      @@mattbortz10 Ty for sharing! The timeline video is definitely referring to acute physical withdrawal. I think some people fail to make the distinction between acute and prolonged. Ty for bringing that up because I didn’t word it correctly in my unscripted video. The road to recovery is long and it does take months to balance out life following the acute withdrawal period. I think everyone has a different journey because we all have different starting points. Congratulations!!!!!! I am currently one year and eight months off them after 8’yrs. Congratulations! I quit chronic Marijuana use many years ago. Probably around 2005. If you smoke every day, you'll have extreme anxiety going without. Bad temper, etc. You're much better off without it. I used it for sleep, and as you know, that wears off. Every time I've smoked weed since, I'm always like, "Why did I just do that?' It just makes me tired, hungry, and lazy. You should be okay without it. Hang in there, don't give up.

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recommend taking the taper at your own pace. It depends on how fast you want to go or how determined you are to quit or how much suffering you want to go through. People taper with little or no symptoms but it can take years to taper that way. I’d say Cut it in half and then in half again when you feel comfortable. 12mgs are strips right? So that is good because it is easier to cut them up. My best tapers were when I would jump off till I couldn’t take it anymore and then I would cut my strip into 8 pieces and leave them on a plate in the cabinet and eat one a day when stuff was getting hard. It worked well but it was hard. Just a tiny dose goes along way to ease symptoms because the recommended dose in the united states is ten times then recommended dose in the uk. I think we take way too much. Taking small amounts is better than jumping all the way off.

    • @dau1024
      @dau1024 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can taper from 12 mg a day down to 4 pretty painlessly. I would say reduce by 2 mg a week until you get down to 4 and then go down 0.5 mg/week from there. Till you get to 0.5 mg/day then go down 0.1 mg a week. The easiest way to dose it is to dissolve the strip in a small container of liquid and dose it by squirting the liquid under the tongue. You can dose very accurately this way down to a tenth of a milligram

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere หลายเดือนก่อน

      Day 14. That is amazing!!! It’s all most over as far as the acute symptoms go but I know it definitely does not feel that way. it Was insane rage for me too. I verbally argued. I was uncontrollably screaming about everything in life that made me suffer and pissed me off. I was up moving furniture at 3am. One night I just spent the whole night pacing around the house at maximum rage. I literally was awake over three days straight. It wore itself out around day 17 for me. By day 21 everything really calmed down. But….Sometimes I feel like fighting acute withdrawal rage was easier than dealing with the after math but I know that is not true. You are in a tough spot. Stay strong. Stay distracted. I felt like I was dying but did a break job anyway then cleaned the gutters out. I felt insane at that time. Soon everything calms down it feels better but then a new set of issues arise. Focus on diet and exercise. Neither will feel good in the moment but they will make you feel better faster. Ty for sharing your story. You are not alone. And what you are doing is totally worth it without a doubt!!!!!

      @@MaggieBrennan-po5zl honestly I was five days off of Percocet when I was handed my first sub and I wish I never took it. Percocet withdrawal was way worse but ended quickly. Sub withdrawal drags out forever in comparison. The longer you stay on the worse it is. I was on them for like 8 years total. The withdrawal took forever. But the acute withdrawal period was less traumatic than Percocets.

    Get a load of this. I just had a hip replacement surgery. I went off subs for 72 hours prior, using 7.5 mg. Oxycodone every 6 hours to get by. Did fine. Had surgery. Was given 15 mg. Oxycodone every 3 hours for pain, did okay, went home with script for 15 mg every 4 hours. By the time it was 7 days without subs, I was literally in borderline withdrawal even while taking that much Oxycodone. 90 mg a day. I was chilly. I finally started taking my Suboxone again. I was completely immune to the Oxycodone.

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere หลายเดือนก่อน

      Crazy. Ty for sharing! There are people that try saying go back on oxy or perks for a month to get off subs because the withdrawals are easier. I have always believed that is a terrible idea. This kind of proves that it’s not a good idea. Suboxone is actually stronger than most opiates. We have been fed lies about it. It was easier for me to withdrawal from 100mg daily Percocet habit than withdrawal from 16mg Suboxone. The perk withdrawal was more painful but way shorter..(like 5 days). The sub withdrawal is more mild but it drags out so long that it is impossible for me to deal with it without a major life disruption.

    • @mkp3824

      @TruthLivesHere it really opened my eyes. 5 years ago, I had a hip replacement. But at that time, I was only on 8 mg sub a day. I thought that after going almost 4 weeks without them, being on oxycodone, I could've gotten off if I had tried. Maybe at that dose, going to oxycodone to get off made sense, but not this time. I was taking the oxycodone every 4 hours, even more, and still, I stayed in low-grade withdrawal. Luckily, that started after I got out of the hospital. I always believed that being off the pills, etc, my tolerance would go down. Nope. As long as you have subs, you're fine. Just never run out.

I'm not sure if being gay has anything to do with being Trans but I just lost my best bud of over 50 years. In 1968 we became friends as we both felt, as you said, different. He was gay. We went to FIT, in Manhattan together, an art college. I talked with him more than my husband. He, too, tried to be what society said he should be and became suicidal. He drank himself to death last year at 67. I always thought he was born that way and vehemently protected him but he strongly believed there was both a genetic and environmental component. Oh my. 40 grand for a lawyer? Wow. Those private creditors can be unrelenting. I owed $2600 when my first career ended. Computers wiped it out. Went back to college, became an RN, and the tax man took my paychecks for a few months. They ended up taking over 9 grand on that debt when I could have made an offer in compromise while in college and struggling. The rich do all the time. They will owe over 100 grand and pay less than 25 back, with an offer. I feel ya!

    Restless legs? Do you mean horrible cramping?

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cramping was bad and restless legs is this weird feeling you get in the hips and thighs. It’s very uncomfortable. It comes from not moving around enough.

    Well, I'm hoping if I taper down.I will have no withdrawal effects at all from what I've read online. And I mean taper all the way down two point five milligrams

    • @TruthLivesHere
      @TruthLivesHere 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Heck ya! You got this! The slower the taper the better also. The first time I tried to quit I only went from 16 to 8. Then the second time I tried a year later I went to 2. I was between 2n3 when I went the rest of the way. I was forced to jump from there. If you can taper lower it’s definitely the way. Years ago there were days I would cut them with an exacto knife and leave them to dry on a plate before eating them. I could make one last all week. The taper tricks your mind into thinking it got a fix for the day.

I would have never thought this from the vids i watched. But bless your heart honey!! You are brave. Im not crazy about young people under 25 transitioning but i am supportive of people being who they are. Im sorry for any pain youve been through and maybe this is the reason for some of your addiction. Idk yet though. I shouldn’t assume. Respect friend!
