Right? It’s so much fun to listen to, but man he would be a tough coach… just because almost everything he does is based on feel, and that’s impossible to teach.
Tell me about it. I started golf in my mid teens and had zero content like this, just freinds telling me what I should be fixing. Now I'm 43 and back into the game, and I find this content immensely helpful.
I think they thought the trottie type of character was overbearing in this, I love trottie but stuff like this was not really his thing. This is much better!
Tiger is incredible man. Not just for everything already mentioned, but he was a sponge when he was a kid. He would listen to all of these greats -- Seve, Palmer, Nicklaus, you name it. And he remembered everything. And now when he's talking to these young guys, all of that wisdom from generations past is coming back. What a gift he is to the sport of golf
Every time I hear Tiger talk with other Pro's, he swings and thinks differently than everyone. He relies so much on feel and his hand work - you can't teach that. It takes an incredible amount of talent + work to pull it off. But it's also probably why he's so great in pressure situations - he see's the shot, leans on his experience and just feels the swing. No over thinking it.
watching this, I feel golf is much more complicated than most people think. Pros seem to think about so many factors even when they just have a 15 yard chip shot
I think Tiger found his 2nd career by having a video series like this. We get to see his knowledge, along with meeting and understanding other golfers and their knowledge. Very insightful and enjoyable to watch.
The difference in techniques and thought processes between these two champions just reiterates the importance of finding what works for you in practice
Love everything tiger is saying. My father taught me, i get everything hes saying about feel and hands. Grew up chipping around the yard, dad put a chipping green in. So much is just practice. Most we had was a pw and sand wedge. Had to get creative.
Shocked to hear them concerned about duffing or even playing it fat! Didn’t think they even worried about those things at this stage. Totally enjoyed listening to this!
See the single ball mark on Tiger’s wedge - the guy’s a savage, constant contact on the one spot. Mine on the other hand has marks all over the place 😂
That is all so far out of my league but it was great to hear them talk about it. It's also amazing to hear how golfers pass knowledge along to the next generation- Tiger sharing what Seve told him with Collin.... And as great as he is, to see Collin's response to how Tiger thinks and goes about his shots is priceless.
I love that I can watch what Tiger does as he explains now. Before, years ago when I just started, you had to read the article and try and figure it out. Now you can watch. It’s so much easier and love that he does this.
As a 64 year old retired PGA pro, I was taught the "pick a spot" where you want the ball to land. I always felt I didn't have the right feel for that. Now I don't think about the spot and just feel how far to hit it. But Ray Floyd was pretty darn good with his chipping.
Heard TIger mention Seve numerous times when it comes to the short game. I believe he went to see Seve and had a personal clinic on the short game and said he couldn't do or replicate some of the things that Seve was showing him! Would have been amazing if they'd got some footage of that.
@@martynzl then try looking for the interview with tiger at the open just after seve died in 2011 where he talks about spending time with Seve and not being able to replicate the shots that Seve showed him. Tiger called Seve a genius. It's on here mate so I shouldn't be so hasty as to call me out as incorrect as I would say u are! Btw saying Seve played percentage shots and not difficult ones says u know nothing!
Holy crap that shot Collin took out of his divot “like a bunker shot ..” was phenomenal imo 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼 well all are phenomenal, especially when compared to my short or skulled chips ..but that one is a shot id kill to have
From one weekend golfer to the next never ever take instruction from Tiger Woods the man is way too good at this game he does things with the golf ball and the golf club that none of us can even understand let alone try to recreate at the course.
I'm the same way, I don't play a glove bc it twists and can throw you off. I feel i have way more control without one...but you do need to build up callus on your hands or blisters will come.
What Tiger calls “doing it with his hands”, I’ve always called “the shot that has to be played”. Not routine. Not stock. Not practice. The required shot.
In tigers book he talks about hitting of the toe on short shots you’ll get more spin but years later this video short shots stay off the toe and hit middle , how much technology takes credit for that? Or what data can back this up?
I don't play golf, I'd like to, I don't. So obvious i know nothing about it. Still, I feel like Tiger is really good at explaining because I just got to 12 minutes and I finally think I understand what they're talking about, which is pretty impressive when you think about it 😂
1080p is the best we can do?? Well over 10 years into the existence of 4K and all the clips of Tiger are going to continue to be blurry. At least 1440p. Who is the dinosaur who won't spring for 4K cameras?
Short game and putting is what 90% of amateur golfers should be practicing. That is where the strokes are made up. At this point most hit decent drives and approach shots.
That's what we call ageing, I looked at my face the other day and to be honest I saw something that I have to live with for a very long time and I'm almost certain it's gonna get worse . Baby face is gone.
I'll never get tired of Tiger explaining how he hits and feels golf shots
No one knows more about the golf swing than Tiger!
Right? It’s so much fun to listen to, but man he would be a tough coach… just because almost everything he does is based on feel, and that’s impossible to teach.

Ya i'm on my fourth video in a row rn
22:42 😊MY FRIEND TIGER WOODS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST GOLFERS LIKE AM IN NORTH AMERICA AND I BELIEVE THAT TIGER WOODS CAN DO IT IN GOLF 🏌️
What a time for golfers, we have tiger & Phil explaining and teaching us all via YT
Great time for us all.
Tell me about it. I started golf in my mid teens and had zero content like this, just freinds telling me what I should be fixing. Now I'm 43 and back into the game, and I find this content immensely helpful.
Phil?
I like that there's no "host" character in this. Just two pros talking.
how every video should be, we do not need a host ever
I think they thought the trottie type of character was overbearing in this, I love trottie but stuff like this was not really his thing. This is much better!

Pure gold
One thing that makes these videos more enjoyable is that you can tell the player paired with Tiger is genuinely engaged in picking his brain.
Shits like gold to them. You can tell.
Imagine you had 22 mins to ask the greatest golfer to ever exist whatever you wanted... That's what homie was just experiencing.
It’s amazing how much thought goes into every shot for pros.

Indeed. The art of the game, his game!
I agree. The only problem is it will become more susceptible to nerves as he ages.
@@jeffreyyoungblood7438 As Tiger migrates to the senior tour (expectation), we will see and hear about the affects on his game and how he adjusts. 👍
watching this, I feel golf is much more complicated than most people think. Pros seem to think about so many factors even when they just have a 15 yard chip shot
Most amateurs play golf swing. These guys play golf.
The better you get the more difficult it becomes
Every shot has to be lie based before anything else.
I don’t see how it can be any other way..
I suppose when you play courses set up as hard as they are on tour you have to think of every aspect to get it close
@@MrFisher676 and quite the opposite, got to sometimes play away from the flag.
Such a tough game.
I can take notes and watch Tiger explain golf all day

Hearing Tiger never gets old. Love these.
Fantastic insight into the mindset of the greatest player of all time. Excellent contribution by CM
the thing about tiger: he not only knows what happens and why as he's hitting the ball, he knows and understands what everyone else is doing
Taylormade is going to convert me with videos like this. Gem. Many thanks for posting this.
Phenomenal to listen to how nuanced a player he is. Every last detail, every feel of the ball through his club feeding back to his hands.
Shocked to hear them concerned about duffing or even playing it fat! Didn’t think they even worried about those things at this stage. Totally enjoyed listening to this!
The biggest take away here is there is no "right" way. Everyone has their game and the way they play the game. Fascinating.
two goats. grew up watching tiger, been a big fan of colin for the last couple of years. so much good info
Colin is nowhere near a goat.
@@Wangchung405 thats you opinion... lol
@@PURP_PLAYS it is. On the same token though, i do hope Colin gets a win this year.
@@PURP_PLAYS colin potential, tiger a goat. learn english. their careers arent comparable
Tiger such a student of the game. Greatest talent and golf mind.
So much info and pearls of wisdom it does make you appreciate how complicated Golf really is! Thank you Tiger and Collin! ⛳️🤙
Holy shit they have so many variable in their shots. Wrist set, hands high, off the toe, off the middle holy
See the single ball mark on Tiger’s wedge - the guy’s a savage, constant contact on the one spot. Mine on the other hand has marks all over the place 😂
I see that I laughed to myself
that's the first thing i noticed...my wedge has marks literally on the whole face LOL
I paid for the whole face, gonna use it all lol
@@donnieshort6166 hahaha!!
This is so cool. Big call .. but I think Tigers short game artistry will give him a chance around Pinehurst. It brings him into the conversation

I bet that was a quick conversation with TaylorMade went when Tiger said, “I’ll be hitting my Bridgestone balls” in your video.
lol that’s crazy. I’m all Callaway except my glove and my TP 5 balls.
Last time I checked Tiger had the same bounce on both his 56 and 60, but that might have been course specific setup!
This video is a bit older.
TW hasn't worn "Nike" since February 2024.
TW has changed Bounce and Grind for certain grasses and conditions.
I could watch him talk and demonstrate golf all day all month all year
No really explain what you feel 😂" I'm doing something with it" what a typical goat response
Jesus Christ! How Tiger thinks about shots will never stop amazing me!
i imagine im also standing next to them but have nothing to contribute and am just listening
I wonder what major venue they were talking about?
Drawing a 15 yd chip is crazy.
Glad to hear Tiger is always playing a draw or cut on his chips, ive always have played lime that
21:52 This is definitely true in life in general too... I read lies so much better now.
More of this please
It's really difficult in any sport to explain feeling and mental cues during rapid movements. Tiger is really good at it.
I love this so much, thankyou!
Tiger is such a legend.
From one weekend golfer to the next never ever take instruction from Tiger Woods the man is way too good at this game he does things with the golf ball and the golf club that none of us can even understand let alone try to recreate at the course.
This is a $5k lessons folks 🙌
Who the heck does a Draw and Cut for a pitch and chip shot? Tiger is something else 😂
Pearls from the GOAT!
Tigers into had me cracking up for some reason. He really sold it
Colin getting a wealth of knowledge off the goat

Tiger's Talks = Tager Stalks. Might be a good title.
Morikawa got the 2003 8th grade k-swiss pristine whites. pretty funny.
Love it
this is gold
“We’re getting ready for a tournament.”
Tiger, there’s nothing left to prove. It’s time to call it an amazing career.
He is a competitor
Tiger thinks so differently from younger players because he’s really a feel player whereas most young players are rote learnt.
I wear two gloves, because the club twist in my hand. Its such a huge improvement. I use the taylormade rain gloves. Anyone else do the same?
you have iron covers too? lol jk
Trying to explain why he's such a generational player. References to Spanish greats Seve and Ollie... ❤
The ball wear on tigers 56 @ 5:00 is crazy
I don’t think about spin at all when chipping 😂😂
It's raining outside...who cares...I'm gonna go and chip
there are so many ?s i would ask if i were there
To me being in fairway is always the same lie 😂
It truly is amazing, a pro’s feel…to me, every shot looks exactly the same LOL
Does Tiger have a rust colored wedge or a rust covered wedge?
The wedges raw finish naturally rusts over time
Tiger no glove = GOAT
And this is why tiger is the greatest his mind is so advanced he even confuses top top pros lol
TM players, TM channel, TM Collin uses a TP5… they still used Bridgestones lol
“Feelz”
