the omega is sooo easy to clean and assemble...i own a green star and an omega too and i stopped using the green star because of cleaning.. i love the vertical and horizontal omega the best, i had the 1st generation vertical hurom and it was also a pain to clean ...
I purchased the Omega VRT from my employer a couple of years ago and it has stopped on me after 3 years. I will be contacting Omega for a repair or replacement. In the meantime I ordered the Omega RDS800 as a backup. I like the 800 better as I tend to juice mainly leafy greens and hard veggies like carrots, celery, beets, ginger and also occasional a few fruits like apple and lemon. The easier and less messy cleanup is great too! Thanks John for all of the videos and information.
Thank you, thank you, John for making this(as I know I've been bugging you, like forever, to do one of these)! Am assuming the reg GSE is the same as far as the juice amt, etc as the Pro. Once again, while watching this, it makes me realize I have what I need for what/why I juice(and have since 1990). Yes, I hate cleaning it and often when I do I say, "I need to get an easier juicer to clean!" lol, but I cave when I see what I will miss in volume, nutrition, etc. Purest and tastiest juice from all the other machines I purchased through the yrs(and returned). I ordered the scrapper and it arrived the other day but so far, it doesn't seem to be that valuable. I use a butter knife(flat side) to clean the screen off before I wash it, but will continue to try out the scrapper. One day, hopefully, there will be an easier to clean machine like the GSE and when that happens, I'll get it(unless I cave and buy something sooner). Again, thank you!
We all know that green star is the best juicer in this world.. People love it, but they dont buy it because it's so difficult to clean..... By the way John, Why is it so difficult to dissassemble the drum ?
I juice oranges all the time in my NC800. Nothing but oranges, set on #5, never clogs up. However you do have to go slow or stop every 1/4 orange to let the juice drain out.
I am unable to recommend a commercial juicer at this time. By the end of the year a bunch of commercial juicers will be released and change the commercial juicing market.
NEVER juice carrots and pineapple together. NEVER. That's according to Jay Kordich. Why? Well, he never said exactly why other than to just say that they are incompatible together. Ignoring his warning, I use carrots to push pineapple through my old Green Life all the time, and I'm still alive to tell the tale.
I use to also follow this rule from Jay, but since I have changed my mind also. Don't seem to be negatively affected. That being said, most people are drinking things far worse than pineapple carrot juice!
I dont understand. Why was the taste better with the tribest? Also I have the nc800hds. Is it ok to juice all at once and then freeze my juice? Do I lose nutrients when I freeze?
Not 100% sure myself. Some possible reasons: 1. better extraction of more nutrients. As evidenced when I showed the pulp, the GSP was more effective. 2. Magnetic and FIR technology, maybe this preserves more nutrients 3. Different extraction method, due to grinding, mixing and squeezing stages in the juicer 4. Less Oxidation Damage due to the above reasons (which will preserve better taste) Another consideration is if you will be storing the juice. Green Star Pro Juice is more stable after 72 hours (keeps more nutrients) than other juicers based on testing I have seen. I recommend drinking juice right after its made for best results. It can be frozen and used within a month, but keep it in an airtight vessel filled to the top to eliminate extra airspace. When thawing, thaw as quickly as possible and drink. Nutrients will be lost when storing juices in fridge and even more in the freezer due to slow thawing damage.
DiscountJuicers.com, from my experience, for daily home use, there is no valid reason to buy gse. A tiny bit supposedly more yield does not really make difference. I bet in other juice off you will see omega juice more yield as well. All in all, omega is just the better juicer. Gse should be avoided for the never ending and difficult cleaning alone. I had gse but sold it. I don't use any juicer but if i would buy one in the future i would certainly go with this omega for daily use.

You are so awesome! I'm so appreciative for all of your channels and all that you do for humanity.

the drum on the nc800? Mine had some dried juice in there. So I cleaned it out after I made the video.

Correct. Oranges generally don't have an issue. Other fruits such as apples, pears, pineapple can be problematic.
What happened to your video comparing the green star versus the pure juicer? Says it is private video now
Don't worry, that video will come back one of these days, it was published by accident.
hey john, great video's ! i'm planning on starting a juice bar. what commercial juicer do you recommend ? kind regards

John, is there a commerical vertical slow juicer yet, or coming anytime soon?
Not quite yet. hopefully by the end of the year. I will have a video on it as soon as its available :)

it did better job on the carrots, and carrots are sweet
This is like Frazier vs Ali. My favorite 2!. I live in Sydney Australia. How much would it cost me to get a Greenstar pro over here?
We do not ship outside the USA. Please contact your local dealer for availability.
omega half the price...
What a sweetheart! Thank you
