Be sure to offset the bottom rail left or right a little to allow your rods to lean into the top rail. This will help to keep rods from sliding out of the top rail.
I watched this vid and made my own version of this rack; it's fantastic! Unfortunately I failed to do the offset when I mounted it on the wall; so I just put some elastics over the top end to hold them in place for now! I have to take it down to redo the drywall on the wall, so I will adjust at that point. Thanks for the video!!
Nice Video, nevertheless I would prefer, to do the bottom rack in a easier way: use two boards, in the upper one drill the same holes as done in the top rack and glue/screw a solid board below.
Best DIY video I’ve seen so far on a wall mount rod rack! Just finished my fishing/work bench now it’s time to make a rod rack that will save me much more room!
If you are limited on ceiling height to fit the rods, one could build 2 of the top pieces and mount the rack horizontally on the wall. Love your DYI projects.... Keep'em coming.
Hey bro I just started watching your videos, and I have to say they have gave me a lot of valuable information, thank you...keep up the great work. I just go finished with my jon boat build, wish I could show you my VERY first build,I am proud of my self and my son.
Sounds awesome man. Would love to see it. Message me some pics on FB messenger or Instagram at Bass Brothers Fishing. The links are in the description of this video.
Great DIY video. The Rod Rack looks great on the wall. I will be doing something similar for sure in the near future. Thanks BBFDMV for another great one. Tight Lines!!!
Material prices are crazy nowadays, so many projects you're better off buying online but I think this is much more robust for the price than an online option. Will be making one. Thanks!
Awesome. Be sure to offset the bottom rail left or right a little to allow your rods to lean into the top rail. This will help to keep rods from sliding out of the top rail.
Currently working on a boat project with my son not a jon boat but 16 footer I got all the info from you keep up the good work and I'll send you picks when I'm done
If you dont have a paddle bit or a router you could always cut a hole through the bottom board rip it to make it skinny and then mount another board underneath to get the same effect
So I'm counting a materials list of 4 1x4, screws and wood glue. Did I miss anything?? Your video seems pretty simple to follow, but any chance you have plans for this project?
I bought this from Amazon. The bench is sold by Keter. Here is our affiliate link in case you buy it from Amazon. Using this link helps to support the channel's growth. Thanks for reaching out and watching our video. Stay safe!!! amzn.to/40god7q

@TheGreenLumux Awesome. Glad it worked out. It's a solid rack. Wish I had mentioned to offset the bottom rack in the video. 😞
Thank you for a well explained project. It looks great in our garage.
This is excellent, very pleased with the outcome

A Forstner bit or clock makers bit would also do a great job on the base... (the bits are expensive, but cheaper than a router).
Great project 👍

Thank you brother for sharing. Gonna try making one for me.
Nice custom rod rack! Great addition to the "Macho Lounge"!
Ah ha. The Macho Lounge. Thanks.
Your priorities are absolutely 💯

Yea I might do that if I end up buying more 8 footers

Sir, you did a great build and the video was straightforward and easy to keep up with.
I'm a simple guy. I see rod rack and I click like!
Very nice build, I will use some of your ideas in my build for my son in law. Thanks

Thanks Duane. This was way overdub than for me.
Looks nice and clean, good job.
Just decluttered my garage for my boat and this is a definite must make.
Thanks. This was a long overdue project for me. And besides, decluttered brain catches more fish. 🤣🐟🎣
That looks great. Thanks for showing us how you did that.
Cool 😎
Nice video. Well done and easy to follow along.
This is great, thanks for theinspiration

Prices are actually going back down thank God. Check home depot and Lowes out. At least they are around here. Good luck.
Well done sir!
Wow! Awesome job! I'll look at other how-to videos, but I'm quite positive I'm going to go with this plan.

My son and I are making this for my husband for Father’s Day following your instructions- it’s really easy thanks!
Awesome gift
Great idea , well explained , so just going to have to pinch this ....off to the store for materials. ... THANKS.
Nice!!! Thanks for the video!!!
Great video. Very well explained. Would that also work for big game reels? Thank you for sharing.
I love this idea. I may build one of these. Great job. I build your motor stand too. (very close anyway...) Fish on!
Awesome man.
Great vid will be using this as a guide to make mine soon . Thank you
That looks great! Thanks for sharing.
Looks great.
Love your projects, Sir. Keep up the great work!
Thanks.
Use a forster bit, very clean cut and no deep center hole
Can’t wait to build this
It's rock solid. Note: install the bottom shelve with a slight offset to the tip so your rids lean into the slots.
Looks beautiful!!
Another great build
Thanks

I'm still hoping it will open up at some point.
@@BassBrothersFishingDMV me too, was starting to figure some parts of it out 🤣
and the action is perfect. put a small spinning reel on it with ...
Very cool!
Thanks
You might have enough room to sneak in the 8' rod horizontally back behind the vertical standing rods on the top rod support. 😎
That's exactly what I did lol
Nice job
Thanks
NICE JOB, VERY PRACTICAL. PS, NEW SUBSCRIBER ‼️ Vinny 🇺🇸
Thanks. Welcome to the channel. 👍🏾 👊🏾🤙🏾
Don’t forget to use the space above your head for fishing poles also the space above the garage door.
Muy bueno !!!
Thanks.
I’m looking to ether buy one or try to build my own but I ain’t got no carpenter
what kind of table are you using in this video?
How long is your board?
So I'm counting a materials list of 4 1x4, screws and wood glue. Did I miss anything?? Your video seems pretty simple to follow, but any chance you have plans for this project?
I put items in the video description. I do not have a written plan for it but I made the video step by step so it should be pretty easy to follow.
@@BassBrothersFishingDMV thanks
Who is the manufacturer of your workbench?

I also have 16 active rods😂
Nice. I’m going to build this but, also use router to round off edges. Thanks .
