HUGE Star Trek fan. I went to a Trektacular while ago and got to see almost all of the cast of Next generation. William Shatner, filled in for Patrick Stewart. This episode was fun watching you fan boy out! This game, is looking like it should be interesting, I'm excited for it.
This is the best Star Trek media almost 20 years.

Ds9 had the best villains in all of the franchise. Dukat was theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee man when it came to being evil.

I am a fan as well. This game looks good, has the right atmosphere, a bit on the simple side for 2023, but the dual stories are sound. Let's see how it goes on. Great gaming on your part, checking and re-checking everything is a good approach for a game like this. Good luck! From what I know, it has re-playability value, that's great too.

i've never heard of this game. I only got into Star trek TNG a couple months ago and i love it. And i'm really enjoying the vibe here.
I realised I am in love with your voice 🥰 I need to say it after all these years) I don't like games with a lot of fighting and violence and I admit I only watched your let's play of Dreamfall chapters and I recently watched Firewatch. I watched Dreamfall chapters like a million times, as a background, as something to fall asleep to - because of your voice which feels so calming, sort of positive and kind and just immediately relaxing for me. That let's play of yours became my safety blanket. Will try to watch this) I am looking for adventure games, something with less action and more exploring... And a combination of an adventure game like this and your voice is perfect.
I've had anxiety problems and panic attacks for years and I can't even say how much this helps. Thank you so much for doing this.

Fave in order - Original series, Voyager, NG, Enterprise, DS9, Strange New Worlds, all movies. Watched all of Discovery even though not impressed with it but nevertheless, it's a Star Trek.
Never played any games because I'm too worried they'll be below standard, but, COOL.
Oh and Strange New Worlds was awesome and is gearing up to take DS9's slot in my fave. And also, not finished watching all of Picard yet. Kind of back-burnered that one.

Talking about the telltale games The Wolf Among Us 2 is coming out this year so i'm super excited after watching the original be played then playing it myself.
If you are wise enough -> be embraced in TWAU2 fic, then I would advise when you start from season 1 having a "no-nonsense" attitude & being a Sheriff Bigsby Wolf that dares take controversial or even pariah measures in executing the best end. (Your choices will translate in TWAU2 plot)

When you meet the Vulcan Chief Engineer, use the "So, we're irreplaceable" option. You'll get some Vulcan sass.

47:40 Just to clarify, not to criticize: The dress code is Deep Space Nine or later, and the display colour scheme is like Enterprise B/C. Close miss. That said, I also love it. Especially the dress code is my favourite.
Hmm. Mental Fox capsule review: "Keeps you awake." So far I think what I'm waiting for most is to see Jara not get her meds (those ones that won't run out....yeah, suuuure) so we can see her discombobulate into a blob with a nose ridge. Now that will be classic TNG.

Really happy you are playing this. 'Telltale' + Star Trek made this an easy buy for me (though I've only just started the video so maybe you hate it by now, lol). I've enjoyed playing it (dodgy performance is par for the course with 'Telltale', which always cared more about the storytelling than the gameplay, and it's just about ok on my PS4.) Also if you like the story element, The Walking Dead series is absolutely glorious even years later, and the only game to make me sob multiple times. This is very true to their format.

I am pretty sure captain is voiced by actor who played general Talbot in agents of shield. And he even looks little like him.
I think the thing that turned people off were the red and blue guys and whatever else there might be were just so bright red and bright blue which is so cartooney. A lighter shade of red and blue would have looked so much more realistic, I think.
I love the Star Trek series too. My favorite was Voyager but I loved them all (except the newest one).

Well it looks better than the last few ST licenced games at least. And it's fairly priced for a Telltale-inspired title.
IDK if you ever tried Star Trek Online but it has some awesome stories + you can play as several different factions (Federation, Romulans, Kilingons and even the Dominion)

I really like the graphics, the story and experience, while I wish there was a bit more to do during exploration gameplay, but while in conversation, making decisions and experiencing the story, I think the game has been great and I rate the game 9/10 so far!
I'm playing the game on PS4 and though it stutters a bit (when all my other PS4 games play perfectly, the slight stutters, mostly when loading new areas and the loading times are fairly long, the game is still perfectly playable and is extremely fun.
Also if you've never played any of the Telltale games, I highly recommend many of them, including The Walking Dead series, The Wolf Among Us and their The Back to the Future game! 😀🤘 .
Also if you're having trouble playing with the keyboard (which is always terrible), you should absolutely play it with a controller as indeed the game plays perfectly with the Dualshock 4 on PS4! 😀🤘🤞 .
oh nice! i love star trek as well!! and though i do like the tale tell interactive stories, they aren't really games, they are choose your own adventure stories
Oh i think you must be younger than me then cos when i was a kid computers only just coming in the home. So ‘games’ were these interactive stories but in books. Steve Jackson and the like. Omg i loved those. So this just takes me right back - nostalgia- also why i kind of like the older style graphics really. Somehow seems to suit the game. 😜

Picard season 1 should have been the only season of that show! It could have been a launching point for Rios, Rafi and 7 .... and if they didn't McGuffin Picard back to life his story would be wrapped out PERFECTLY!
Don't get me wrong I love Picard .... but that was a perfect chance to wrap it out and move forward! A perfect bittwersweet ending! Honestly all the flaws of Picard were not that major but the ending just made them look esponential to me

I will admit, first off, that I am not very in the loop as far as the production side of Video games so forgive my ignorance but how the hell did Telltale Games fold? They were hot shit for a while and had their fingers in many a franchise pie. Three major franchises come to mind and that is without actually having to look anything up. Did they sink all their liquidity into NFTs and bitcoin?

I uninstalled _Star Trek Online_ because it took 3 hours to launch and update the patches, & I still couldn’t play it

Indeed it is!
It came out on PS4 and Xbox One about two months ago, about a month after it came out on PC...
It launched for €40 here in Europe, but was on sale for €30 when I bought it, but even if you have to pay €40 for it, if the sale is over, I highly recommend it as it's a pretty great game and a great Star Trek experience overall! 😀🤘 .

Please remove motion blur. I don't understand why anyone leaves it on in games today. It gives me motion sickness and it makes game fluidity look terrible.

The game itself looks fine, but I don’t think my PC can run it and it’s not even on Steam to begin with.

Graphics are not ps3 era as someone who owned both the 360 and ps3 during that era the ps3 couldnt come close to these graphics. it was the weakest console of that era the processor was held back by insufficient ram and graphics memory. 360 was wayyyyyyyyy more powerful

Discovery wasnt even good TV. It was absolutely terrible from the acting to the plot it was plated vomit. Picard was a major disappointment.
Brave new worlds is pretty good but honestly I get more of a star trek nostalgic feel from The Orville than i do these modern Trek shows.

Also in terms of game stability, after playing about three hours so far, there hasn't been a sign of it crashing, though I did have the following weird glitch happen just once! 😯😂🩲😀🤘 .
