Nice to see Spock show up and the voice acting is not cringe worthy. - - - As soon as Miranda says "You had better be" you know for a fact she's gonna be the red shirt.

Routine for me as a kid was Dad would come home from work and he’d sit down and watch next generation and I’d crawl up on the couch with him and watch it with him until dinner was ready…
Voyager (when I was older.) Loved that was on when I was starting high school and that it had a woman captain was just so cool to me as a young lady.

I started playing this game yesterday, and when I saw Spock I was surprised, then was emotional, then rather impressed with the approximation of his voice. Knowing full well that Leonard Nimoy passed away some time ago.
I was so excited to see spock appear. And i agree i think this game is great so far. And i feel this is written by people who actually love star trek. I am so happy you are playing and i get to see it with you all. 😊
Nothing silly about thinking about the TOS or TNG crew as family. Growing up with TNG, those characters will always be meaningful to me, and seeing them when rewatching TNG episodes is like meeting with old friends again. Its a feeling that, like you said, can't be easily understood by non-trekkers.
Oh man, Spock!!!! How cool!!!! Really loving this! Having the discussions on what to do diplomatically, was so so Star Trek and so cool to be "apart of". I'm going to HAVE to play after I watch your playthrough
I wasnt spoiled about Spock, the look on Carter's face when he saw Spock and heard his voice was just about the same as my own 😮
The eyebrows are so expressive, I can't stop looking at everybody's.
I think the telltale formula works perfectly for Star Trek. Im loving this. Did anyone else squee just a bit when Spock turned up?
So just to throw my 10 cents into the mix: 1) Piotr Michale absolutely KILLS it as Spock, actually got me a little misty eyed when he first appeared when I was playing it, it was like having Leonard back in a small way. Amazing job! 2) The game itself despite a few technical issues here and there is simply great, and feels like your playing a classic Trek story. Hell with a live cast this would make for a great multi episode story arc (or movie) and would easily stand along side some of the more highly regarded ones in the franchise history! 3) Without saying anything spoilery.... trust me this isnt the same old story as youve seen a dozen times over in Trek... it just starts out that way ;) You'll see..... :P
I'm happy to see you get a lot a views in this let's play! I'm not a star trek hard core fan, more a casual one, and I really like your take on this game

The reason I chose to go in the hatch first myself was simply because there was no time to argue. She was the first one to propose the plan so that's what I went with. If I wanted her to go first, my fault for not being the first to assert the plan firmly.

I actually did have an emotional reaction to seeing Mr Spock, I watched Star Trek re-runs growing up and this felt like a long lost friend suddenly walked through the door 😭. I wondered why you didn't it pause right there....

And, yeah, there is something not "captain like" about that captain. Kinda feels like a bully.
Just shows you how peer pressure works not old in real life but in a video game as well regarding following the captions orders or not.
One thing I like about star fleet they use people for jobs that could easily be done by the computer helps keep hackers out.

So I used the Deflector Dish against the energy wave. My though was the Shields were better to protect US, however we're also attached to an entire Station of people and the shields do nothing to protect everyone there. In theory, using the Defector Dish to weaken the wave would lessen the damage not only for us, but for everyone on the STATION as well. I'm not sure if the game put that much thought into it, but that was my reasoning, lol
I'm going into this game totally blind. Hadn't heard anything about it until you introduced it a few days ago. So, yes I was surprised by the reveal and wondered why you didn't gasp or comment at the time. It wasn't a shocker to me however since it is usual to have the most famous franchise star play a part. Like Darth Vader being included in Star Wars Fallen Order and Survivor.
Just want to say I really enjoy this playthrough. As a big fan of the TNG era trek and Star Trek an in general, we have gone a LONG time without any Star Trek. In the last two years I think we have gotten some very good Star Trek and this game is just icing on the cake. It's been really fun to watch another fan who can appreciate everything this game does, enjoying themselves. Non Star Trek fans will probably think tihs game is pretty meh but for a dieha srd, it is very fun to be able to interact with this world in story that feel very authnetic to the IP.
Don't fully turn into a yes man, Fox. I think he (the captain) is depressed and nostalgic for older times. I definitely feel that he has mental issues. I hope there will be a way to reconcile the crew with the captain. I genuinely feel that the captain wants to do right by them but doesn't know how and he is interpreting their emotions as combative when they really aren't. They just want the captain to at least listen to their other ideas and proposals.
18% that blew the bolts, just show us how many people are cut out for command. Look at counselor troi she took the command test five times, and she wasn't happy with the choice she had to make when she finally passed it. No time to explain that. You either put two people at risk, or the whole station at risk.

I'm enjoying this playthrough so far. There are some weird creative decisions with the game, though. Like, why write all those details on the screen, but not let you zoom in to read it. Or, instead of everything being a QTE, they could have made a simple puzzle to immerse you further.
I'm here until the end, though. I'm enjoying this.
I couldn't believe seeing the 90% going for Miranda. I had no interest at all, she came on immediately, doesn't look that good (haha) and I was totally going for Epsilar, not realizing the Game would just lock them into eternal friendship just to prove men and women can be friends. (She looks good, has the same interests, deep trust to each other, can be relied on, why WOULD someone be interested in her, huh?)

I assume you're talking about the 2018 Lost in Space, not the 1965 one (which I did watch in reruns when I was young). I haven't seen the 2018 one but I'm glad you brought it up. Been looking for something new to watch.
@@MentalFox At first I hated it (2018) because I felt it wasn't canon but it sure is canon but with a bit of a twist, and it's awesome. I've watched it through twice now. If you love space and sci fi and the Robinsons you gotta watch it.
I knew that Leonard Nimoy had passed away, so for a few hours I was sure it has to be an old game I've never heard about. when i finally found out it was a 2023 game, I was floored. Then my detective work began, and I found out that Spock was voiced by Piotr Michael whom I've never heard about before... His voiceover is very good, but not as amazing as Leonard Nimoy's (RIP) could have been... 😮💨 As for the game itself, it's amazing. You: I can't read it. Me: Are you serious????😛 The computer voice is nasally, ouch! What system do you work on? My game loads in seconds...
It was a happy surprise to see Spock. Are they using AI for his voice or is it a voice actor?
It's a voice actor, I think he does a phenomenal job.

Love Spock - what a great surprise. The lower the rank (working class) - the hotter, and younger. Sometimes, looks as if they have chewing gum in their mouths.

I understand Jonathan Frakes reprises his role as Will Riker. And Levar burton wrote a scene for LT. Bedrosian who suffered an accident on the shuttle and goes blind so she wears a visor. It happens on one of the 2 choices you have to make in the scenario
