I agree with you about the captain - totally sketchy situation. I have to admit I would have gone against his orders during that emergency but I am glad you followed his orders instead because that was the right decision considering your rank.
I think you did the right thing. They're called orders, not options. If a captain gets questioned every time the structure falls apart. But yeah I'm a bit dubious about him personally. Also agree on dating the big security girl 😉
I really enjoy watching you play this. I loved playing this game, it could be a movie, I wish this dev studio did the shows. - Most the people who I've watched play this don't like star trek and it's all a joke. So I really thank you and enjoy joining you as you play. It's really enjoyable.

this looks like such a huge amount of fun... I might actually buy it at one point. That captain is screwed up by paranoia and is a psychotic breakdown just waiting to happen
yeah these 2 being on the hull reminds me of the episode where the Borg try to remove the thing on the outside of the ship and the crew have to disengage locks, i forget the episode name, but very much like that
I'm trying a week of Factor premade meals, so in a sense it's like the microwave is a replicator. hahaha
Although technically it's like Sam's meals from the movie Moon.
I hope they have a Changeling like Odo around but I doubt it. Instead there's another teenager as head of security.
I absolutely love this series. I love Star Trek. Its so cool to get more and this story is really good! :D Im on the edge of my seat watching this :D I think you are doing a superb job with the choices. Timed choices like that is so stressful. In hindsight maybe we should have tried to explain the situation to the captain first and then followed his orders but then again, its not a good look to start off questioning your captain so I think in a real life situation you would follow your captains orders. I think you chose right. So cool that you chose to have that little love story! :D Cant wait to see where that goes :D Next episode please! :D Im so sorry it takes 24 minutes to load... But is so good. Totally worth it! :D Right?... I really-really hope so at least :)

Oh man, my inner trekkie is really enjoying this! With the storm and trying to command, very exciting! That's frustrating about how long it takes to load. I hope they're able to fix that. I'm really committed tho and am looking forward to the whole playthrough.
Which is interesting considering that the USS Voyager's warp core was stated to put out 4,000 teradynes per second...

I feel like the Tatical Officer & Science Officer should switch roles based on their personalities but that's just me.
Depending on what time you play, you have 24 minutes to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner 😄. Hopefully there's some solution.

Any chance the long load time is a bad interaction with some anti virus software? Might be worth giving it an exception to see if that helps?
I agree about the captain. He lacks self confidence but expects others to follow his orders without question. That's a bad combination. But I think you did the right thing by following his orders since you are new to the ship. I think as you progress through the game following the captains orders or listening to the crews suggestions will have more impact. And I get the feeling his is going to, at some point, give a very bad order.
I'm enjoying this play through, love the story and I'm glad you are enjoying it.
The 24 minute load time is...well way too long. Maybe suggest you plan ahead, knowing it will be a thing, get it fired up and go do some things you already needed to do. As another commenter suggested. Back in the days of dial-up I'd open an image, go start prep for the evenings meal while I was waiting. I just want that long load time to be a reason you stop playing this game. You are enjoying so much.

Some characters are concerned she didn't try to explain the situation. Things were happening fast and there was no time to explain, actions related right then and there. Explaining the situation would take too long
Not the biggest fan of captain what's his face. Sorry, not sure how to spell the name since i can't physically see it, blind and all, but i am enjoying the story and the characters otherwise including the first officer.
Good crew but their ship is one of those models you see get annihilated in large numbers in battles. I have to assume that isn't the case with this one.
Close, but it's not a Miranda, the death trap that is eviscerated in innumerable Dominion War battles, but a Centaur class; we don't see too many of them, really.
Edit: Oh, dang. I'm one of those "ackchyually" nerd stereotypes.
@@reimannsum9077 The Oberth is quite an unlucky little ship as well. Those things need to be kept as far from any battlefield as possible.
@@Sparrow9612 And, to be fair, the Oberth and Miranda are both ships designed before most of the characters in this game were born. I mean, in our context, that's like sending the Nemesis, the first British ironclad, into battle against the Bismarck in WWII - two ships built a hundred years apart.
@@reimannsum9077 Right. During the Dominion War the alliance got so desperate for ships they dragged out a bunch of old mothballed ones. Cost god knows how many Starfleet personnel their lives being assigned to old busted-up ships that had no business going up against an infinitely superior enemy.
