85K base for this suv is steep. Why would i spend 85K for this (unless im in love with styling for some reason), when i could have two Kia EV6s/Ionic 5s or MG4s (with left over money) or even other EVs? Kias Ev6 looks way better in my opinion, it has a really nice interior, drives beautifully and i dont need to sell kidneys.
110 KWH with 610 KM range? Sounds like it's not very efficient. Not sure it will do so well here in Australia where we're getting some great and affordable models from China like the BYD Seal.
I plan to upgrade my P2 to the P4 when it comes to US (?). With the exception of no rear window, I prefer most of design elements of the P4 including the horizontal screen. However, rear seat space is bigger in the P3; also, not sure if the P4 will get LIDAR?
You might be surprised the P4 has the same, if not more, legroom in the rear. But also, the P3 has a short thigh support where I wasn't able to sit comfortably. Check it out if you can
I love the front wing and how it gives that strong front nose look. I believe the large faced pickup trucks might want to consider that design in their future styling as well. Piano black should be outlawed for any vehicle use!!! Tommy and Alex work very great together. Well done guys!
Piano black is beautiful. If you don’t like it go to wrapper company. They wrap lt for not much money. Polestar is amazing. I have piano black and it’s nothing I even think about.
Build on a Volvo platform is confirmed safety for you and the family. Then a Polestar design and beautiful build. Amazing cool car! If you have polestar you will have eyes on you all over the world!!!
Nice looking exterior design, love that, but again another Tesla interior coppycat......Polestar, for that kind of money you needed to be at leasat original. Plus built in China and asking $80000 base price......not even considering test driving.....
Couple of clueless reviewers!! Do some research before reviewing a car. Sterring column is power adjustable via screen. Bowers & Wilkins started in Volvo cars and is in all models apart from 40 series cars as an option or standard!
Also the vertical screen looks way better. WAY cleaner looking. Personally I think it is the way to go. Who really is going to sit there and watch movies or whatever. Not many people and not for long. If you can watch a TH-cam video on your tiny phone, I’m sure this 14.5” screen will do just fine
Polestar 4 is the odd man out with the horizontal screen because it is based on the Zeekr001 and not a Polestar framework. You'll also notice the buttons, switch gear are different on it and aren't like Volvo as in this car. The other Polestars should have portrait center consoles. I think the 3 is very elegant but I dislike the piano black console and don't know why Polestar chose to use it. That same area on the EX90 is wood. The steering wheel adjustment is power now, first for Volvo/Polestar. Gold seat belts are for the dynamic package but they're actually on Volvo S60 and XC60 Polestar models as well along with the gold brake calipers. Alex is right in that Polestar wants the car to be a Porsche Cayenne competitor. However, I don't hear them mention Tesla much at all in their promotional material. An X has just way more power, at least in its most powerful form as well as a 3rd row, gull wing doors and such. Much more expensive. It's not meant to be that much of a utility vehicle in terms of storage capacity, it's meant to be sporty. It's the sporty Swedish/Scandinavian design brand vs. Volvo, the more relaxed, I guess more family-oriented one. Good job on the review. I want to see road reviews and there are a few out now on prototypes. But hopefully, this car is out mid 2024 to customers.
I just spent 10 days with a Polestar 2 and the screen (and software) was fine. As long as there is a driver display as well (i.e., not a Tesla 3/Y), it's not so bad.
If you build yours smartly, the price can be pretty reasonable for what you get. The only thing I chose not to get are the leather, LiDAR, and trailer hitch. Those 3 options saves me something like $17,000 Canadian. Mine came out to $107,000+tax Canadian which is WAY less then any Audi etron q8 or BMW IX. And performance wise, tech wise, styling I think the polestar 3 is for sure the way to go. This thing will drive like a dream. That’s why I had no issue putting money down super early. And unlike fisker, polestar / Volvo is waiting until the vehicle / new platform is totally ready before launching it.
Looks really good. Horsepower crazy for EV. I like the wood in an EV, I do like luxury and it does give the premium . I want 3 row . And back looking eh. Any other exterior colors? White BORING. For me
It's a decent looking car/suv and I still think it's crazy that when Pontiac came out with the Aztec so many ppl hated it but now with the way all these new suvs/cars are looking almost like the Aztec.
With Volvo backing I guess they can afford to price that vehicle so high, I know it got some expensive tech but they have to deliver a cheaper vehicle. GM going to have SUV EVs to be cheaper than that and so will Kia. Also, Tesla model Y still has a better range and so do the model X.
Stop saying Alex so much. Rear seats are too low and too short. The logo and writing makes it a no sale. No way I'd buy a car with instruction permanently written on it.
They really need to have more service centers to entice people at this price point. The closest one to me (Park City) is Denver. That was a deal breaker (I had an order in and canceled after thinking about that). Maybe if they open a center in SLC I’ll put another order in. Otherwise, seems pretty great.
I have a certified polestar dealer 5 minutes from my house. I’m just outside Toronto Canada. More and more will pop up to. People need to shut up about being made in China. So many bmw’s VW Tesla MG etc are made in China. The new lotus Eletre is made in China to. People need to shut up about this topic. It’s a waste of time. Labour is way cheaper there. And the Chinese are known now for production. Wake up and shut up.
To be honest guys love you video's, but not interested in anything battery operated. Battery operated items we leave to the grand kids and there toys where batteries belong . I Have no idea what the future is for EV's . But I think it will resemble the dinosaurs . . Happy trails
Interesting concept. Crazy weather out there, but it's nothing to do with all the gas and diesel powered cars and trucks on the road. OK. Take a look at what they've done in Norway. Big distances, lots of cold weather. The government decided not to tax EVs and people bought them. Air pollution has gone down. They've got plenty of chargers, even in the north. The dinosaurs on the road there are the old gas and diesel vehicles. It will take longer in North America, but EVs aren't going anywhere, despite the stories spread by the oil and gas industry. it took a while to go from a horse and buggy to a model T too, but they did it!
Auto dealers like more profit from ICE powered cars. Polestar doesn't do dealers. Maybe try one before playing the 'Big Lie' card. Ever notice that the people telling the biggest whoppers are the first to accuse others?

Different type of car. This is a sporty vehicle and a higher level technically than the EV6.

Looks okay, but the price is huge. The top end will be six figures - do they think they are a US truck? 😉

LiDAR will come out on all polestar but will be later production. So gotta put it in in your order.
I got my polestar 2 2024 that I will upgrade to polesta 4 when it arrives. Already done my order on it 😁❤️
I got Tesla but I’m upgrading to a polestar 3 or 4!!! Can’t wait to get my order done this week that comes. Love this!

I like portrait. I think horizontal goes too wide and extends the reach where vertical is more like a car, keeps the controls stacked.
@@benjaminsmith2287facts love it.

Zeekr001 is actually fairy nice but few people know about it outside China.
Great video guys!!! Glad to see you both make a video together.
The big screens are so stupid. The glare, the inability to easily do anything you need to do, the need to take your eyes completely off the road…
I just spent 10 days with a Polestar 2 and the screen (and software) was fine. As long as there is a driver display as well (i.e., not a Tesla 3/Y), it's not so bad.

$84K, great look, nice materials, very roomy...and they could not put in designated rear window buttons. Seriously.

Glue a nice piece of genuine leather over that ridiculous virtue signaling label on the seat 😊

Developed by Volvo in Gothenburg. Will be made in China and in the US. The Polestar 4 is more of a Chinese breed as it is based on a Geely-platform.

It's not Chinese. It's Swedish and looks very much like a Swedish car.

Some people want a vehicle made in their own country, it is unfortunate you choose not to understand this.
