    Used suboxone for 16 years. Crushing and snorting everyday for the entire ride with no other drug use at all. I just bought them off the street and snorted them. I tapered down myself to about 1.5mg a day before jumping off for the withdrawal ride on 25 February 2024. 56 days in and I will never go back. The first 10 days were tough - restless legs, insomnia, cold sweats, irritation, anxiety…all the good stuff. It wasn’t nice but it starts getting better bit by bit as you get to the end of week 2. I lost count of the hot baths I took just to try and get relief from the Rls, forcing myself to eat something and avoiding caffeine which exacerbated my RLS. Moving into week 3 I started getting a decent 5 or 6 hours a night and I feel much better…managing work the entire time. I’m at the stage where I’ve stopped counting the days and I know I don’t want to do the withdrawal again so it’s all gravy. If I can do it after 16 years to snorting then so can anyone…keep at it and grind away. Good luck! You deserve to be free and I am rooting for each and every single one of you.

    I’ve just recently switched to sublocade from Subs. I started at 3-8mgs a day for the last 9years an 9months. Look around and see if you can find the sublocade shot near you. I’m excited because my understanding is there is no to very very little withdrawal! I’m almost through the first month of my 300mg dose in about 8days I get the next 300mg dose and then maybe 1-100mg after that and hope to be done!!!

    I came off of 2mg a day about 15 years ago. Took about a month for the entire process to complete. I'm grateful I was on such a comparatively small dose at the time. The worse of it felt like I was carrying a midget on my back who was constantly trying to strangle me.
    Since then I was on Methadone for about 8 years with a successful taper ultimately from 110mgs in July of 2020. Fast forward to October of 2023 I had Double Bypass Heart Surgery which ultimately led me to going back on Suboxone in November. Now I'm on 16mgs of Suboxone currently. Looking forward to going on a weekly shot to help ease the process of tapering.

    Im on day 14, I was using 24mg a day and quit cold turkey cause im sick of dealing with getting them from a "special" clinic. Im going threw some insane rage issues and don't know how to deal with it.

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Day 14. That is amazing!!! It’s all most over as far as the acute symptoms go but I know it definitely does not feel that way. it Was insane rage for me too. I verbally argued. I was uncontrollably screaming about everything in life that made me suffer and pissed me off. I was up moving furniture at 3am. One night I just spent the whole night pacing around the house at maximum rage. I literally was awake over three days straight. It wore itself out around day 17 for me. By day 21 everything really calmed down. But….Sometimes I feel like fighting acute withdrawal rage was easier than dealing with the after math but I know that is not true. You are in a tough spot. Stay strong. Stay distracted. I felt like I was dying but did a break job anyway then cleaned the gutters out. I felt insane at that time. Soon everything calms down it feels better but then a new set of issues arise. Focus on diet and exercise. Neither will feel good in the moment but they will make you feel better faster. Ty for sharing your story. You are not alone. And what you are doing is totally worth it without a doubt!!!!!

      @@MaggieBrennan-po5zl honestly I was five days off of Percocet when I was handed my first sub and I wish I never took it. Percocet withdrawal was way worse but ended quickly. Sub withdrawal drags out forever in comparison. The longer you stay on the worse it is. I was on them for like 8 years total. The withdrawal took forever. But the acute withdrawal period was less traumatic than Percocets.

      I am sure you are no coward. And yes I am well read despite my poor grammar. lol Thank you for taking the time to comment here. It means a lot to me as I truly appreciate your support! If you are able to continue a reasonably patient taper it should be a lot less dramatic than my 8mg jump off stories. Those who taper slowly say they have little to no symptoms. Distraction is key to ease the physical and mental symptoms. I think you will find peace once you get through the first hump. Everything gets better. It was the best decision I've made in a very long time. My anxiety is much much lower knowing I am free from the bondage of addiction. Also side note.... Keep an eye on those teeth because suboxone ruined mine. I already paid to fix them but people are suing over it.

      @@user-ep6nj7tn3p Hello! Welcome back and ty for the update! My advice…. Be patient take your time and never give up. I tried to taper from 16mg and failed to go all the way. I was on 8mg for two years following that. After that I eventually made it to 4mg after trying to go to zero multiple times. I stayed at 4mg for a couple more years after before jumping off. It takes time. Settle in at your lower dose for a while before trying to go further. I imagine that in your case things will move slower because the medicine has to be burned off by the body so I am sure without doing physical labor that it may take more time.l and patience.

    Get a load of this. I just had a hip replacement surgery. I went off subs for 72 hours prior, using 7.5 mg. Oxycodone every 6 hours to get by. Did fine. Had surgery. Was given 15 mg. Oxycodone every 3 hours for pain, did okay, went home with script for 15 mg every 4 hours. By the time it was 7 days without subs, I was literally in borderline withdrawal even while taking that much Oxycodone. 90 mg a day. I was chilly. I finally started taking my Suboxone again. I was completely immune to the Oxycodone.

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Crazy. Ty for sharing! There are people that try saying go back on oxy or perks for a month to get off subs because the withdrawals are easier. I have always believed that is a terrible idea. This kind of proves that it’s not a good idea. Suboxone is actually stronger than most opiates. We have been fed lies about it. It was easier for me to withdrawal from 100mg daily Percocet habit than withdrawal from 16mg Suboxone. The perk withdrawal was more painful but way shorter..(like 5 days). The sub withdrawal is more mild but it drags out so long that it is impossible for me to deal with it without a major life disruption.

    • @mkp3824
      @mkp3824 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @TruthLivesHere it really opened my eyes. 5 years ago, I had a hip replacement. But at that time, I was only on 8 mg sub a day. I thought that after going almost 4 weeks without them, being on oxycodone, I could've gotten off if I had tried. Maybe at that dose, going to oxycodone to get off made sense, but not this time. I was taking the oxycodone every 4 hours, even more, and still, I stayed in low-grade withdrawal. Luckily, that started after I got out of the hospital. I always believed that being off the pills, etc, my tolerance would go down. Nope. As long as you have subs, you're fine. Just never run out.

    I need to get off sub. They make me so sick. I don’t know how to do it. I can’t even go one day for some reason. I looked into the vitamin c method but I can’t tell if it’s fake.

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did try the high dose of vitamin c . I believe it can help because of what I read but when I tried it, I ate two cans of pineapple also that week and my system went highly acidic and it was a not fun. I’m actually scared of pineapple now.😂. But vitamin c can help. I did continue them for a while during both my major withdrawals. Vitamin B can help too. Subs never actually made me feel good. If they are making you sick definitely lower the dose slowly. They will make you puke if your body can’t metabolize the dose quickly enough. The less physical activity you do … the less the dose that is needed. Generally. And the American dose is ten times the uk 🇬🇧 dose. So lower doses are better. And definitely try to taper off the amount per dose. Skipping days can be hard. Skipping dose is good once you can’t cut the dose amount any smaller. The daily dose cycle can be hard to break if you can’t set up a time to withdrawal. There will come a time when you have truly have had enough of them and are ready to feel sick without them instead of with them. Keep trying to fight it. It literally took me years and multiple tries to get it. As I mention in my other vids and comments diet is huge. I was brought up poor with poor eating habits and it really affected how my body handled withdrawal. Eating healthy needs to be the habit that replaces the sub habit.

      @TruthLivesHere  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Heck ya! You got this! The slower the taper the better also. The first time I tried to quit I only went from 16 to 8. Then the second time I tried a year later I went to 2. I was between 2n3 when I went the rest of the way. I was forced to jump from there. If you can taper lower it’s definitely the way. Years ago there were days I would cut them with an exacto knife and leave them to dry on a plate before eating them. I could make one last all week. The taper tricks your mind into thinking it got a fix for the day.

      Yes, it ruins teeth too. People are suing over that. It took my gut the whole year to get better. Diet and exercise is key to get the gut back in shape. The insurance company limits how long you can have it covered because it’s known to attack cartilage. I think the nerve damage was amplified for me because I have blood sugar and circulation issues.
