  • Working on cleaning up the garage this week. I noticed the Fishing rod sadly in the corner collecting dust. So I looked around the shop for some scrap wood and found 2 equal pieces of African Mahogany. After cutting both of them to size we DIY a Fishing rod holder and install it on the garage.

Martin Roundill I am sorry Martin. I change it up every video and this music selection is not that great that I am allowed to use. Thank for the comment I will keep this in mind for my next videos.

I made something similar for myself quite a few years ago that holds 21 Rod and reels. Really only difference is, is that I made it to where 1 pole is facing one way and next pole is facing opposite. So every other rod is going 1 direction as the rest are going the other. You can fit a lot more doing it that way. I have big "telephone pole" Halibut rods, down rigger rods, salmon rods, trout etc. They all fit nicely and I don't have issues with reels being in the way. My Uncle really liked it, so last night, after all these years I finally made him a set like mine. He doesnt know about it yet. I made his to hold 35 rods, and each rack piece is just over 7 ft.

Yes, depending on some deep sea rods and fresh water rods measure your reels out and see what spacing would be best for you.
