A homemade fishing rod rack that is very inexpensive, holds more Ross than what you can buy, is easy to repair/replace/modify. It uses a swimming pool noodle and a 1x4 or an old fence board.
I guess you mean using curtain rods to hold the pool noodles up. That might work! I hadn’t thought of that. I’m curious if that would allow the rods deep enough into the slits to hold them.
Thanks for your thoughts Christopher. The good news is you can mount it near the floor and easily fit 7.5’ rods with a 8’ ceiling. A high roofed building is not required. Another option might be to mount it sideways if you drill holes all the way through the bottom so the handles can pass through enough to stay.
Great job. I like the pool noodle modifications. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant! There should be a Nobel peace prize for this!
Well that may be a little extreme but I hope it’s helpful for you.
Thanks this gives me another idea for hanging my pool noodle curtain rods.

The pool noodle is an amazing idea. Thank you.
Great job...will work on my rack in the morning...back from Riggs Mt. Graham Az
I like how you flattened the back if the noodle. I have the volume
If you have a band saw it’s easy. Otherwise I’m not sure of another good way to do it.
Very good design and idea
Great idea! LOVE price expenditures !!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice idea.
Thank you
Doing this tonight!
That’s awesome
Looks great but most people don't have access to a warehouse with a high ceiling like that. Rods alone are 7' these days.

I’m so lazy I just used the pool noodle (no flat) and didn’t even make a bottom plate.
Awesome! You may have just improved the design!
What do u use to spray on the reels after U wash them down? Thanks

How do you make the holes on the bottom for the end of the rod to sit in? What tool?
I think I used a1.5” router bit on a Drill press.
Try a spade drill bit, whatever diameter will fit the rod butts.
@@edcastillo4456 I used a 1 1/4 in spade bit and it worked fine.
How do you cast all 19 at my time? Trolling?
