- Today we're sewing a color wash patchwork quilt pattern using leftover scraps! It's a very quick and easy sewing project that even a beginner can make it!
This is the easiest quilt block ever, made out of fabric scraps without any pattern needed.

Some of you guessed it, we're doing a color wash quilt today. This is the most free flow quilt pattern I've ever done! Have you ever tried it?
This is exactly the kind of project I love. No elaborate plan, just having fun with your sewing and see where it goes.
Exactly! Just having fun and getting in the flow. I don't do that enough...
I have seen other people sew these blocks, but you are having more fun! I might have to get up and make some, lol!
I had a blast doing this, I really do recommend it! 😀
I made one these couple years ago when Terry Rowland put this technique out so fun and simple.
This is the Terry Rowland color wash quilt. I've made several of these in wall quilt sizes. Love them.
😀 I'd love to see them! So they truly are as addictive as I suspected hehehe
I sew 2 1/2” squares together for my start and Enders so before long you have enough to make a quilt block. This would be great idea to do also. Cute!
Love it! The smaller, the cutest!
@@seweasybysandy I see that quilter Lori Holt sews 2 1/2' squares as leaders and enders when making her blocks. It's a brilliant idea.
@@alicekalorian8043 they're very practical yes 😊
I loved the original version by @Terry Rowland, and the version that was made by @kateatthelasthomelyhouse .... your version is lovely and colourful
Sarah! Sorry I couldn't say you were right on the money when you commented, I didn't want to ruin the surprise. 😁 Yes, I've watched those videos, such inspiring ladies!
I definitely want to make one .... just need to finish a few wips first 😁
@@sarahjessop1856 I'm ignoring my wips at the moment 😁 this channel gives me the perfect excuse for that hehehe
Sounds like a good plan.... I've just ordered papers for two new epp projects but I suppose there's no harm in making a few blocks whilst I wait for them to arrive 🙃
@@sarahjessop1856 I agree! 😁
Beautiful !!!! Thank you for sharing this with Blessing to you and Everyone ❤❤🙏🙏
Thank you 😄
What a great low stress, relaxing way to sew. 😊
Agreed!
Love the happy attitude!
Thank you 😀
So whimsical & fun😊
Nice to give quilters who show techniques on You tube. Terry Rowland, a Canadian woman who does fantastic colorful work and used this block on line to create a color wash quilt from these three inch squares, followed by Kate from GB
Hi. Yes, I agree. I have a link to her video on the description and she has commented on this video too. 😊
Adorable ❤
Love love love it !!!!
This was great!!! 💗💗💗
Love the simplicity of this! I enjoy sewing crumbs together, planning to make a bolt of crumb material for bags. I think this would be a great one to make a bolt of material with to cover to commercial bags...thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you 😁 I'm new to crumbs but I'm loving it
Wow, I really like this quilt. I have been making quilts for a long time. More so since I retired 7 years ago. You have done a great job coming up with that pattern. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed week and 2024.
Hi! I'm so glad you've enjoyed it! It's not my pattern, if you'd like to check out the original, there's a link in the description that takes you to Terry's video. I really appreciate that, for you as well ❤️
@@seweasybysandy Thank you so much. I will check out her video.
I love this block! Some day I will do this. Right now I have 3 on the go.... so maybe next winter?? I have PLENTY of scraps!!!
Thanks and much peace to all. Love from Canada!
Hi! I prefer to have multiple projects going too, there's always something to do 😁 how's the weather in Canada? We're experiencing Summer temperatures here in Portugal
I’m doing this same block but with a 6” finished block!❤
That shows off much more fabric, they must be lovely 😍
This is so cute, I think this will be ne another scrap quilt I'll have to make. Thank you!
Hi Karin🌹🌹
How are you doing?
@@GeorgeMoore-eh1kr go away scammer. You will be reported.
Hi Sandy I have made so many of them and I haven't made enough to make a quilt yet mine are 3 inches very small. When I have finished I will show it.😊
3 inches! That's a lot of squares but it will look so lovely once you're done! Can't wait to see it 😄
@seweasybysandy I made a template for the strips and the squares, so all I have to do is cut long strips of the outside fabric then I use the template to cut them to size and I cut a lot of them while watching TV, then the next day I sew them all together.
@@giovannacasadio9600 that's even quicker! And it's such a fun, relaxed project... I'll definitely be making it again
Love it going to make me one😊
Let me know how it went
Beautiful thank you from Fate Texas
Hi Kay🌹🌹
How are you doing?
❤
Fun! Thanks so much for sharing these cute ideas. I always have scrap quilts going - this adds to the ideas for using it up and making do.
This was so much fun!
❤❤❤ I have been working on these off and on. I have them in a box. Im wanting to sew them in staggered columns and make a wall hanging for my staircase. I plan to include hand stitching on them.
Awesome! This is your sign to get back to them I guess 😉
Happy and magic!
Hi Kimberly🌹🌹
How are you doing?
Looks great. Love the simplicity of these blocks. Will have a go at this soon. Finishing a twisted rail fence quilt out of scaps that you inspired me to make after I saw your tutorial a little while ago. Desley🇦🇺
Hi Desley. I'm so happy to hear that 😁
love it so
Thank you ☺️
Ficou Linda!!!! Eu já fiz uma e acabei vendendo 😊 agora estou fazendo outra ❤
Num quilt grande fica ainda mais bonito ❤️
Looks like a temperature quilt

Hi! I have all the links for the products I use in the description. For the rotary cutter, the blades and the rulers. Have a great day!
Thanks to Terry Roland and Kate
Absolutely! Such inspiring ladies!! I could spend hours watching Kate do... Whatever, really! Her videos are so relaxing to watch. I actually found Terry's videos through Kate's.
