I drop the beans, the cooling fans usually cool them within 1-2 minutes. If you keep the dump chute closed it holds most heat. After I click end roast, reset, and start heating, its ready to go within a minute or two usually.
I liked the video. Have you tried to pipe the exhaust to stove extractor fan. Just curious if that will work. I live in the northeastern part of the US and am trying to figure out how I would roast in the winter.
We are going to begin selling adapters that fit to a 3” metal vent pipe. I do not roast in my house because too much smell. Our vent hood is the filter style and does not exhaust outdoors. I roast in my garage with the vent tube under a cracked garage door
@@portakeeperI’m between the tablet version and the tablet with Artisan version of the M1. I will just starting to roasting at home, do you think it will be enough just the tablet version with the Kaleido app? Or it will be better buy instead the one with the Artisan app?
@@Isilrrond I really prefer Artisan personally but the tablet does offer a level of simplicity. If you think you want to use artisan I’d get the dual. I know a lot of people that really like the tablet only because it’s easy to do roasts that way.
Thanks for the video! How is the transition into the next batch for back to back roasts?

can it pump the exhaust outside through a tube like the gene cafe? do you think Would someone with asthma might be able to roast inside?
Can be pumped outside more or less. I never recommend roasting inside
I’m looking this one for roasting at my apartment but can you tell me if the smoke will be a lot to do it inside?
It will be a lot. I recommend exhausting outside
