Fantastic flying and review, Nick!!! 😃
The goggles seem to be great! It's good to see they fixed the DVR as well! 😃
I absolutely love those my buddy has the regular sky02 abd they are sweet and they fit really good one day I'll have that same set I love the galaxy look thanks Nick great video as always
Great review, and I really appreciate the opinions. Skyzone's goggles have always intreagued me, but without being able to actually get my hands on them, I have been reluctant to pull the trigger. But with a power button, fully integrated fan, integrated receiver, and all other features... these are VERY attractive. Last, I really appreciate your review in regards to allowing these to speak for themselves. Comparisons are useful, but they're not the full story. And if a product can stand on it's own legs without needing to compare itself to it's rivals, that speaks leaps and bounds for that product. Great job, Nick!
Thank you. I was very apprehensive doing this review in such a way. In my mind, I kept saying "they aren't as good as FatShark HDO with RapidFire", but sheesh, that's $700 of goggle gear. I don't expect our family car to be as nice or as fast as a car twice as expensive.
You make Great, Well Informed Videos Nick! I Always Learn Something New!
Thank you. I appreciate the compliment.
I'm excited I have a set of the Sky02C (without head tracker or camera) out for delivery today.
Nice review Nick, not to spam your comments but RDQ has the new SkyZone OLEDs on pre-order and the 02C version in stock ($259).
Just in case anyone was looking for them in the USA.
No worries. Enjoy those goggles.
Thanks for the review!
*i appreciate your time...and thanks for watchin*...those tagline always make me smile. You do have a good complete communicatiin skills, Thank you sir.
Thank you very much. I think the edit make me sound much better than reality. The tag line is just how I feel. I know we all have much demanding our attention and I appreciate everyone who takes time from something else to watch a video on this channel.
Good info Nick. Thanks for your great reviews as always.
Thank you
Been looking at a pair of these for my wife and friends to use, have to figure out those diopters though.
I fly the older Skyzone 02s. I like the FOV and resolution better than fatsharks. I run airscrew and a triple feed patch. Good range in my experience.
good info thank you for sharing.
thank you very much for this useful review, Nick. have a nice day and best wishes for you 👍👍🙏👍❤️🍻
Great review Nick. Thanks for sharing 👍 👍👍 👍
Great job nick, im kind of on the fence with which goggle to buy ( still saving up) the v5s or the 02x skyzones thanks for the reviews I'm always well informed with yours.
Thank you. I appreciate the compliment.
Great review. Concise and to the point. Keep them coming!
Thank you. A bit longer than I had hoped :(
Length was perfect. I love watching you fly. Keep them coming!
Thank you
These seem like great goggles. I'll probably buy these and send my original Focals for recall.
Im so glad they are making fpv goggles cheaper!!!! Thats the most expensive part of the hobby!!
Great flying & Great Channel!!!
👍😀👍
I think i am going to get good box goggles?? Im not shure yet!!!!!! Hope you have a good week Nick!
Hi Nick WOW I would love to try them out, I started with eachine EV-100 and then went to EV-800D and used them for a year and now I have a nice Aomway commander v1 and I like them but the F.O.V is just a little small if they are one click in I loses the screens and I am going to get a new set but I don't know what I want. I thought I would get Fatshark for I could get a receiver that I like. Thanks for the information on the SKYZONE 02X.
i got the skyzone 02cs and i gotta say coming from box goggles i love them.
oh yea, that's a big step up.
good video!
REALLY interested in these goggles but I fly alone, I dont have the opportunity to try them out. I currently have commander v1's and love them, but I have to run the stock foam cause I have a smaller face, that being said how would you compare these to the aomway commander v1's with stock foam.
The commanders didn't fit me very well at all. I believe, due to my large head, they pinched my head. This are much more comfortable. I did run the slimmer foam and felt a bit on my nose, but as in the video I go over that pretty quick. So these don't fit like the commanders, which sounds like the fit that works best for you.
glad you stated no matter what you do you gotta try goggles .. great great review as always
Yes, there is no substitute for putting them on our face. I know my first goggles were box goggles, and just had to make them work. The more we spend the more important the fit is.
Can you compare these to the Eachine EV200D , they seem very close in terms of pricing , seem like direct competitors, and knowing that you're not really a comparison channel but I'd love to see that , thanks
I can see about getting a set.
@@NickBurnsFPV That would be awesome
Those are nice but I'm spoiled by Rapidfire and i also wanna try the TBS Fuzion when it comes out.
yea, its hard going back. We shall see what fatshark has coming soon. I wonder if TBS has some testing videos out yet. Seemed a few items on the product description are alpha still?
@@NickBurnsFPV I really hope Fatsharks HD system is good. That's the only reason I haven't picked up the DJI system. Are you going to review the Dji stuff?
I don't suspect I will review the dji stuff, doing only micros makes carrying the additional weight and size of the dji system a big challenge.
Ive been flying skyzones since i started this hobby and to me the screens are better than just about every fatshark other than the HDO... in all honesty i willi probably get the new sky03 OLED's instead of the HDO's when i upgrade and if i reaaally think i need rapid fire il get a Dock-king but so far in practical uses my goggles have never been what holds me back in any enviroment
Good information. Thank you for sharing. I am excited to see what skyzone 03 are like.
Nick will you also review the new Skyzone oled goggles?
I do believe I will. I have been told they are on the way.
I think the receiver in my cheap box goggles I’ve had for a year is going out. With all the options out there I’ve been looking at these pretty hard. Thanks for the review.
you bet. I didn't say it in the video, but the difference between $300 and $700 googles isn't 2x or more. Closer to more like .5 or .75. If I didn't make videos I am pretty sure I would be very happy with $300 goggles.
My box goggles have worked well enough. They don’t have diversity or dvr so even if I wasn’t noticing my range decreasing pretty rapidly I still think it’s time I upgrade. If money was no object I’m sure I’d have a different choice but these skyzones seem to have everything I’m looking for and with a good price point at that.
price is a big player in the choice.
I agree. I’m a disabled vet on a fixed income so seeing goggles that cost twice this makes me flinch
Hi Nick! Recommended antennas for this goggles ?
I like the lumineer axii antennas. There are a lot of antenna, the difference in most at a similar price point is going to be minimal. Antenna tech hasn't made dramatic improvements in about a year.
Would you switch from your hdo? Fatshark also has auto recording
I don't think I would switch based on the fov. I likely would have it I were using my HD3 googles.
What quadcoper are you using here ??
two different quads. The first is the chopstick csx from tomoquads.com and other this the happymodel sailfly x
can I use 1300mah 4s 120c lipo for power this goggles??
yes, product specs list 2s-6s battery compatible.
thanks😍
I know you hate 16x9 but did you try a 16x9 camera with the 16x9 goggles so you can try it without black bars?
I didn't try it with a native 16x9 cam. Stock the goggles come 16x9, it also has 4:3, which I changed at while confirming the goggles work at the desk.
@@NickBurnsFPV I would love to see you do a review of the eachine EV200D goggles.
I have requested a set, no word yet.
Wish someone would make some 50degree fov googles hd2 style. I know the scout has that kinda fov but those are more box google style
I thought the HD2 had a pretty wide fov, like 40? FS goggles have decreased the fov since those, and I have no idea why. I guess using new tech and cost.
Nick Burns yeah I believe they were closer to 50 degree. I know mr Steele thinks that’s the perfect size for freestyle. Your probably right about the cost. Also I remember hearing a lot of complaints about blurry edges with that large fov, so i guess the easy fix is no longer make them lol.
sad but true. Maybe Fatshark will bring it back. Isn't it about time for FatShark to release a new top tier goggle?
nice
Hypothetically, what goggles would you recommend for an individual whose eyes were at the ends of long stalks protruding from his head? Totally hypothetical.
lol, depends on the length of the "stalks"....box goggles! wouldn't want those protruding eye balls touching the screen, getting all gunked up.
Mom's calling, dinner is ready.
Skrt
Skirt?
@@NickBurnsFPV skrt
hmm. I googled the term, but I don't understand. Maybe I am to old or not hip :(
I’m not sure how $270 is considered “budget”
