Yeah I'm a shorter player with a 44inch shaft and the Qi10 LS can really put it out there for me best so far is 336y on a lengthy par4. Pretty dang good for a 44inch shaft lol

@@joshpashia637 Yeah I wouldn’t get that distance unless I got 40 yards of run as I play in the Scotland and it’s mainly wet. 300 is about it for me realistically. Just a great driver tho

@@CharlotteK2008 I hit that on a hilly dry fairway had a ton of roll up the hill before the green though.

I bought both. I agree with you. The taylormade was more draw biased. I like the ping but every so often the slice seemed to come back. Never had the slice with qi10. I play the taylormade in the lowest setting in the upright option. I will probably try the non upright in the lowest setting to see if it straightens it out just a little bit more.

Really it would just be a little less forgiving, and maybe a little lower launching!

Love to hear that David! I agree, Mizuno woods are crazy underrated and I think in the next 5-10 years or so they really may be a market leader. How did you spec out your ST 230 Max?

@@TheEquipmentJunkie I had a full bag fitting May last year in Bonn Germany by my friend Sinjin McNab. I tried the ST 230Z and ST 230X I preferred the X model we used the Mizuno shaft optimizer for shaft selection. When the ST 230 Max was released it was built to my spec, however using my club builder here in Spain we found it was only D 0 swing weight so we increased the swing weight to D 4 by adding weight to the shaft tip, also spline aligned the shaft to my adapter setting and aligned it with a touch of draw bias and now it just goes straight. I do have the occasional miss Q but the consistency is amazing.

Love it! What gains did you see in the ST-230 Max over the X?

The P7MC's are so good and imo it's going to be really hard to beat with the next TM iron release, but we shall see! I may do a funky build out with the TW's and I'll possibly document it on the channel if that's something you'd like to see. Your support means a lot, hope all is well!

Love to hear it! ZX MKII UT 4i is so good, I played it last year for a bit and it was genuinely one of my favorite clubs to hit.

I think when it comes to these clubs or really any clubs, there isn't really a right or wrong. It's just super important to consider who you are as a player and what shots you need in your bag to shoot your lowest scores on the courses you play. For most slower speed players these clubs can be really awesome in a 4i or 5i because the lower and further back CG offers more help/height but without moving into a hybrid which some people don't like the look of. That said, as you move into a 21* or less lofted club, it usually makes more sense to go into a hybrid or fairway because they are hotter, launch higher and are more forgiving. On the contrary, for really high speed players sometimes it's very hard to build a hybrid or fairway between 17* and 20* that doesn't launch too high or spin too much. So it makes more sense to build a lower lofted iron to hit the windows they are looking for. But again, a lot of this is course dependent and just understanding what you need to shoot your lowest scores. If you play in windy/links conditions it may make more sense to use a driving iron to keep the ball on the ground, even if you are a slower speed player. If you play on long courses with thick rough and firm greens, it may make more sense to use a higher lofted wood even if you are a faster player (a couple great examples of this is Dustin Johnson using a 24* 9-Wood in his bag and Xander Schauffele using a 7 wood to win the PGA Championship).

Nippon Modus GOST in Srixon and Mizuno. HZRDUS RDX Smoke Black in PXG. UST Recoil Dart in Taylormade. Love that setup! I'm hoping to mess with the ZX 3i at some point soon, think it might be slightly more playable than the 2i.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words! After spending some time thinking about it, I felt the UDI was the best comparison, as these are all meant to be a driving iron first and utility second imo. That said, in an ideal world a club between the UDI and DHY would have been the perfect comparison because the Mizuno, Srixon and PXG all sort of sit in that middle ground from a design perspective. The Srixon is such a good club and a pretty close second for me behind the Mizuno, but I think it would be darn near perfect in a 3i as you have it built! 9TX Ventus is crazy! That sound like a low bullet monster when necessary but also can get it up in the air with the bit of added loft vs. a 2i. I love that!

@@TheEquipmentJunkie 100% correct and agree with you across the board. You should try the 9TX (you need to be at D3 or greater sw I’ve found due to balance point and srixon head being a light component; hot melt in mine), I’m certain the TX moniker is just intended to differentiate it from the blue offering, I don’t think it’s too harsh or stiff at all (blue feels loose to me)! Cheers man!

@@TheEquipmentJunkie Well first off, I think people that sub or even just come across your channel because of the algorithm, really enjoy what you put out right now! It’s informative, and fun to watch like other good creators. But I think it’s your “maturity”, or professionalism, that sets you apart. Or at the least puts your channel in a small group of other creators. It’s that attitude and way you carry yourself that can make us viewers take your word for things when you review them. Your content just has a different level of polish and professionalism all while still being funny and entertaining to watch. As far as moving forward…I think you should play to your strengths! Solid reviews and comparisons of clubs that people are interested in. But you could also bring in a guest that plays differently than you to see how they feel about some clubs. Maybe have a company rep come in and give you an interview or something like that showing off the tech they’re working on or what their pros use. And I wouldn’t mind watching you play a round or something with another player now and then. Just to break up the equipment focus of your channel. 🤣. I bet you weren’t expecting all that! 🤣. Please don’t misunderstand me though, your channel is outstanding as it is right now. And it’ll only go up as you keep putting stuff out that you’re proud of. That way, it’s never really about money. Really appreciate your support Dave! I'm working on trying to get the software necessary to add summary's or possibly just put Quad numbers on the screen. Shafts were Nippon Modus GOST in the Srixon and Mizuno, Project X HZRDUS RDX Smoke Black in PXG and UST Recoil Dart in the Taylormade 👍
