- Toyota Hilux Champ, Toyota Tamaraw or Toyota Hilux IMV-0 is a light commercial vehicle sitting below regular Hilux. The Toyota IMV platform is an automobile platform for SUVs, pickups/light trucks and passenger cars. The name "IMV" stands for "Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle". It uses a ladder frame chassis construction with two body style a Short-wheel-base and Long-wheel-base. Three engine available a 2.0 Litre N/A 1TR-FE (139 PS), a 2.7 Litre 2TR-FE (166 PS) and 2.4 litre turbo diesel 2GD-FTV (150 PS).

Please!!!!! bring this to the States Toyota. Not everyone is obsessed with gadgets and gizmos. Not everyone needs or wants lighted cup holders, heated seats, banana car play and 72 USB ports in their vehicle. Especially in a work get stuff done utility vehicle. I need one of these.

I really want this in the US, things I would do to get a 2.0L NA manual of this. Knowing the US the most common spec would prob be a some 4 banger turbo with an auto but I would still pick one up in a heartbeat.
@@geographyinaction7814 Toyota says this is a "Utility Side By Side". So yes, it would dominate the Side by Side market in the US if they would release it here. But they said they wouldn't.

This is how EVs shouldve been introduced. No thrills or frills, no warm your butt and scratch your back seats, no 35 inch in dash monitor, just bare bones get to work and back with heat and ac.
I totally agree. I mean, when “range anxiety” is a very real thing, do they then load it with electrical gizmos?! If the battery powered the motor and lights and NOTHING else, how much further would it go?
2 door commuter. Rear leg room eats into battery space, so get rid of the back seat for better cargo. GM could have thrown a modern lithium battery in the EV-1 and sold to people who actually wanted electric cars instead of creating vehicles that will be in the junkyard in 10 years.
Bring this truck to the USA! I could use these vehicles on the farm! Regular pickup truck are way too expensive and not built to do farm work!

The production base for this small truck is in Indonesia and Thailand targeting South American and Asian countries that use Euro 4 & 5 diesel engines, if this truck enters the United States market it is certain Chevrolet Ford GMC would mind that cheap small trucks from Japan would flood the American market
75% of modern American spec trucks are commuter vehicles. The rest a mostly fleet vehicles with a less than 5 year projected life span because of Tax regulations. Why should They build a product designed to really work for a living?

These are about as basic as it gets and that's a good thing. It's a rugged work truck, so if you want niceties, add your own. Toyota will sell heaps of these for sure.
Steele rims are good for them fleet vehicles where you wany the utilizatio nratenup and the maintinance down
I would like to see a tach, oil pressure and engine temp gauges. those are important in a work vehicles, by the time the idiot light goes off, damage may be done. those three gauges are useful for assessing engine performance health.
I'd like the gauges, plus a basic radio and one more power port- 1 for nav and 1 for phone. They may have some basic option packages that would fix all that.

Man... this with a utility body, ladder/pipe racks would be a wicked setup for the trades workers. Toyota definitely should bring like this to North America & get into the work vehicle/van market with this thing. It's all Big 3 except for Nissan. I think this would shake the game up here, fully loaded work vehicle built to spec for under 30K$ CAD would be a steal in this market where its 50-60k for a brand new base model truck or van. I'd be shocked if we ever got one here though, big 3 are going to lobby the government to make damn sure this thing never comes near here, one can dream though.

Súper pikap la nesesitamos en sentro américa en especial Guatemala jjiiii. Me gusta porque no es complicada en sistema de mucho eléctrico me encantan manuales los lujos no son necesarios. Esperamos fabriquen 4x4 mecánicas súper para el trabajo del campo
