- John from www.discountjuicers.com/ answers the question: What juicer is best for someone on a living and raw foods diet? In this episode John will explain the best two juicers for someone on a raw foods diet. After watching this episode, you will know the specific differences and similarities between these two juicers and discover which juicer would be best for you.
John -you are a fascinating presenter.I'm hooked on your videos.I keep watching them and enjoy every bit of it and crave for more. You have got what it takes to keep ppls attention.Thnx..........
The Green Star Elite (Just last week) announced they have increased the warranty to a full 12 Years on the model I show in this video - The GSE-5000. This applies to all previous and new owners.
Great videos John. Thanks for helping me select the GSE 5000. And now it has a 12 year warrantee! I got it June 1st and my wife and I are juicing twice a day. The screen takes a little longer to clean but it's is totally worth it. Keep the videos coming, and a Big thank you for all you help!
Oh wow, i feel like you made this video just for me :) you answered all my questions and i wish i could buy my 'omega' from you but i'm in the UK. I had made my mind up but was wondering about the differeces between these two machines, so thank you - nice timing and great job!
now i'm even more undecided on which one to buy!!!
For nut butters- the champion, it heats up the nuts so it sticks together better. For almond milk, the VRT works best, and for coconut creme, I prefer the 8006. The right juicer for the "right job".
Awesome videos! I just started looking at juicers but when I'm ready to buy, I'm buying from you because your biz is the kind I love to support. Keep it up!
I've used Omega VRT 330, Angel and Omega 8006. I'm thinking of adding the Green Star GSE 5000. But like you, I like the Omega 8006 machine for its quick cleaning. The only cons are the single auger eject pulps wet and yield less compared to Green Star. Omega can reign the market if its ejection technology can be improved for higher yields.
Thank you so much for making these videos comparing juicer to juicer. It makes a world of difference to a novice like me trying to find the best juicer w/ a really good warranty. Thank you! Peace out:)
thanks for the video. love the passion you put into teaching us about how to live healthy lives.
Great info video's John on juicers. I was unsure which juicer to buy, and thanks to your videos, comparing juicers, I decided to go with a Omega 8006. Thank you.
awesome !! Omega 8004 it is , thanks John ! We were "this" close to make a wrong decision for us... Thanks once again !!!
John,
Thanks so much for another great informative video!
Yes, each juicer produces a juice (given the same starting produce items) tastes a little different. In general, fresh juices produced in low rpm juicers (such as these) will be more beneficial in my opinion than juices made in high speed juicers that oxidize your juice more. Im confident the benefits will be similiar, but as I mention in the video, I believe the Green Star elite "edges" out the 8004 juice.
The juicer I like the best depends on the task that I am doing. Overall I prefer the 8004/8006 for people that want to live raw or living foods due to the fact they they offer the multifunction capabilities that the vrt does not. If you make nut butters or frozen fruit sorbets in the VRT, it will void the warranty. In addition, as mentioned in the video the 8004/8006 are more efficient at juicing a higher percentage of greens than the vrt, which I feel is an important factor for some people.
Based on my experience, the green star elite works better for making almond milk. I usually use the juicer to extract the milk after blending almonds with water..
Hi, great video - thank you. I own the Green Star Elite and love it!
I'm just wondering, are you a 100% raw foodist? If not, what percentage would you say is good for optimum health? Thanks.
The manufacturer makes that claim. Despite the fact that you "can" store the juice. I always encourage everyone to drink the juice RIGHT after its made for highest benefit. I would have no problem storing the juice from the 8006 for up to 72 hours. That being said, I NEVER do that. The most I will store juice is 24 hours, and even that is RARE. I usually just make enough juice to drink in that one sitting and make more later for best benefit.
I have watched a lot of your videos and you seem to really love the Omega vert juicers, more than the 8004. I saw you video on the almond milk and that was awesome. I make icecream in the blender, but the Omega Vert seems to make good icecream as well. I am ready to buy a single auger juicer, but I want one that is fun and easy to use and versatile as well. As a raw foodist, do you really prefer the 8004 to the Vert?
what about sprouts. which one extract more juice if you're just juicing sprouts like broccoli, sunflower, or alfalfa?
I understand the juice from the Greenstar can be refrigerated up to 72 hours with no nutritional loss. Is the same true of the 8006?
Thanks so much for your videos John! I would really like to know, compared with the Omega and Champion, which one is better for making nut butters, almond milk and coconut cream? Basically the really *hard* stuff. Thanks so much! :)
Thank you so much.
There have been no studies that I am aware of. You can purchase the juicers, and then juice, and then send off the juices to a lab for analyzing... My answer to this question is at watch?v=KduUyiU6WOc
Both these juicers are "slow running juicers". Do you mean the slow juicer? That is a vertical single auger juicer. The vertical single auger style juicer DOES not have the multifunction features and will only juice. It also does not juice leafy greens as well as these two machines, as it does tend to back up a bit if juicing too many greens without juicing other hard veggies and firm fruits.
The Omega 8004/8006 will process tomatoes better. That being said, I would probably use a blender instead.
@rawfoods Thank you so so much i've been wondering so much about this green star
better than the slow auger juicer??? buying one today or tomorrow
Your videos have been such a great help in choosing a juicer but I have one question that's a really important factor for me - which juicer out of the Omega 8006 or the Green Star Elite is best at making almond milk? I was going to buy the Omega 8006 but then I saw your video making almond milk comparing it with the VRT but I don't want to buy the VRT! HELP!
which juicer is best for cold press in a juice bar? please help
There are no major changes to juicers at this point. As I learn new information, I will post new videos, so subscribe to my TH-cam channel for the latest updates.
cool. ty
Why don't you charge for watching your videos? You do a great job!
I only juicing leafy greens. So the omega 8006 produce less forming(Oxidation) straight green juice than the green star elite. And the omega extract more green juice than the elite.
The omega looks alot like the samson....what's different between the omega and the samson?
I do not recommend freezing juice. Please see
watch?v=t8_He-EYzmQ
for my video on how to store your juices.
i personally feel the omega 8006 or 8004 are the most superior juicer for raw foods dieter.
please seach my videos. I have a video comparing the omega 8000 series and the samson 9000 series.
LMFAO! The ex-girlfriend melted his auger! That's why she's the EX girlfriend.
Why would someone want to pay twice as much for only a 5 year warranty? That doesn't seem right to me.

for my tests on straight greens.
