    Turf interaction is very important for me. It is refreshing to hear a reviewer talk about Turf interaction and actually be out on grass instead of off of a mat. To me unless you're playing off of hard pan all the time reviews off of a mat are next to worthless so thanks for the content

      Thanks for the kind words Mark! I agree, turf interaction is pretty vital when it comes to choosing irons and I'm happy to be able to share my feedback!
      What irons are you currently gaming or looking at for 2024?

      ‘23 P7MB’s are super solid. I’m excited to see what they can do with the 2025 lineup!
      The new Callaway’s look great, hopefully I’ll get to review them at some point.

    Loved the P7MC content here. I’m on my second set of ‘20 P7MC (Axiom 125X) and they remain my favorite iron I’ve owned (have owned several Titleist and Mizuno irons over time). It’s difficult to choose why: 1. favorite shaping including a thin sole with great turf interaction, 2. I believe in the 2k ton forging process because they feel really soft but pack a ton of hit at impact, 3. they’re so consistent it’s a joke. They’re also beautiful (I prefer the 20 vs 23 finishing; the raw option is also sick).
    The video format is great, appreciated that you took the TW through every iron, that was super informative.

    Just saw your video from 3 months ago and I really enjoyed it. I have played blades for 30 + years and am currently playing my original P7TW's (since Dec 2021) . I play P7MB PW, P7TW 9-4 all with DG 120 x100 shafts bent 1 deg flat with stock lofts (P7TW 9-7 and 5&6 are great, the 4 is a 50-50 club for me). The thing I learned about these P7TW 9-7 iron clubs is you have to force yourself to come in at at steeper descent than you normally think appropriate for a blade of this type assuming turf is not extra soft or wet. The mill grind sole helps so the chunks are not nearly as chunky as you might expect. Plus they are like a scalpel for control - high, low, right, left. Probably the best blade I have ever played. For what it's worth, I also had a set of 2021 P7MC's and I played them for about 2 months. Too much stuff going on in the P7MC for my liking so I got rid of them. Keep up the great content! Cheers.

    Another excellent summary - as a P7MC player I found this review to be spot on. I would play the T-Dubs down low if TM would sell them that way, but alas they sell whole sets only in that club. Keep up the fantastic work with your channel.

      The P7MC's are so good and imo it's going to be really hard to beat with the next TM iron release, but we shall see!
      I may do a funky build out with the TW's and I'll possibly document it on the channel if that's something you'd like to see.
      Your support means a lot, hope all is well!

      @@TheEquipmentJunkie gotcha, will go check those out. They got here about a month after fitting. Played one round and the lie angles felt off. Went to the local place near me (just moved from Oregon to Florida). And turned out they were a degree flat. They kept them over night to adjust (which I thought was weird). Go in the next day and the faces are scratched and dented. Argue with them about it for a bit and they finally agree to warranty. Couple weeks later new set shows up but two are dented on the face/toe and one has a massive scratch running vertically across the sweet spot. Warranty those 3. Couple weeks later they show up… but right handed (I’m left handed😭). Call customer support at Cobra to see about a refund because this is just stupid at this point. They said they don’t do refunds but will get it fixed… ship the right handed ones off and am waiting to see what happens now LOL. The order confirmed sheet had the wrong shafts (called them and spam emailed so hopefully it gets changed…) also pre ordered a 56-8M and 60-4T SM10 since the wedges I had were fit in Oregon. Had to send the 60 back because it was an inch shorter than what I ordered ☹️. No luck LOL

    As much as I love my p790, I really wish I had a better fitter. I was thrown 6-7 different brands, ranging from players to distance. I learned on butter knife irons 25 years ago. Because of that I don’t do well with chunky clubs. If nothing else I’m certain I could have gone all 770s, or probably a 770/ MC split or even 790 4-5, 770 6-7, MC 8-PW. I guess the only good thing is I can easily switch it up

    • @TheEquipmentJunkie
      @TheEquipmentJunkie  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those things happen!
      Unfortunately when it comes to fitting it’s very easy to chase launch monitor numbers which don’t always transfer to real world conditions. (It’s one of the main reasons I test clubs outside).
      That said, I think you’ll be really excited about some upcoming Taylormade clubs… :)
      Stay tuned to the channel in the near future !
