Just make sure it is a door you don't use often. the Opening and closing of the door will wear through the rod where it touches the brackets. Night want to use the polymer clps instead of the metal ones.
Thank you. I came to the comments to hopefully find somebody posting some damn sense! The second I saw this I thought "what a terrible idea to mount ANYTHING to the inside of a moving garage door!" All that unnecessary wear and tear to the poles, and to the extra weight added to the door itself is just dumb, even if it is only a few lbs. If your only goal is to mount them somewhere out of the way for semi-long term storage, why not just mount them to the joists on the ceiling ABOVE the garage door, where they won't be constantly moving/shaking around several times a day whenever someone comes or goes? This is just dumb logic to mount things to the inside of a moving garage door. Lol. Some people.
Yeah, GREAT idea! Hey, why not make it an even BETTER idea? Fishing poles are flexible, so why not mount them VERTICALLY to the inside of the garage door!?! That makes just about as much sense too!
Good one
Thanks

Good idea man. I will pass it on to husband.😊
Genius
That looks like it would tear those rods up with the garage door opening and closing. But the idea is good; just attach the holders to a wall!
I have a problem I have around 100 fishing rods. No lie wish I could post a picture.
I've never seen a garage door so beefed up...
Damn
🤣
Damn! Great idea!

Do not do this... drilling holes in your door will void all warranties.
That’s why I mentioned u can use those holes already there 🤣
