    I have one set. The setback I find is that the top buttons can be accidentally touched when putting or removing goggle from face. A sliding drawer to cover the buttons would have solved the problem.

    is there a video on how to find the correct vtx channel.

    • @FPVtips
      @FPVtips  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not that I know of, but generally speaking, you want to SET the channel on the VTX (usually using smart audio OSD and your controller, in other cases by pushing a button on your VTX), then just change your goggles' channel to that same channel and you're set :)

    Hi there,
    I wondered whether, like me, the foam of the Sky02x is starting to desintegrate?
    I was looking for replacement, maybe a thicker foam, but couldn't find anything valuable. Have you ever considered printing a new faceplate and using Fatshark foams?
    Thanks!

    • @FPVtips
      @FPVtips  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. I had this happen to me on my previous goggle - the Aomway Commanders v1 (oldest ones). I do not have any issue with the foam on the Skyzones, it's as good as new, and I've been using them A LOT. I did expect it to disintegrate quite quickly, but pleasantly surprised so far, and I'm using the regular face plate foam, not the "leathery finish" one. I'm not sure if a 3D printed faceplate would hold up, but I would imagine so, that would make for an interesting project. I know the Skyzones 03o's come with 2 different faceplate options, so if those would fix the 02x, maybe you could just snatch a faceplate for cheap from Banggood or elsewhere?

    Anyone have issues with the DVR recording coming out at 4:3 when my cam and goggles are set to 16:9? Or is it because the camera can only record at 4:3?

    • @FPVtips
      @FPVtips  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Skyzone have been talking about some hardware limitation on the panels of the o30's so I wonder if that's somehow connected and the reason why the DVR would come out always as 4:3. Indeed, I never had anything but 4:3 DVR, not even on my Aomways, or my modded old VR007s. Google around a bit :)

      Nice, glad you sorted it out. I was a bit scared when I was first removing it too, you definitely don't wanna snap the plastic, but it's more robust than what it looks like.

    Are you reviewing the HD camera or the goggles? It seems like the the goggles are secondary on the screen.

    • @FPVtips
      @FPVtips  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback. I think it's a good point, definitely keeping in mind for future videos. Here the logic was that flight footage + dvr overlay is a bit less boring the me holding the goggles in front of the camera for 20 minutes, but I can easily see how that can be seen as a disconnect between what I talk about and what is seen on the screen. Thanks for taking the time to voice your thoughts :)

    • @SPotter1973

      @@FPVtips the tempo of the video is great, your flying skills spot on. There are certainly more pros to your editing and production than cons. I am holding out for 16:9 OLED so if something else like these Goggles pop up I will watch it, they seem to be a winner... Thanx for your time and energy that you have invested in the hobby.

    Hey, does 3s or 4s battery last a while in the googles or you have to change it often??

    • @FPVtips

    • @FPVtips
      @FPVtips  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used old quad batteries - a 1300mah 3S battery. So I guess anywhere you can get batteries in your country. I'm using Banggood usually as I don't care for the wait and the prices are pretty low for high quality batteries. There are a number of other sites you could check depending on your location. Let me know if you need more info :)

    Does it come with that 90degree SMA adapter?

    • @FPVtips
      @FPVtips  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't but I love that thing and highly recommend it. I think it should be somewhere here on my gear list: blog.georgi-yanev.com/fpv/gear-2019/#goggles
      The best thing about it is that you can leave it on your goggles, thus not stripping the goggle's SMA connector by constantly putting on and off the antenna.
