I started 8mg two years ago, eventually jumped all the way to 2mg after a year, 6 months in would self-taper half a 2mg tab so 1 mg, 3 months in did .5mg, in the last month and a half i literally take the teeny tiniest piece that i barely rip off with my fingers and now im on day 5 of WD and yeah days 1-3 were toughhhh especially day 1 and 2, but i feel way better already! it's a mind thing too, keep telling yourself to tough it out and roll w the punches and literalllyyyy distract yourself every waking moment with ANYTHING. Wishing you all recovery and fulfilling lives!!

I was on 4mg. For 4yrs. I cut it into 4 quarters and took a quarter every 2 to 3 hours. Once I started tapering off. I cut the quarters in half. Kept cutting tiny slivers until my last five 4mg. was gone. Withdrawal was very manageable. Except for the intense diarrhea 💦💩😁✌️

@smokingwithswflspargo239 Go for it its two months now since I came off and sticking with it I'm sure that's my last ever detox of my life now feeling fairly normal 😉. It does drag on a bit for 2 weeks to be honest and I did give in and take tramadol for a few days that's just prolonged it I think. I wasn't really tip top for a month I went back to work after two weeks and lumped it. In two months iv put a load of weight on as less active and comfort eating I guess it's been a longer process this time but it might be my age at 50. Best of luck crack on and be free

That’s helpful to know, I’ve got Down to 0.6mg , down from 0.8mg a week ago, was shocked at how uncomfortable it’s been this week. I did try some co-codamol, , to help with aches knees, but didn’t feel much apart from really lethargic. My drug worker wants me to drop 0.2 mg every two weeks, I think this is unrealistic, what’s your view. I hope you are now completely clear of the damn stuff, and feel good. I’ve come down from 24mg two years ago, I was a full blown heroin addict for 12 years, and two week detoxing in hospital never worked coz I felt so bad, so was hoping slow reduction better, but this last bit is really hurting, Simon from England, any tips, or drugs I can take to relieve symptoms, of you’re experience would be helpful to know, regards, from an achey Simon

Then finish the rest of the withdrawl. I quit at 1mg once and slept maybe 7 hours in a 10 day period. And couldnt stand it, so started back again. The lack of sleep and back pain was just too much

This exactly where I am at and this is exactly what I needed to hear. I'm at 1 mg and about to break that in half. I had some withdrawal going from 2 to 1 mg but it only lasted a day or so and it was purely physical. Mentally I was fine. I've loaded up on amino acids, vitamins and some other suppliments. I feel that I will be able to get down and off in about 3 to 4 weeks or so I hope. My will is strong and I've just completely had it and am done with Suboxone and opiates all together. Mega dosing sodium ascorbate helped me taper down the last few weeks.
I was on methadone for 10 years prior but mostly at a low dose as low as 10 MG's. Switch to Suboxone 2 years ago to get off completely. Went from 8 MG's down to 1 mg. Almost there. Also on Vyvanse. Almost off that too. Looking to nootropics after to keep me good and far away from trouble along with the good diet, working out and moving forward!

I originally was taking three vikes two or three times a day in my worst pill days, I mean they were a lot cheaper back then so you could get three for the price of one but I finally got help and it took like 6 years. They started me off at like 4 mg twice a day then it made me kind of sick so I did three and a half milligrams twice a day. I tried to cold turkey off like 4 mg a day and that s*** was miserable I knew how strong this s*** was when I had such a small piece and it made me feel better. Well last time I tried to quit was off like one or one and a half milligrams a day well this time I was taking a certain amount like a half milligram twice a day and then I cut it down to one time a day, then I have to cut that in half because I was down to my last trip. The thing is I quit going to the doctor because they wouldn't take insurance so I had to pay cash and it's like why would I pay somebody $100 and then pay top dollar for the medicine when I could actually pay a friend like 12 bucks for a 8 mg strip. They were only giving me like 12 mg a month at that point and I'm like okay I can pay 24 bucks and be covered for the next month and a half or two months. So it made no sense. Well my sources ran out and yes I was weaning down so I was making progress but now I had to wean down like because it was my last one. I got down to like .25 mg and that was my last dose

Talk to your doctor. I normally have my patients (once they taper the dose low enough) to spread out their doses based on time. Example: dose every 24 hrs to every 28hrs, then after several days or weeks every 36 hrs, then after several days/weeks, every 48 hrs, etc. etc. etc. Eventually the drop off point will become clear. But talk to your doc first before making changes.

I don’t sleep all night now.. but wake up aground 2:30 and fall back asleep after fighting restless legs! But this is day 5 without! I’ve been on it 5 years I went and got a pee test and it’s still showing Suboxone in my urine! I thought it was gone! I feel so bad now can I still have have a positive pee test and be almost over the worst part of the Suboxone withdrawal? My liver levels are good , my weight is alittle over doc says lose weight! I’m at 215lbs any help would be appreciated!

@@jennymyers4144 not sure if you were talking to me but if so it’s going great. All my symptoms have basically went away. I found me working and not just sitting at home thinking about it was key for me .. I feel 80% better! My sleep is getting back to normal. It’s just getting past that first month for me was rough. It seem like it was never going to go away, but it does get better. I never knew how Suboxone had changed me until I got off. I feel emotions again and I’m connected and want to do stuff with my family! It’s like Suboxone had me doing stuff the same day, and I was in a fog..

damn i cant get past the .5 mg a day. idk i cant past that dose. im starting to think ill be on it forever. cuz i just cant function if i dont have some opiate in my body. i mean i guess i could do it. but i know for a fact no matter how low and long i taper when i get to zero mg it will be atleast a straight 6 month depression and void feeling. i cant deal with 6 month of that

When my patients can’t get lower than a certain dose, I will often have them taper by extending the time instead of lowering the amount. Example: 0.5 mg every 25 hrs instead of every 24. Then after 1-2wks push back to every 26 hrs, etc, etc. Just a thought. Talk to your doctor ✌🏻

@@dr.chrispark I got a complete blood count done with her. And It was sapose to give me my thryroid function and hormone levels checked. But she said that she only checked the electrolytes and liver and kidney. She wasn’t able to tell me about my thyroid or hormone levels. That was the main two reasons I got the test done for . She said that she doesn’t have anything to do with hormones that I would have to go to hormone dr. I thought that was strange
