I seen people offer Free Pool tables all the time in OfferUp, after watching your videos, I now understand that moving a pool table is not a task for any regular Joe. And sometimes the repairs on these free tables could be very expensive. Thank you for the learning experience
Very much enjoyed the video!! Someone gave me a leisure bay several months back. I had it moved, re-covered, and new rails all for about $1000. Im satisfied with the table simply bc I don’t have a ton of money in it. Thanks for doing this video!!
I have a beautiful pre 2000 8 ft LB. I moved it myself when I moved 18 years ago. It was an easy move. There were no issues in the deassemble or the re. I love my LB
Not to mention that they apply the rubber and then stain the table. 99% of all Leisure Bay tables I move need new rubber. I warn any potential customers before they buy a Leisure Bay to understand that the cushions will in fact need replacement. I get chastised by people for talking myself out of work sometimes but I don't care because I don't want any of my customers to be upset or dissatisfied with their purchase. They look to me for professionalism and that's what I give. I love watching your videos because when you talk it's exactly what I think. I worked at rec warehouse for over 5 years and did many Leisure Bays. Everything you touched on is spot on. Great job.
I wish i had seen this video sooner. I just bought a used leisure bay pool table. Everything you said is true. The rubber bumpers are hard like a rock, and now i have to replace them 😮💨
Thanks for the video. I almost bought one today for $300 on FB market place. I’m going to keep shopping. I was hoping to get decent home table in the $1,500 range as my 13 yr old sons wants to start playing pool.
Nice video! We’ll have to watch this too! In case i don’t get my question answered on your live video, what’s your thoughts over Imperial table? Thank you for all you do for us!!!!
Imperial makes a decent table. I've never had any serious complaints about them. I would stay away from Leisure Bay tables though. They usually require a LOT of work to get them back to playing condition.
@@CreativeRestorations agree on both! This Imperial I got after started watching your videos!!! You gave me the courage and knowledge to try fixing it. It’s in very good shape and just needs a new cloth (hence the question about the Andy cloth a while back), I’ll change the rubber bumpers, and will level it to your standards!!! It’s a work in progress and I’ll let you know when I am done!! For now, thank you so much and let’s go for the Q&A video, shall we?
Great insight! I have a Leisure Bay that was built around the same time, or earlier and the rubber seems OK. Did they ever make them with quality rubber?
Thank you for the Liesure Bay video. I have the chance to get a free LB pool table. I’m thinking of making it a project and stripping it down completely, refinishing, replacing the rubber and the slate liner. I’ve built a shuffleboard table from the ground up and it turned out respectable. It seems like starting with a leisure bay is better than starting from scratch. I would appreciate you opinion on the matter.
Leisure Bay uses particle board for the main body of most of their pool tables. Unless you are 1000% sure that it's it's made completely out of solid wood, I would stay away from it. I'm a professional and I wouldn't sink my time into one. There are MUCH MUCH better options out there that will come out better and give you less headaches in the process.

It's always great to have one's efforts recognized by his peers. Thank you!

I'd like to see you talk about Golden West. I see them offered in many stores but people talk bad about them.

I love my light colored leisure bay 9 foot table
Same here, love our Leisure Bay table. Don't listen to this Assclown in the video!
