- John from www.discountjuicers.com/ shares with you the best juicer for juicing leafy greens. In this episode you will see which Omega single auger juicer extracts the green juice from 1 pound of leafy greens the best. After watching this video you will discover if the Omega 8006 / 8004 or the Omega VRT 350HD / VRT 330HD Juices straight leafy green vegetables best.
Just wanted to thank you for all your videos. I just got my Omega 8004 yesterday. Thanks for the quick delivery; I ordered the juicer on Thursday and it was on my doorstep on Monday. Just had my first green juice from it.
while you can do this, if you put pulp thru the vrt, it may actually work worse, as the vrt will not be able to push the soft pulp thru the juicer.. on some juicers, choppping things up may be beneficial. The produce I used in this video was BABY produce, and very tender, so s-blading would not be recommended.
Another solid juice off from John. I've never tried straight up greens in my VRT juicer and I was surprised to see just how much foam is created.
The 8006 is more effective when juicing straight leafy greens in my test. I do have a video showing the 8006 makes 25% more juice when juicing ONLY leafy greens.
because of you I bought the Omega 8006 and I LOVE IT!!! i was so confused and watched so many of your videos and I felt so confident this was the way to go for me. as someone who had a jack lalane juicer years ago that ended up in the cupboard- now this new omega is my daily go to device and I am eating healthier and more raw than ever. thank you again for taking the time to help so many of us get what we need for our hard earned money. thank you-thank you- best in al things to you!!!
I appreciate your passion for juicing. You have found you calling in life John !!!
Each juicer has their own pros and cons. I have other videos where I compare the GSE to the single auger juicers I show in this video. Overall, the GSE will yield more when juicing hard vegetables and fruits than the single auger juicers. the GSE will also make a higher nutrient quality in the juice.
Its a centrifugal ejection style juicer. They are juicers and they work to get people to drink juice. That being said, overall I prefer slow rpm juicers, that maximize the nutrition and yield more on leafy green vegetables.
I have friends that eat the pulp as a salad after adding a dressing or raisins. Some people use it for baking, for eye masks, I feed mix it with dog kibble to feed my dog. Some people dehydrate it into crackers. You can feed it to your worms to make worm castings for gardening.. Most of the time I just compost it to build fertility of my garden soil.
I went with the Omega vert 350hd after watching all of you're videos on it, it makes amazing green juices and everything else as far as I'm concerned :)
All single auger juicers may be prone to auger scrape. Please see

where I talk more about this.
Hi John you have inspired me to purchase 2 Omega juicers, the 8004 and a BMJ 390 Big Mouth. I love what you do and I always look forward to seeing your next video. I have a question. Why when you are doing demo videos and juice offs why do you usually use a store bought container of greens when you have a HUGE garden? Just wondering. Listen to this Man People. He is the real deal. I have never rated anything on the internet before. John truly inspires Me and my family to live better.
Thanks John, enjoyed this video. I'm going to get the 8006
Most fruits and vegetables that can be juiced can be juiced in the vrt if you prepare them properly.
I havent specifically juiced only 1 bunch of kale in the 8006 plain. So I dont know the answer. If you have both juicers, I recommend you making a video juicing 1 bunch of kale in each juicer to show people the results!
Thanks John! It arrived this week and I am really pleased with it! It is quiet and pretty much self feeding (I've only had to use the pusher once!). I like the fact that it comes with 2 screens so you can decide how pulpy you want your juice. Cheers!
Love it John...makes me want to buy both!!
Often times they are more consistant (size/weight) than the food I am growing. On many occasions, I also use the produce from my garden.
great video! ..and I'm so glad to see my juicer come out on top :)
This can happen if you are not rotating produce properly and/or feeding too quickly. It can also happen if you are not preparing the produce properly. I always try to end juicing in the vrt with hard produce, ie: carrots to minimze this effect.
Hej John I love you man. Keep up good work so I can learn from the best. Greetings from Poland. PS. Today I bought my Omega 8006, delivery man gonna bring it to me tomorrow, I'm so excited xD
the best thing to do is to contact omega directly at 1 800 633 3401. Their website may not be updated with the latest inventory status.
Love these juice-offs!
One thing I notice about the 8006 is that when I clean it there is often smashed up greens that collect around the auger ... actually quite a bit most of the time.
Thanks John great vid!
Love the video.
while the twin gears will juice leafy greens, they tend to create alot of foam. They do best when juicing hard veggies and leafy greens.
John, have you ever used or tested the Nutri Bullet? I was watching the infomercial and it looks similar to the Magic Bullet. Would be good to use when traveling or on the road.
Love watching your videos ~ very educational. Thanks for all the good info.
This video only compared single auger juicers. I have other videos where I juice only greens in the greenstar.
Thanks. Non-organic vegetables may also have miticides.
Thanks for this vid, John! I am gonna be getting an 8004 soon to start juicing the greens from my indoor organic garden. Namely stinging nettle, stevia, and fresh fan leaves (non-psychoactive) from my organic medical cannabis plants. I will experiment with additional flavors and textures like chamomile, aloe vera, strawberries (and their greens), tangerines, peppermint, lemonbalm, and maybe catnip as well. I'm hoping to have a medicinal, tasty, nutritious, and non-psychoactive juice...eventually

Hi John, thanks for your videos. I started 2 years ago with a Jack LaLanne : ) In August, I became vegan and invested in my first VitaMix. Seeing the diffence in quality tools, I am ready to "upgrade" my juicer. After much research, my heart is set on the VRT 350... but I can't seem to find out where the machine is manufactured. Would you happen to know? Thanks in advance!
I juice celery in the VRT all the time. It does fine, IF you prepare the produce properly, as I show at

I just went and purchased the omega 8006 because of your video and I have the centrifugal breville juicer but it spits out the kale just like you said. I juiced 3 bunches purple kale and it only yielded 10oz of juice in the breville. How much juice do you get from 1 bunch of kale on the omega 8006?
what can you do with the pulp
would it be better to use a food processor with an s blade to chop greens up first?
John what is your opinion one the green star elite which won is the best between all of juicers? If you want to do the combination of fruits & vegetables?
John, there are a lot of different answers on how long you can store fresh green juice for. What is your recommendation? I would like to be able to make enough juice for 48-72 hours in advance.
what do you feel about the jack la lane power juicer
Love my 8006! but unfortunately the juicing screen broke and I cant find that part anywhere. Omegas website has them on backorder. Know of any places where I can buy an 8006 juicing screen?
what about twin gear? I think they best with leafy greens.
Thanks John. I misunderstood.
Thanks for the effort. I learned a lot.
Thanks John! I have the Omega 8004 and I love it!
the VRT350 is made in Korea. I do have a video where I visited the factory at

Why no Greenstar? Are you just comparing single augers?
I was going to purchase the 8006, but read several negative reviews at Amazon talking about plastic from the auger getting scraped into the juice? Is this true for all those machines, or just random defective ones?
depends on what you are juicing. I for one, would rather have the vrt any day, because its electric and will work much quicker. On wheatgrass, the zstar will win.. On something like oranges, the vrt will win.. Its better to compare the 8006 to the vrt as they are both electric models. Please see my other videos on this comparison.
thank you for this video John, but if you add one or two green apples it tastes better.
