Great choice. Polestar is amazing cool car. Can’t wait to get hand on my 2024 Polestar 2 in 2 weeks. I got a Tesla 3 at the moment and can’t wait for my upgrade. Also put a order in for the P4 ❤️
To everyone going off in the comments about the sports key battery: it is replaceable, you can prise it open and it takes a CR2032 i believe. Its just not waterproof afterwards, and you need to either glue it shut again, or put it in a sleeve of shrink wrap. If you replace the battery it continues to work, there's nothing in software to prevent it continuing to work (like some early bluetooth tiles use to do!). The big keys slides open to access the battery. And you can use your phone as a key, so when the sports key goes flat you aren't stuck wherever you happen to be.
What a great review - both content and delivery. None of the fluff and pretentiousness. Straight to the point. I feel confident buying a used car from you. And you got me thinking about the Polestar, which I haven't before. Keep up the great work and will be following your channel.
Excellent. Thank you. The Polestar reminds me of my old Saab 9000 Aero. The seats in my old Aero were probably as good as seats could be made for a car IMO. Personally the Polestar seats while not quite as good as my old Aero, are way more comfortable compared to the Model Y. This is important for anyone with lower back ‘issues’.

I can confirm that the Polestar 2 TPMS system works *very* quickly when there is a puncture. I had a puncture and was notified immediately. I pulled over after 1/4 mile (soonest possible) and the tire was still partially inflated and it finished deflating while I watched it, so it must have detected the puncture after a couple of pounds of loss.

IMHO there is a lot to recommend about the Polestar 2. I think it is especially attractive to those more conservative motorists moving to an EV because the Polestar very much shares the attributes that we expect from a Volvo - good build, sensible design and comfort. Compared with the Tesla Model 3 it also has the flexibility of a rear hatch. SatNav and Infotainment system intuitive and being Google software is fast. The system is not the most sophisticated and annoyingly the car has buttons to access functions that are not available on the lower spec models. Very good value as a used buy as you don’t risk the iffy paint and build quality on (older) Tesla Model 3’s. A sensible if not exciting choice.

@@sandersson2813 let’s make a law that Polestar has to replace the defunct keys at their cost instead of passing this hidden costs to their customers! 😅
The large main key has a replaceable battery. You can have a digital key that works with your mobile phone. Only the smaller buttonless activity key battery can’t be replaced. If you’re under warranty the activity key may be replaced if it’s only a dead battery and not user damage.

It can't use tesla superchargers... that's all that matters. 😂

Late April 2024 changes that.
£114 for new key every two years and you’re not kidding! Rip off Polestar
You can use phone.
@@sandersson2813 cars need to be resold with original keys. Whole life cost of running a vehicle is important
@@trick700 Yes I know, i was simply saying that the phone can be seen as an additional key (not that you should be expected to carry a phone at all times)
I do think it's incredibly mean of Polestar to only give one proper main key, after all the savings made by just giving one key cannot be all that great, and it is unacceptable they make you pay for a new activity key or don't make one which cant be recharged.
@@sandersson2813 let’s make a law that Polestar has to replace the defunct keys at their cost instead of passing this hidden costs to their customers! 😅
If you’re under manufacturer warranty the activity fob may be replaced provided it’s not failed due to damage or user misuse.
FFS that is OUTRAGEOUS about the keys not having replaceable batteries.
The large main key has a replaceable battery. You can have a digital key that works with your mobile phone. Only the smaller buttonless activity key battery can’t be replaced. If you’re under warranty the activity key may be replaced if it’s only a dead battery and not user damage.
This alone would make the whole brand a non-starter for me.

Would Polestar bankruptcy make the car useless?
Yes bankruptcy by Monday... Because 55,000 cars sold a year is not enough... With a little profit margin by 5 or 10%. Dump it. 🤔
Don't believe everything you read in the Daily Mail lol. They are fine, they have released a statement addressing the fearmongerers.
I think they're affiliated with Volvo. Bankruptcy doesn't mean going out of business also I don't think the car will stop running
@@susand9296😂 Volvo have cut all funding and stated definitively they wouldn’t be supporting the existing fleet of cars past 2027.
So what was it you were saying about them being fine? How does an electric car (that’s entirely reliant on software to run essential functions) continue to operate when the parent company that manufactures and maintains them disappears?
The things EV loonies will say to justify their absurd waste of money 😂
@@rp9674they aren’t being supported with any new software or updates, they’re telling you in no uncertain terms your car is a brick in 3 years 😂

The only thing anyone needs to know is Volvo are no longer supporting this brand anymore. EV’s are dead, nobody wants them.
Have Volvo decided to drop all of their Volvo branded EVs? - I don't think they're quite dead yet!
This is utter nonsense
2:06 it's sealed from the elements. Replaceable battery would be nice but even a good battery case seal could fail in pool/boat/beach etc.
