I still own my 2018 SEL Premium R-Line to this day with nearly 100,000miles, and I have no intentions of getting rid of it anytime soon! Truly a solid vehicle that will treat you well if you maintain it properly.
@4:30 If it had 5-passenger seating, federal regulations would classify the front-drive Tiguan as a car, making it subject to tougher fuel-economy targets. That's why they add the extra 2 seats to be classified as a truck same as the AWD Tiguan.
I subscribed for you! Thanks for the entertaining & informative reviews! I own a 2019 VW Tiguan SE FWD and although it’s not my dream car... like most people I’m on a budget. I’m a 35 year old guy with dogs and gear to haul and I travel halfway across country often and so I rather have a VW GTI but what I needed is a Tiguan so I have one! It’s been 15,600 miles of pleasure for me. Is it a race car ? No. I didn’t buy a race car but once turbo and torque kick-in I really have no issues in traffic issues. I would have already traded in the Tiguan if it was the dog that some say. But with that said I’d love VW yo return some horsepower in a couple years. I would buy another Tiguan. I drive the Audi E-Tron but Audi wanted their $79,000 and that exceeded my budget. Thanks gain!! I look forward to more content soon!
How is the car? Does it worth to buy? Please share your thoughts, I'm in the middle of making choice between CRV and Tiguan, CRV is the best, but I need 3rd row :)
So far I like it. It`s very spacious and I`m a big guy at 6.3 and 250 pounds. its comfortable and the gas mileage is ok. Currently getting about 29 mpg and I only have 2000 miles on it. I think I can get that to about 34 or so. It`s a simple car and I appreciate that. For a daily commuter I did not want fancy electronics and other stuff that`s doomed to brake. It`s fairly quick and I have no problems flowing with traffic. I still have the standard 17 inch rims on it and they work just fine; just look a little skinny. Once they are ready to go I will exchange them for the 19 inch OEM rims. That looks tons better. I got the 4 wheel drive even though I don`t think I`ll ever need it. The two wheel drive comes standard with a third row seating so you might be better off with that one. The one thing I dislike so far is the engine noise. It sounds like a small diesel power plant. That's a bit weird. Guess I will get used to it and it only happens under full load. I was thinking about getting the Atlas but the wife said it`s too big for her so I went with the Tiguan. I do not regret it. It`s a good little car. No acceleration monster but for the daily hike to and from work it`s perfect. And the dogs like it too. I have two Dobermans and they fit just fine. I would recommend it if that`s what you are looking for. And the 6 year, 72,000 mile warranty does not hurt either. I think I will do a three month review on it once I`m there.
You got that right, angry troll. That’s what its all about. Making a commission check with fools like you. Gosh, thats glorious, fools like you make me tons of money. Life is good.
I noticed some differences in that tiguan and mine, I am from Paraguay by the way, my 2018 highline tiguan has paddle shifters and my front pannel where you see your speed(I dont remeber the word in English...sorry) is not digital, there is only an small panel between the rpm and velocimeter that shows you the cars info or data. Aren´t all Volkswagen made in Puebla-Mexico for all America???? why do they make it different?
Thanks for this amazing video. I like the introduction and your sense of humor. Tiguan is an awesome car with lots of cool features. I definitely will consider it. Oh by the way, I did subscribe to your channel. Keep up the good work.
Not illegal, but it's just the market. Automatics sell so much more than manual transmissions (in US/Canada) that most automakers have just decided to not even offer them any more. It really effing sucks.
I'm not live in US, Maybe its not the best cars in US but, for me VW Tiguan is the best .. here people mostly buy a toyota boring car in my country .. 😄
RoY ParK it is slow in “Normal” mode. However, I am getting 26MPG combined in “Normal” mode. If you prefer spirited driving you can switch it to the “Sport” mode. Engine is noisy.
He was planning it but while he was driving it back to be tested it broke down and he had to pick up this Tiguan instead to do this test and I'm much happier for it. PS. I was kidding but in all seriousness All and any Land Rover product it will likely leave you on the side of some dark lonely road like they all did to me and you finally just decide to stop buying that English junk once and for all.
WTF? American Tiguan is 8 inches longer than European. I don't need your "family shit"! I need a "male SUV". Who is the hell decided to make it longer with the 3rd-row seats for American Customers?!
Here in the States many "manly men" like to rough it in the great outdoors from time to time, so the extra cargo room comes in handy and makes sense. Plus, "manly men" tend to eventually find a wonderful partner, settle down and raise a family. Hence the third row seats (if needed) come in very handy. So...size matters...after all..:) Steve
@@rosenthalstevek8869 Thanks, Steve. You really did some good points about the outdoor benefits of having extra space. I decided to purchase an SUV for the first time after a couple of sedans. Tiguan was just one of the options, this 8 inches with the third row did not impress and gave me more thoughts of the kind of boring "family" vehicle as for a young man. Besides, I was shocked that Europeans got something more relative to my criteria. Eventually, I just recently purchased the 2016 Cherokee 3.2L V6, 75TH Anniversary Edition. I am pretty happy with the horsepower and honestly said, Jeep also could be closely being associated with the offroad outdoor trips.
@@demidd1107 The Jeep brand really pioneered the full four wheel driving experience...at least here in the U.S. I always prefer to go with a 6 cylinder because you need the power on or off road and there's less wear and tear, over the long haul, vs. the 4 cylinder. I hope you enjoy your new ride for years to come..:) Steve

Excellent review and so entertaining :-)
Thanks! Greetings to all our viewers in Ireland..:) Steve
The only real competitor to brilliant Mazda CX-5
I LOVE the CX5, but it’s too small once you start to install rear facing car seats.

Great review. Thanks, Sting.

Best midsize suv
its illegal to drive in america manual gearbox ?
No,it's not.I own a VW.with manual transmission. the jeep is automatic but I wanted a manual.Dealer said they don't make it anymore.
VW will make forever manual transmission for cars, i ordered one last month highline, riline, 2.0 tdi, full options just without leather.

nah just too lazy to drive stick.
Damn.. you are one salesman! Subscribed!

They need a hybrid model Steve to compete with the CRV the Volkswagen Tiguan fuel economy is not class competitive
I've seen many ppl saying it feels so slow after they did test drives. I hope it's not that noticeable

Yeah
I own one and it’s fine
You guys never talk about"how it drives" !
It doesn’t come in a diesel right?. 😂
Only one option available in US - just that 2L Turbo. No GTI engine, either.
Down under in Australia, thank God we have the diesel version👏 😊
Love me some VOLKSWAGEN
A lot of wrong info in this! Love the Tiguan.
what were the Lies?? I own this exact model and Didnt catch the lies from his description???
Do a vw golf review if u can
Biased? Hmmm with VW logo on the breast? It’s the all space version and not the std.
made in??
Created in germany, build in mexico.
Isn't his just a van by another name?
3 inches wider than what? 2018 is same width as 2017 model.
Steven Perry That makes no sense.
😍😍😍
Dat sensors joke 11:25 LOL
Always a pleasure making our viewers smile! Thanks..:) Steve
It's a good car but I am poor man
Jewel of the Nile or Romancing the Stone. 😂
THIS GUY GOT PAID TO SAY THIS!!!!!!! i have the 2016 model.... and im ganna keep it. if you have a family get the ATLAS
Jonas Reno the Atlas is more expensive. That’s like saying, why get the atlas when you can get the Touareg.
Made in Mexico?
Of course the sound of the blinker is engineered. Haha. Funny American.
He tries to sell it a little bit too hard. Sounds biased AF!
That creepy dude you take a test drive with.

B

so many lies in this.........
Subscribing and the bell is Activated
Good sales pitch, horrible "review". Nothing on real world performance or different prices, etc.
This guys cool
Put a V6 and people would buy
Robert Frank people like me buy even with the 2.0 liter.
ToO little power. Lots of complaints about speed. 0-60 in 10 seconds. What a dog.
Well you can get a tune for it and that will raise the hp and torque numbers
nice
Says hi😂😂💔

Hobit
Where?! Where?! I've watched the whole video and didn't see any..:) Steve
It's ugly
I know personal preferences are a thing, but I really don't see how anyone could call this ugly. Boring maybe. Ugly, how?
It's too *boring* for me.
Its classy and elegant. But I guess not everyone appreciates that
For example, I'm not a big fan of Tiguan, so I prefer JDM cars instead.
Gonzalo A I'd like to call Volkswagen vehicles "refined"
Not nice car looks old also all vw look the same boring style👎
