I jumped from about 1.5 mg on Sunday 25 February 2024. Today I felt able to have a shave, walk to the shops and visit my parents. Sleep is rough but I’m getting clean

Man love the video I jumped off at 4mg 6 days ago! after taking it 4 1/2 years! How long did you have to deal with the diarrhea, mild fever ? If you had both I’ve been drinking lots of fluids. Just ready to be over the worst I have went to wallmart today but man feel like I’ve been power lifting just tired! I took off for the one week but honestly not sure I can go start a inside house painting job like this! But I’m on Vyvance for adhd now and I’ve been taking clodine 0.1mg for withdrawal’s but hope after going threw 6 days I’m almost over the bad crap! From the second day without subs I smelled good it was very weird smell also all my wife’s cleaning supply’s have been really strong!

I'm 16 days off Subs. I agree with this guy showers help. Taking one in the morning and one after work. The one after work helps me fall asleep!! Let's face it I was an addict for more years than I like to admit but it was time to finally get off subs. I didn't take time off from work and my work is labor intensive. I want to remember this feeling I've had. I also did t know that sub withdraws last as long as they do. Any rate I'm starting to feel better now not 100% by any means but definitely feeling better than the first week and a half. Anyone wanting to get off subs you can do it. Its do able just remember what it felt like to deter you from going back know what it will be like when you come to your senses and get clean again. Just my two bits hope it might help someone!!!

Just watched your video on Suboxone withdrawal I’m currently tapering off was on 16mg now down to 6mg a day. Believe it or not already having symptoms anxiety and legs feel like logs. I’m going to try to get down to about a 1.5mg a day for about a month then make the jump and if I still have severe withdrawal I know how I am right back on it. This is some scary stuff for me. I have never done any other hard drugs, nothing!!!! Maybe a pain pill 25 years ago. This is just starting to freak me out. Well thanks for your advice.

I wish more people posted their experience with this. It’s so much more common than people think…..looking at me-nobody would ever in a million years think I was on suboxone because of a heroin/opiate addiction. But here I am. Thank you for posting this. I am contemplating starting a vlog while I taper…. But I’m worried about my job/losing my job or being judged by colleagues or something. It’s unfortunate that’s the stigma.

I was prescribed 16mg per day (2 strips) I decided 11-1-21 to start tapering down and then to 1mg a day for the past month, i made that 1 month prescription last until 2 days ago 7-25-22, this is day 2 no suboxone I am going thru the motions now but have zero desire to fail. 1 year of suboxone isn't a long time so I would just do it. I faced almost a year's worth of withdrawal after 20 years of being on suboxone. Just the acute withdrawal phase alone lasted over 60 days. 1 year should be relatively easy compared to 20 years so I would reccomend you do it before the problem becomes more more complicated. The idea of long term " maintenance " is a preposterous and dangerous idea and it shouldn't be allowed.

I was forced to taper when my doctor shut down his practice. I waited too long to get a appointment with new doctor. Been on 16mg for 10 years. Started the taper when I had 7 strips left. Made them last a month. Once I ran out, it was bad. Worse then Dilaudid Imo. However, Kratom has been a lifesaver. I’m not even taking enough to fully get rid of my symptoms. Just barely enough so I can sometimes sleep. I really hate the Kratom feeling too, just using it for 10 days then I’ll quickly taper off!

*Long read, if you took the time thank you.*
I’m struggling like a motherf. My problem, I’m 25 now and truth is i was never on any other addiction before sub, I was just 18 and in the middle of that stupid late teenage stupidity you know, doing this and doing that without a care whatever comes your way first time or not. Someone told me “have you tried suboxone? I have a handful of them right now I’ll toss you one let me know if you like it” so I did and I loved it. I loved how long it lasted, I loved every bit of the feeling and loved feeling it the next day etc. only drug I ever “loved” like that I guess. So for around 2 years I just kept buying them from dude and took a solid year before I even realized what I’ve done because for the first time something happened with him and I went without for a few weeks and of course after just a few days I felt that next feeling I never experienced before being dt’s and it fucked me up, took me days to learn what it even was and that’s when I started smoking sadly. I don’t know why I just wasn’t smart about it at all either, after those few weeks he bounced back in a txt and I immediately celebrated and bounced over, back in that cycle for another year experiencing more withdrawal here and there. Then he got jailed and was gone, I panicked and someone suggested me the clinic where I’d save money and get more anyway (I never had “good” people in my life obviously.), sooo, yeah. Been going to this stupid clinic for about 4-5 years now. Around 2 or so years ago is when I started realizing the difference in myself now and who I used to be before, which was already a major negative difference by then of course. I’d say for about a year now I’ve really, really wanted it. I want sobriety, I haven’t even been sober since I’ve become an adult and I’m 25 now. I’ve been to rehab twice since, and I just can’t handle the withdraws. I just absolutely lose my mind. Never have I ever seen or heard someone take sub withdrawals like I do, I only do a qtr to a half per day but it only takes me like 12 hours to start hitting me to the point where I can’t sleep or hardly do anything. After 1-2 days is when I start to lose my shit, I lost my shit in rehab both times just days after and one of them even kicked me out. They even warned me that they were about to and I remember trying with my all but I couldn’t go a couple or few hrs without freaking out again. It’s so hard to explain. But I can’t handle that mental experience I end up I’m, aside the physical. At the same I don’t have anything in my life to lean on, no woman or family, not one friend or even one person to talk to, my mom was my only person but she passed earlier last year and I almost haven’t talked to anyone since. Haven’t had a clue what to do with my life to this day, nothing. I don’t even play video games for a passion or anything. My life is just at the complete bottom of the trash can if that makes sense. Not even trash to lean on. It’s not looking good for me at all… I can’t figure out where to begin. I’ve known for a while that there’s not one chance that a woman will connect with someone like me just as the truth. I just have no literal clue what to do now. Been in this cycle for nearly a year now…

Methadone was the longest hardest WD of ever went through. I did a 21 day slide to get off and it took a full 6 months before I felt normal. Then 3 years ago I got on oxy and then kratom to get off that and then the kratom WD was intense and once again lasted forever. I started doing oxy and kratom and just was spiraling . Finally got on subs which I know I know trading one for the other but I’ve only taken most 2mg a day or every other day and am soon going to taper from there but first I just need the stability I am feeling right now.

@@pigeonsil240sx I was on 60mg for roughly 6 months. The counselor there told me once when I didn’t have the money for that week that if I could find money for dope I could find it for the clinic. This pissed me off so bad I was like fuck this and fuck you. Lo and behold a few weeks later I walk in and there is a new person there. I asked where the other guy was and was told he ODed and died a week ago…. I told this new person I want off and she said I had to be on at least a year before they would consider it and I said no I want off so I did the 21 day slide.
It was absolute torture. It took me 4 months before I started to feel out of the woods, 6 months before I could sleep a normal night. It’s been 15 years but I’d say between 4-6 months to feel ‘almost normal’ and 6-12 months to really feel like myself again.

I'm 20 days in my sub detox. This is my 3rd time. In order, the 1st 2 times were the worst. 1st I took my subs and still did perks and opana 40s. The detox was a month and a half long convulsion fest before I got back on subs. Next time I was on them for about 3 years. Tapered to 0.12 mgs a day. The detox, or withdrawl was 90 days of sweaty hell. To the day, then the swets stopped and that brain fog went away. This time, I was on the subs because I found kratom.. that destroyed my will to stay sober. Subs and the insanity they come with were better then old demons that made me ruthless.. but this time around, 2mgs was my quit. On day 20, I only swet for about a minuet. That's usually my kryptonite. That and restlessness. The restlessness is still here, but if I smoke I can completely ignore it and sleep. Brain fog sends to be the worst of it now. But im mostly comfortable. Even getting strep at the start of my second week helped. Yes, it made me feel worse. But it was a break from feeling the detox. This one went better so far then any of them. I feel it on my bones when I know relapse is inevitable. This time, I know im done fucking up my life. Subs can be a God send if used right. DONT STAY ON IT FOR YEARS. 6 MONTHS IS THE PERFECT TIMELINE FOR EFFICIENCY.

3 weeks my ass. I've been on Suboxone for 10 years & I tapered down from 24mg to 2mg & jumped off. I lasted 2.5 _months_ & gave in & took the stash I had stockpiled up. After 2.5 months, it still took _everything_ out of me to move out of the recliner. I didn't care if I drank coffee or not let alone eat something.
