Looks really nice. It’s a sister car to the Volvo EX90. I think it would look mega in black.
I ordered a polestar 3 performance No leather though. I went with the black interior with the Bio-attributed MicroTech, and the sick aluminum dash. To me, the wood looks kinda old man. The black seats with the aluminum looks so sleek. I’m coming from a GMC Sierra. I have no need for a giant pick up truck anymore

Yeah, it's crazy, but atleast in Sweden, the home of Polestar, most of these will not be owned by private individuals, but of companies. Since it's fully electric the tax benefits is quite good.

I just saw a Polestar 3 at the Polestar space in Boston, Massachusetts here in the United States. The Polestar 3 is actually assembled here in America
I''ve owned a lot of Volvo wagons (currently drive one too) and the Polestar 3 is the next car for me because even though they like to call it an SUV, to me it's the electric successor to Volvo's offroading Cross Country wagons. One of my favorite cars ever is the Volvo V90 Cross Country, but which sadly doesn't even come with a hybrid drivetrain, so the Polestar 3 is basically filling that gap.
I was there before Christmas to check out the car. Looks great. Very nice design and space in the car. Decided to buy a BMW iX instead unfortunately but definitely give a Polestar a look when changing next. The Polestar Team in Sandyford was excellent too!

Fine looking vehicle just a pity it's got an ouch price 😂 tag. Spotted 2 camouflaged cars in West Cork Thursday 9th November, 1 looks like it's an estate didn't get a good look at the 2nd model but seemed to be chaperoned by 2 grey Audi SUV's and a white VW id4. Any ideas on upcoming launches that may explain them.
Could be anything, lots of brands come to Ireland to test pre production vehicles.

Is it silly to want the Performance Package just for the yellow seatbelts.
When paying this amount I'd rather spend a bit more for the EX90. EX90 will be delivered with the optional Lidar sensor next year whereas Lidar won't be available on the PS3 until 2025

Polestar 3 has no competition now in terms of looks.
By the looks of it and its mahoosive size and bulk, I'd hazard a guess of 20 to 25kWh per 100km, or a range of about 500km, so a bit of an ev guzzler maybe?
For that performance, generally around that would be the norm alright.
It's very nice, but having the screen upright is very uncomfortable.
My biggest gripe with the PS2 was the raised centre console ‘bezel’ which would just get in the way of my left knee.
Looks to be a flatter centre console without the raised bezel on this model, did you notice any discomfort against your knee here?

I'm in the US, would probably wait on purchasing one of these until they switch over to the NACS charger in 2025

@@NobbyOnCars nah.....rwd long range with the few essential extras €69k with leather and €65k with that neoprene like interior.
The Irish site hasn't got the 2024 upgrade model either.....so probably a bit dearer.

One thing I don't understand is why the car manufacturers think it is cool to have a tablet like dashboard/ infotainment? Is looking like an old car with a tablet in a car holder ffs. Why can't they make everything look built in.
When v40 and s60 came out without a touch screen, Volvo said it is an extra feature to prevent the driver being distracted from driving when touching the screen, now everything is on the damn screen. How many times you tried to push a physical button and you missed, imagine on a touch screen. 😂

@@NobbyOnCars Polestar says this vehicle competes with the Porsche Cayenne. Polestar's volume cars are the 2 and maybe the 4.

Pay 100 ish a month on diesel,280 tax, 350 insurance
That’s €152 a month.
Every ev I’ve looked at to match my a6 is minimum 600 a month, to travel less and keep my air on off

Gosh Nobby, you are a busy boy lately. Do enjoy your reviews. This car does look good inside and out. I am sure they will have good sales numbers - definitely expensive but so is BMW and Mercedes and looks just as good. To my mind a nicer interior than the BMW. Great size battery and I am sure range would be worth the extra money too.
On first glance, very nice machine. Interior really lovely. Just driving dynamics next but won’t be until mid 2024 unless I’m asked on an international drive!

Not sure about the wireless charger being small. You have the biggest phone in the world. I have an iPhone 12 and it had a boat load of room. 99.5% of people will have no issue

It's BIG! Massive! Yet another EV SUV..hmmm? That said Volvo.... Polestar are without doubt leaders in this field. Certainly an outstanding piece of Swedish[ Chinese] of EV engineering. And yes it will make the execs at Porsche and Audi break out in a sweat! More importantly Polestar is so far ahead of Tesla.... a brand that would not know quality and design if spelt out to them! And certainly not owned by a mad man ...did someone mention Elon Musk?

This is not a Chinese engineered car. The SPA2 platform is engineered by Volvo and pretty much all of the teams that worked on this car are European or Americans located in Sweden. Some cars may be built in China but for the USA market, they'll be built in the USA. So, I don't know where people are getting the notion this is Chinese. The SEA based Polestar 4 has a bit more China in it but that also has a lot of Sweden as the Zeekr001 it was based on was designed in Sweden. And even the SEA platform was cheif engineered by a Swede named Kent Ove Bovellan that Geely hired. In fact, Geely likes to hire Europeans and are expanding their operation beyond China.

Volvo is 82% owned by geely which in turns ownes Polestar. It's pretty much all Chinese
@@ciybersal3499 You know, this Polestars are made in China is supposed to mean what? Teslas are made in China. Teslas are made in Germany. Audis are made in Mexico. Mercedes are made in the USA. Polestar just announced that there will be some Polestars made in South Korea and it's been announced a long time ago that Polestar is going to make the Polestar 3 in the USA for the North American market. Where a car is constructed has nothing to do with the country responsible for its specs, design, heritage, etc.
Go watch the Polestar Day presentation that's one hour long and then you'll learn just how much Polestar is a Swedish and not a Chinese company. Owned by doesn't make Polestar Chinese. Geely is the parent company and is not Polestar. Polestar is its own company supported by its parent company.
@@ciybersal3499that’s not completely correct. Polestar has a factory in Charleston, South Carolina USA where Polestar 3 and Volvo EX90 are being produced for the USA and EU market.
Sorry it’s in Ridgeville South Carolina and not Charleston.

The Polestar 4 is landscape mode. The others are portrait. And it's not dumb to do your own thing. I see no advantage in horizontal vs. vertical. In vertical you may have to look too far down but in landscape/horiozntal, you may have to go too far to the right. The point is to drive so this isn't a look at the screen constantly type of usage. It's supposed to emulate a console and function so what usability study says landscape is "smarter"?

Just a screen buddy. I think most Gen Z and millennials(and even some X’ers) obsess over the dashboard tech rather than the car itself. The truth is the cars are becoming blander and profits margins are increasing for manufacturers as screens are bolted on and premiums then charged. Individual design language is reduced and logical availability of physical buttons.
Polestar 3 supposed ro be a luxury car. Its my nr 1 car. But is don't like that they cal it a luxury car, because the only lux about it is the esthetics. If it were to be a luxury car the would need to look at what Mercedes is doing functionally. Polestar 3 i a crossover SUV. And lack back space. Too much focus on the branding. And it works, but in the long runn looks can only get you so far. It's the same with women. My father said.
Hard to make an argument to buy this ev. I just got my R1S last month totaling 83,000.00 delivered. How is this vehicle 100,000$+? Slower, half the horsepower , seats only 5, not off road capable, smaller battery, less range , less storage, and by far the fastest depreciating car brand ever 🤷♂️.
It’s WAYYY better thought through and designed than Rivian. You can list all the pen and paper attributes you want, but Polestar makes absolutely sublime electric machines. Try one out sometime, it sounds like you might be surprised 😮

Polestar’s parent company Geely is one of China’s 5 independent companies so it’s not CCP.
Just what the world needs - another electric SUV. A ridiculous sized battery, a heavyweight 2.6T with a crazy price to match. This is NOT being enviromentally friendly by any stretch of the imagination, and this car will not save the planet. Funny how Polestar have just announced they're scaling back production to concentrate on the high end/high margin market, and looking at this 'car', I can believe it.
Would rather see people buy a fossil fuel SUV? Everyone won’t buy an Kia niro
