I hope at one point somehow things will turn around
Honestly you could see most of the issues start in 2022 when Laurent Rossi was getting more and more involved often butting heads with Otmar. In 2021 when he let Marcin Budkowski do his work the team had unity, respect and direction. The drivers worked together towards common goal helping each other get their best results for the team.
All valid points Paul! After spending some very happy years in Enstone between 2001 - 2009 I'm finding it very painful to watch the slow demise of Alpine. I'm not sure what the right course of action would be. If Renault sell then who would be interested in buying damaged goods? Things HAVE to change but this is not a quick process. Unfortunately, It looks like they've lost their 'Team Spirit'. I just hope that all the staff are treated correctly if it does go down the drain...
Renault group need to know that by letting Alpine slide, they are taking a perfectly good F1 facility down with them.
Say what you will about Flavio Briatore, he at least let the team get on with the job and turned Alonso into a megastar. There's far too much micro-managing from those at the top. Former CEO Carlos Ghosn once said he had no interest in F1 and was only there for marketing reasons. It's laced within every inch of the Renault hierarchy.
@@alexpeak16not to mention that Mitsubishi, one of the tripartite isn't doing too well. It's been 8 years since the discontinuation of the Lancer
amazing video, gr8 work m8
Appreciate it, thanks for watching
Things can chance fast in f1
They need to stop seeing the team as an A110 advertisement and actually start giving a crap about the team, go back to being Renault, a name with meaning in F1, put some money in the team rather than rely on celeb investment (extra money that does still help of course) and let the F1 staff do their jobs unobstructed, maybe move the engine dept. to enstone for more harmony, maybe then they’ll start succeeding. If they aren’t willing to do that, they should sell up, which would still be a shame losing Renault from F1 again (unless they stay as just a engine supplier)
Very well said
Great video.
Thanks very much, appreciate it!
I mean if the English people working in Enstone don't like working for a French brand they can just get out. Never heard english worker complain about Ferrari or Haas or Mercedes, and i also don't hear people complain when Mclaren F1 try to say they are an English team when this F1 team was founded by BRUCE MCLAREN !
Thing is those teams are not trying to push a single nationality like Alpine are. The teams you mentioned like Ferrari, Haas, Mercedes and Mclaren are a lot more subtle about it.
Bunch of business guy who know nothing about engineering & racing, try to head the team.. That what you got..
And how many times have we seen that before
Alpine wanted to become the french Ferrari but instead they became the french Ferrari.
Tbf nobody likes Ocon...
Will he get a drive next year?
Idk, i think he gets bagged on a little too much
He probably will since his pace is still very good plus he got a podium in Monaco of all places last year in that tractor
Allpain
Love it
Do the french even care for them??
Now THAT is a very interesting question
