I bought a VSJ843 from John a while back but keep my 8004 for certain things. Juice spinach and use it to replace the water in a fresh pasta recipe. The horizontal auger juicers have blanks and caps for making pasta. You can make something really special.

Thanks again John! I currently have the NC800 model. I’m starting a food prep business based on plant based foods and juices. I’ve been thinking it’s time to upgrade. My juice recipes are leafy greens based and fruit. Which juicer would you recommend for juicing green juice recipes mostly and juicing fruit recipes? Is green star best in terms of quality of juice and yield for leafy greens and kuvings for fruit and other recipes?

I spoke to the Sales Rep today, and they told me the NC1000 is made in China, and the NC800/900 is made in Korea.
Is there a "made in korea" version of this?

If I remember correctly, the omega horizontal juicers used to have a stainless steel first stage screen and the plastic around the edge was breaking so they went to plastic. Not sure why they decided to go back to the steel idea.
I hope you wouldn't mind me asking an unrelated question. Although wood mulch or tree branches has high carbon and low nitrogen, is it safe to use ONCE it does break down and turn blackish for making soil for let's say planting new grass or gardening?

This machine will basically works just like the NC800, so will not take down the Green Star Elite in terms of yield, but blows it away for cleaning.
Do you think the parts would be interchangeable with an older unit in case you wanted to upgrade to like the all stainless steel etc.
Hi John, could you recommend me a good juicer for a little bit of everything! I like to juice greens and coconut milk and orange juice. Those are the juices that make the most. But I'm still doing it by hand!!! I'm starting to get tired. But I need one mainly for veggies, coconut milk, and orange juice!!! :)

I purchased this juicer 3 months ago......It has broken down twice since then. The black plastic parts...nozzle...keeps breaking when juicing.

I am confused between vertical and horizontal slow juicers. Which one should I buy? Omega or Hurom? Vertical or Horizontal? I would like to juice leafy greens such as kale, celery, and fruits as well such as oranges, apples etc. I am looking for easy cleaning and hi yield of juice for both fruit and veg. Please help me with recommendations. Thank you
I bought the NC1000 in March 2020. I registered it and within two weeks the feeding basket broke, they sent another part, and then the locking mechanism broke. They sent a lesser model saying they would send me a new NC1000 when they came in. I have emailed to the original complaint at least 10 times now, with no response. I had recommended mine in the first week to two of my family members, and theirs broke too. We cannot even find the locking part on the website to even purchase so we can use our juicers. This was six months ago, no one answers. What does a 15 yr warranty mean if they refuse to return a request. So disappointed because I loved my juicer.
This worries me.

This is impressive. Most juicers would not survive such a jungle juice. I imagine that tastes horrible but the juicing itself is impressive!

@@Lord.is.the.solution Supposedly there is a defect in the NC1000, that being said I have one with extra parts now, and I do like the way it works. They are supposed to fix it, but, parts are made in china, so...there is jet lag. Hope that helps. the NC800 series is just as good. I have one of each

If you juice beets with this juicer will it break the machine?
Hi John, is the feed chute size the same as the NC800/900 series? Can the feeding tray be removed? The auger and juicing screen looks identical to that of the 8007/8008 series(also made in China). It seems you also had some pulp bypass the juicing screen just past the first crushing stage, i.e. same 'problem' as I have with my 8008 juicer.
Feed chute is same size as NC800. Feed Chute is Fixxed. Screen and auger identical to 8007/8008. Yes, there was pulp infiltration.

Hi John. I just purchased the NC900HDSS. I didn't know they recently came out with an NC1000 version. In your opinion, should I upgrade from the NC900HDSS to the NC1000 ? It is still in the box. I haven't opened it yet.
NC900HDSS was discontinued as far as I am aware. I have not tested the nc800/nc900 to the nc1000 yet. Each model has its own set of pros and cons.

How well can this machine make ginger shots for home?
When I put it on Setting 3, while using it it keeps inching toward Setting 2 and 1. Is this normal or just my machine?
It happens to me as well, must be normal but it shouldn't be.

what's the name of this giant parsley, like if you go to buy seeds, what do you ask for ?
Not sure. I grew flat leaf in my garden, and it went to seed and now it just grows in my garden. When it goes to seed, it gets really tall, which is why mine was tall.
Italian flat leaf parsley. When you buy it at the store they've just taken all those little stems off the top and throw the big stalks away.
@@discountjuicers tall is one thing, but it's also really thick and the leaves are really big, looks like lovage or celery, mine also goes to 1.5 m when flowering but it has a small leaf and small stem

It's a nice juicer but doesn't look like much of an upgrade from the NC800 apart from the stainless steel in the screen. I believe it's made in China?
Made in Korea at the Omega/Hurom factory. I wouldn't trade in an nc800 for one, but If I was looking to buy a horizontal juicer for the first time it has some nice features.

Omega NC1000HDS juicer sucks, I took 5 back because of the treads shearing off at the endcap and drum. I went down to the 900. Ir's rocked for a year now.

Wheatgrass is a challenge with this machine and there is too much pulp.
Bring back the long hair!
Don't buy this juicer (Omega 365). Front loader is plastic and breaks easily. Mine broke in just over 30 days and Omega is less than helpful at sending a replacement part (I sent them photos and my receipt). BTW the replacement part isn't even available (guessing it's because it breaks easily). Buy Breville. Much better juicer with similar price (at Bed Bath and Beyond with 20% coupon).
