The ubiquitous triangular quarter window at the C-pillar. I have trendy designs. Gigantic rear wiper that could easily have been hidden behind the gigantic rear spoiler. Why not Polestar? The rear seat is far too low for taller people, but there's lots of head room so they could raise it by an inch or so.
Love this EV design and will be putting in a deposit soon. Way nicer than Tesla MY IMO. It has wireless Apple Play and there is an under-trunk area that is surprisingly large.
Yikes - the wheel/tires are mismatched front/rear? It's not "sad" the roof doesn't open -- sunroofs are just maintenance headaches. How does this compare to the XC40/C40?
Props to Polestar for fixing the cupholder issue in the 2, and for keeping physical vent controls! The trend of moving vent controls to the screen is stupid and unnecessary, glad not everyone is following that dumb trend. Minus points for only 2 window switches, another dumb trend.
Ehh it has a 111kwh battery. I assume range is a bit conservative. Problem is Polestar is suppose to be a more luxurious brand than Volvo so prices have to be higher. This car ends up looking like an electric XC60 though. It makes you feel like it should be a 60K car.
Why should it start around 50k USD? You should compare it to the Q8 etron and BMW iX. Comparing specs, it's actually not that overpriced at all. I had a chance to sit in the P3 and actually had to choose in this higher bracket of company cars. I went with the P3 because it actually gives a lot more than the Q8 etron for example.

They have not separated themselves from Polestar. Volvo will continue to service Polestars, develop cars with Volvo, share personnel with Polestar and continue to build the Polestar 3 in a Volvo plant and others to follow. The only difference is Volvo has defunded Polestar so that Geely, who has much deeper pockets, can fund them. But Volvo is in no way separate from Polestar.

This has way more interior space for passengers than an XC60. If you want more interior space, then the Polestar 3's sister, the Volvo EX90, is the car for you. You pay 77K for sophistication and handling and build quality. That's what you pay money for in expensive vehicles.

The problem is people saying this car is "too expensive" don't understand this is a premium performance brand, not a budget brand or a mainstream brand. This is their flagship, not a middle-level offering. This car is properly priced for what it offers.

The reason why the finances were down was due to the delay of the Polestar 3. They've been a one-car company for a few years now. But soon they'll have 2 crossovers out and crossovers are hot sellers. I don't know where you are located to quote such prices. I was going by US prices and some prices in Europe. Of course Mercedes is an established car but Polestar is sportier and has a different type of style. Look for the reviews of the car. Some initial reviews are very positive on its level of refinement, driving dynamics and ride comfort.

I saw the Polestar 2 in person the other day, in video it looks great but in person it looked awful. This car might end up being in the same position for me.
How does it mess with the interior space? The only thing that's compromised a little is the trunk space. Everyone that has sat in the P3 agrees that there's plenty of room in the front and back.

Who manages this brand and decides the sourcing for it? Who block chains these materials. If you were to look into that, at the teams of people that did this work, you'll know they were all in Polestar's headquarters in Sweden, not in China. Just because a Chinese company owns this brand doesn't mean that a Chinese team of engineers and designers created this vehicle nor does it mean that the people running the company are Chinese. Polestar is an established Swedish racing car company that tuned Volvos for years. Now they are making cars under their own name but they are spun off from Volvo and have the same roots as Volvo. Tesla has a plant in China. So does Volkswagen. Polestar will make cars in South Korea soon and the USA soon and also Belgium in a few years. Where a plant is doesn't necessarily mean where a product is formed, developed or executed. Geely is an excellent owner because they didn't intend on turning a Swedish car maker into a Chinese one and in the case of Lotus, an English car Chinese. They benefit by having access to their technology and are sharing some technologies, but the brands are infused with cash to develop their own products.

If you put the rear wiper blade up too by the rear spoiler it would block air flow and make the drag worse

@@smallz2495 You need to do your homework. It's not a Chinese EV. Who designed the interior and exterior? Who picked the materials that go into this car? Who did the chassis tuning on this car? Who manages this brand and decides the sourcing for it? Who block chains these materials. If you were to look into that, at the teams of people that did this work, you'll know they were all in Polestar's headquarters in Sweden, not in China. Just because a Chinese company owns this brand doesn't mean that a Chinese team of engineers and designers created this vehicle nor does it mean that the people running the company are Chinese. Polestar is an established Swedish racing car company that tuned Volvos for years. Now they are making cars under their own name but they are spun off from Volvo and have the same roots as Volvo.
Tesla has a plant in China. So does Volkswagen. Polestar will make cars in South Korea soon and the USA soon and also Belgium in a few years. Where a plant is doesn't necessarily mean where a product is formed, developed or executed.
Geely is an excellent owner because they didn't intend on turning a Swedish car maker into a Chinese one and in the case of Lotus, an English car Chinese. They benefit by having access to their technology and are sharing some technologies, but the brands are infused with cash to develop their own products.

The also haven't looked at the Made in XXX label on every appliance they own. Including clothing.
This car will be made in the USA. But I don't think it'll be any better built than the ones made in China. The quality of this car is excellent.
@@benjaminsmith2287 Launch Editions are currently being built in China. The US factory won't start building the P3s for a few more months. But I agree with you, there will probably be no difference in build quality between locations.
