Brittany Bost You accepted subutex though. If used properly, subutex can save your life. And if you think getting clean from pills and shooting dope on your arm is the same as taking subutex or Suboxone, then you’re ignorant. I got my life and family back on subutex/Suboxone. A lot of people will be on it for the rest of their lives, and that is absolutely ok because it saved them. There’s no miracle drug, but if there’s something out there that’s going to make me stay off the street and not high on dope for days and my family hating me, then I’ll do it. If it saves them, then so be it. Everyone thinks everyone is the same and has to be completely a saint with no type of pill keeping them going just so they can be considered “clean”. And that’s wrong. If you abuse subutex, that is simply mental because all you’re trying to do is chase that high so maybe you’re jus not ready.

Hey y'all if anyone's still referring to this video for advice on sub withdrawal, just know that the experience is different for everyone. I honestly feel great and I'm on day 3 myself. I jumped off at a little less than .25 mg and I believe that was a huge part of my success thus far. Just hit the gym when you feel like you need some sub. Get a vitamin that increases endorphins naturally as well as a good B-complex vitamin. I still have the mental battle like most of us but just keep that shit out of your thoughts and replace it with an activity you love. Make yourself do as much cardio as you can. Lean on peeps for support and work with a good doc. I took .50 of a benzo for anxiety at night and that's helped too, but be careful with them. Only use them temporarily. I was fuckin terrified a month ago and now I'm kicking myself in the ass for not doing it sooner. I took subs for 9 years.... You got this guys!! 💓💪 Great vid brother!

He’s so right about withdrawal is mainly worse on the mental aspect. I got threw my first 80 hours by continuously putting positive thoughts in my head with all my negative energy. For instance, i kept having negative thoughts and I used those negative thoughts to think about how terrible it would be if I was in a cell rather than in a bed . I kept putting myself to short naps by constantly telling myself that it’s going to be okay, it will get better, it could of been worse, and that I am as comfortable as I possibly could be. This allowed to calm down my anxiety and allow me to sleep and deal with physical pains and finally get threw day 3. And yes even with the help of subs one I was in bed with withdrawal symptoms for 3 days. It just extremely cushioned the blow when it finally kicked in.

It’s amazing how the mind can create symptoms that aren’t there, most of the stories about methadone or suboxone being harder to come off is from people who didn’t taper slowly enough. There is no escape of some withdrawals but it can be manageable if you go slow , it’s not a race , exercise, drink lots water and nutrition

I was on 16mg for over a year and took about 9 months to wean off and the WD was a picnic compared to regular opiate medications-Slow, slow,SLOW! Why rush? at the end I was taking almost silly amounts that were crumbs but so what? I'm back on subutex I get from a pain clinic in fact the only opioid medication they prescribe is subutex. Besides being out of pain, I feel no different taking subutex then when I was off. Actually think it helped my mild depression.

    • @JaymesAudley

Yeah, there is definitely a physical aspect - especially noted, the heavier the opiate your coming off of. I quit methadone a year ago, and I simply cannot imagine a more intolerable senario. Currently I am getting off the suboxone. I dropped at 6mg, and used the imodium in higher doses to subdue WD which, I might add, it does very well. Imodium aka. loperamide, will douce WD entirely given the right dose, but beware - as most will tell you - its not for long term use. It builds up in your fat and once it reaches a critical level there, you will begin to get heart problems. But speaking of RLS - the RLS i experienced when coming off methadone was definitely not imagined, lol, and I laugh to think of it as such. Actually the RLS is a mild seizure, and they have even found seizure meds for epileptics to help with peoples RLS symptoms while WDing heavy opiates. \Neurontin comes to mind, although i could not convince my own DR. to prescribe it to me. But just a final note to all those who want to get off the methadone or any other opiate. there is a program in Northern Ontario -Elliot Lake - called the Oaks. They are the only program in Canada (ya, Im not sure if they take americans, but they just might, if they do your stay will have to be paid and not govt sponsored. As Canadian, if your poor, it will be covered under OHIP) its the only program of its kind in all Canada It is specifically a detox for opiate users. Its a three week stay, unlike most other detox centers who kick you out after like 5 days, thus making it ideal for those wanting to get off opiates, some of which can take a c ouple weeks or more. It is a medical detox, and suboxone therapy may be used in order to get someone off the methadone. Not alot of people know about it so I want to give them a plug.In this current time of opiate crisis, we need more and more centers like this one. I am stupified actually that the govt claims we are in a n opiate crisis, and yet you have but a single center appropriate to get off heavy opiates funded in all Canada. Just google the oaks in elliot lake if interested. they specialize in getting people off opiates especially the methadone.

Have you ever heard Tramadol? That med could drove away the pain. I can guarantee you 100% will works and give you high too. But be careful not to use it for too long. The withdrawal symptom for suboxone is mostly two weeks. I think you can use Tramadol for help. Remember just for two weeks use because it has heroin-like chemical in that med.

Tapering down to .5 mg every other day and being ready is 90 percent of the battle. If you can beat the mental obsession the physical discomfort from jumping at a low dose will be nothing. Multi vitamins, dlpa avoid caffeine of stimulates of any kind otherwise the anxiety and restlessness will worsen. If you want it ,its yours. It's just a question of how bad and what you are willing to do for it. Preparation is everything and with a proper taper there is little to no discomfort.. stay out of your head and goodluck!!!

I respect the hell out of you man. I’m pretty much the same age & build as you. But, I’ve been on suboxone for 6 years & I want to quit so bad. I started out getting 2 a day for 2 years but only ever took 1 & a half a day. I went down to 1 a day for 3 years. Then 3/4 a day for 6 moths. & lastly I’ve only been getting 15 strips a month (half a day) for about 8 months. But Iv been taking less than that a day about for 4 months. I tied to quit last week by stretching out my last 2 strips by making it last a week. But the 3rd day after having no subs left I couldn’t handle the symptoms & anxiety. I ended up going back to my doctor for another month supply to try & keep weening off.
You give me hope & confidence that I can do it. Going try what you said. Take as little as possible for a while for several months then try to stop again.

Hey man, thanks for sharing your story. It’s awesome to hear when someone successfully rids buprenorphine from their life. I have been on subutex for 6 years with one unsuccessful attempt to get off of it. I was able to taper down to .25 mg a day. The first day was fine. The first night was fine. The second day was fine. It was the second night that it started. I had such bad restless leg syndrome. I didn’t experience any other withdrawal symptoms that I would normally expect to get. I weined myself down to such a low dose that I didn’t have any physical withdrawal. The restless leg at night kept me up for a month straight until I went back to the doctor and got back on subutex. It’s a shame that I got as far as I did. Watching your video is inspiring me to give it another go. Hope you’re still doing alright man. Thanks for your video.

I believe this man. Been on suboxone for 11 years. The last 7 years or so I've been on a bit less that a 2mg strip a day. I take small peices of a strip 3 times a day. I noticed that when I'm busy and not thinking about it I don't remember to take a dose. Then as soon as I think about it I start feeling like I need to. I also suffer from anxiety very badly and have been trying to beat it naturally for a long time, don't want to take more drugs. Recently I started praying, I've never been really religious although I was brought up catholic in the 80s and 90s as a kid. I have noticed my anxiety is not as bad the next day when I pray the night before, so much in my brain tells me that is bullshit but nevertheless it's seemed to work. So I think I know what you mean by being spiritual vs being tied to religion. I want to get off of subs and I don't want to ever go back to using opiates. Just so scared of the journey fucking up my job and life.

Ahh man good for you! I was on suboxone 4 years, and have been on subutex the last 2 years(it's cheaper without insurance for generic subutex). Stopping heroin was the hardest thing I've ever done, but for some reason quitting the subutex scares me even more. I outgrew partying and other drug use that was recreational(rave drugs, etc)/borderline habitual(adderall/vyvanse). With all that stuff, and even the heroin actually, it was pretty easy once I'd made up my mind to let it go. But the suboxone was always there since the dope, it literally saved me and gave me back my life. I haven't been able to get myself under a 1/4 sub a day yet. I guess I need to just bite the bullet. Another issue is not being able to move for the foreseeable future and being surrounded by people taking it, so even if I managed to stop I would know where to get it easily. Congratulations tho man :) I hope I can say I left it behind some day soon too!!

      @keyboardwarrior1612 6 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm right there with you buddy ive done heroin and even fentanyl hardcore for a year. After that I've been on a quarter of sub a day for a few months. Use to do a half a day by nose because it hit harder but went down to quarter a day. Going to try to ween down to a 16th eventually and jump from there. If you can ween to a 8th and half for a week, then 8th for a week, then 16th for a week. After that a 16th every other day for two weeks and jump withdrawals should be minimal. I'm a smoker since I live in Colorado so the smoking will help with the minimal withdrawal left. Should take about 3 full months for our brains to go back to normal before we did sub. If you decide to stay on that's fine to because I'm unsure myself. Hope everything works out!

Taper down to .5 mg a day for how ever long it takes you to get ready to jump off. ( I was on .5 mg for 3-4 months)
But when I quit, I had basically 0 physical withdrawals. But I did have the intense, worst cravings I’ve ever had. But everyday the joneses got less and less. And after 8-9 days, I was doing OK. And after 2 weeks I was back to normal!
Good luck to anyone kicking a habit. I quit after 15 years of use, and did it with 70 8 mg strips still in my bag.
( it made it easier for me quitting with a stockpile to fallback on if things didn’t go as planned)
It feels damn good to not be a slave to a pill or a slither of a strip. 👍

But to a ton of us that got hurt military wise, civi work wise or an accident. We dont know what addict or withdrawals truly is. I had 0 experience with drugs until I got hurt. Most of us trusted our doctor and now were labeled as addicts or its our fault for listening. The nerve. Anyway, If someone had the balls to just lie and say I had a very bad case of the flu. That mental imprint alone on a subconscious level. I truly believe it wouldve worked and had saved me years to actually live instead of hitting the pause button. But then the ethics argument comes in. Yeah now they care about it all a sudden. kk enjoy man.

Suboxone withdrawal was the absolute worst thing ever and I’ve had four children, being a mom of a child who is 5 who needs me, it was literally so painful, my dr had me on a very high dose and it seriously was so hard. I’ve been thinking about this whole sub detox, taper, withdrawal.
This guy is 100% real about what needs to be done and his advice is on point. Suck it up, take some responsibility and go through whatever needs to happen to get clean. Be patient and stick to a plan. If it’s a slow taper to a very low dosage it WILL work. It’s gonna take as long as it needs to take for your body to get back to normal. If you exercise and eat right it will speed it up.
Don’t get me started on PAWS. I’m so sick and tired of hearing about this. People confuse every feeling you have after you stop taking it to PAWS. If you feel worthless get up and do something to make you feel productive. People confuse PAWS with real life. YOU have to do healthy things to create a healthy balance and feel good. You no longer take a chemical.
The withdrawals suck. It all sucks. Take control of your life and get through it and DONT ever go back.
I’ve been through this process. You don’t wake up one day feeling 100%. You work towards it. There isn’t a magic time or process that works for everyone. Stack the odds in your favor and exercise, eat right, water, vitamins and be gentle on yourself.
Good luck to all. Love you!

Long story short Suboxone withdrawal is 10x worse at least.

I'm ready to jump, but I just can't with my own willpower and my doctor doesn't care (he's a Suboxone doc so all he wants to do is give me more). BTW, I don't think I'm stable and I honestly never have been since starting on the Subs, they've just kept me constantly "high" as in opiate-fog type high since day 1.

Here's the truth, I can't tell you, doctor can't tell you, because we're all different, but you WILL clean out. I highly recommend seeing a specialist, don't tell me you can't there are ways to get insurance, and some free centers. I did it without any problems, IT WAS HARD, but I just layed in bed one week drinking Kratom, cold Turkey and it worked. I also had Xanax and Immodium, that formula, but you know little uncomfortable, then put the brakes on the Kratom and was fine. With Kratom you have to prepare it right for maximum efficacy. God bless you brother, pray also, it helps.

8yrs on subs, 2mg for 6months before jumping. Had insomnia day2- present (day8) and physical wd sucked for days2-5 and the physical wd symptoms did not stop until today, Which i do not even know how these videos came up i was watching stuff about time travel suddenly spiritual videos like people talking about how in near death they seen hell and people suffering and how intensely they suffered. And how it doesnt matter what you are on earth if you dont believe in jesus you will not go to heaven instead suffer horrible painful hopelessness for eternity. So i actually went to my window the sun shining on me and talked to god, i begged him to forgive me that i disowned him. And over n over these videos talked to me.Like actually hit chords with me and i always thought of these types of people as bullshit artists. I eventually came across a lady from my hometown preaching and talking about her drug abuse and how she practiced witchcraft and had a very bad childhood. Then my 5 yr old son comes into the house telling me he wants to take care of this dead bird down the street so it can go into heaven, and i have never talked to him about that, and i gave up on religion long ago. Anyway the gist of this is i definatly had a spiritual awakening today and it was very subtle but was real and relentless. I honestly believe if you need god or jesus, and you deep down ask for him, he will speak to you in time. As for my withdrawals today i went all day without being cold restless legs nothing but a lil back pain, hopefully no depression and anxiety and insomnia goes away but we will see. Also i forgot to add i looked up the preacher on facebook, i sent her a message idk why, and she responded back, said shes coming back to the hometown in ny tomorrow. She lives in NC. She wants to meet for coffee like 10 miles away. How crazy is that?

I know this was a year ago when you posted.. but I just wanted to share my testimony. I was on heroin for about a year.. this was my senior year of high school. At my graduation I was even dope sick. But anyways the summer of 2014 I made a decision that I was done being a shell of myself. I asked God to take away my withdrawals, even though I deserved every minute of my withdrawal from the sin I was committing, the next week I had no stomach pain, I wasn’t sweating, shitting or feel bad at all. I remember tanning and going to church and I was fine. But Being a sinful human on the 5th day my sister had me take a small dose of her suboxone. I have been on suboxone for the past 4 years. I am quitting now and I just want everyone to know that you can’t be lukewarm about it. It took me 4 years of kinda trying (always keeping on a low dose). I can make 1 strip last 1 week. But now I’m on such a low dose because i recently cut down to a crumb I can feel the symptoms but I honest don’t care which makes me a lot calmer about the whole thing. I’m doing this for myself as well as my future baby. I want a baby without suboxone. It’s a personally choice but if takes me not feeling the best for a couple months.. it’s well worth it.
    That’s all. God is great.
    Rebecca

  • @MarkRiley12

Well, IF you were even taking suboxone, you just explained that you for one, didn't take much of it to begin with, which tells me you probably wasn't ever a full blown addict who was addicted to taking large amounts of opiates and also probably wasn't an addict very long. And you then explained how you tapered yourself down to pretty much not taking anything at all with your whole 1mg, which is the exact process of how a suboxone program works for people who wasn't addicts very long and is the whole damn reason you didn't have much withdraw symptoms or any at all. For people who have been addicts of opiates for a long time and addicted to taking a lot of opiates daily, it's gonna take them using way higher doses to start with and possibly have to use it for the rest of their lives to keep them from ever possibly using again because of opiates changing the brains chemistry so dramatically and makes a person's chances of relapsing A LOT higher. And if they do happen to decide to come off of it, it's more than likely gonna take them a lot longer than you supposedly did to ween off. Also, if a person is taking suboxone and takes a high dose and they decide to quit, they're gonna have ALL KINDS of withdraws and it's definitely more than just mentally. You said in your other video you like to research a lot. Well I believe you sound like you're trying to pretend you're whatever you researched about and trying to act like you went through them and trying to give advice. I mean, coming from someone who was am addict of opiates (Oxycotin) for 11 years and has taken Suboxone for 7 years, I can see right through your bullshit.

Thanks a lot bro for all your help I know it's a Grace from our Lord and God that I found you I just left the doctor and I'm down from 16 mg to 8 mg and almost 1 year but I've only got 10 mg to make it 3 days for my refill and was starting to freak out a bit but you're helping me so much to realize that it's in my mind and that I've already got enough medication to make it I just needed a little will power and a brother I've not met face-to-face thank you and peace
