    Nice look around Derek. I would probably go for the 4 over the 3 as it is a nicer finished car and probably more efficient and better range not to mention the price difference IMO.

    I am a little surprised that for two cars from the same company, released at the same time there are so many design differences. How can the window controls be different? A little odd.

      2 nearly totally different cars with different price points etc. They definitely are not just doing a Russian doll on it

      PS3 developed by Volvo on Spa2 with the EX90, PS4 developed by Geely on Zea2.5 along with the Zeekr 001

      The Polesatr 3 is a true sister car to the Volvo EX90. It uses the same switchgear as the EX90. The Polestar 4 is a reskinned Zeekr001 and uses some Zeekr switchgear and a bit of Volvo switchgear but uses Volvo interior materials.

    3 has more room but prefer 4's frameless doors, door handle, bigger driver display and landscape central display and is cheaper.. so definitely the 4 for me 😅😅😅

    Whats the difference between the Polestar 4 and the Zeekr 007?

    • @benjaminsmith2287
      @benjaminsmith2287 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very different. The Zeekr007 is on a completely different framework and I think is a lower price point.

    P3 is a bit expensive. I could just about afford a bog spec P4 but I think I'll wait for the P7 to replace my P2 in a few years. Both super cars.

      @pato10111 How is the P2 ownership experience? Did you only drive it around town or were you used to go inter-city drives? Do you think the savings of fuel/tax breaks etc have amortized the cost of the car and that of your future car? Sorry if it seems a bit interogative of me 🤣but I'm just curios. Looking to buy my P2 as well

      @@Cell_Central I live in the country and use it primarily to commute to and from work on the motorway. It's around a 170km round trip and I use my home charger for this. It's the best car and car brand I've owned to date. The finance plan was very attractive when I bought it but everyone is offering a good APR rate now. Running costs like any EV are very low.

    A very useful comparison, thank you.
    Polestar have done one thing which is really smart which is use Android Auto rather than develop their own. My problem is that has led them into the Tesla trap of everything on a rather ugly iPad on the dashboard. Otherwise both Polestars have great design. My next problem is that they are really not worth the money. If you take the Polestar 4 there are other cars using the Geely platform which are just so much better value, so even at €60k I would not touch it. If you take the Minis on BMW’s platform the balance between what they do with buttons and what is on their round OLED display is just so much better, and again I probably do not have to spend €60k. I suspect the Mini is also the better drive. If I want a Geely platform there are also Smarts.

    • @Cell_Central
      @Cell_Central 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's cheaper to develop software rather than build placement spots and engineer buttons, and that money goes toward a better engineered drive-train. I like my buttons as well but i can get around a tablet knowing that I get a better drive. True I don't like it when manufacturers do this to save money for themselves but I feel like polestar really offers in value. I doubt you will find any smart or mini with as much range as a polestar. I hope when the tech becomes more accessible we will get physical buttons though.

    • @pato10111
      @pato10111 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Cell_Central The old debate between BlackBerry and iPhone often spills over into discussions about car infotainment systems. Some argue that countless physical buttons and knobs in a car are unnecessary if the vehicle has an adequately sized screen with an intuitive infotainment system, similar to what we find in Polestar or Tesla models. Admittedly, not many brands can match the seamless infotainment experience offered by these brands. However, Polestar strikes a balance by incorporating necessary switches and knobs alongside convenient shortcut buttons on the screen.

    Nice review, I do like the Polestar design. The one thing that keeps me in a Tesla is 'dog mode'. Do these cars have 'dog mode'? or planned? Thanks

    315mils for P3(US market) vs 270mils for P4.
    Although the 4 starts at a lower price point by the time you had the features to make equivalent with the 4, it comes out to just barely $3k less. Again, US market.
    It's not really a contest. Get the 3 over the 4.
