X4 really is a game you can play forever, great video. I've played X4 a lot but always seem to get distracted around mid game so it was great to see you push on and build a massive empire.
I have the same issue. But to be honest, in this game the distractions are soo well placed and enjoyable, that I don't even mind. Rome wasn't built in one day :D
The Ka'ark could have looked at the space high-way construction plans at any time during the past 5 standard years, and filed an objection with the Boron traffic administration. Their case doesn't have a leg to stand on. Bring in the building cranes!
You laugh, but even the goddamn killbots (Xenon) have had diplomatic contact with the Boron. The Kha'ak bugmen are just too alien and expansionist for dialogue.
The best thing about this game is that you can dogfight as much as you would like, only owning your ship and the spoils of your dangerous practice, or control the intricacies of a vast empire.
The problems with just dogfighting is the Xenon eliminating the Split, then breaking out into Teladi areas, crippling the galactic economy. And if you are super unlucky like me, a stray I will enter Antigone Memorial. The galaxy needs saving and you are the only chance it has.

Take your time to learn it, it's a very complex game. Don't think you will have 10 stations at hour 49 like this guy, he's clearly a veteran who knew it all before starting this gameplay.
Audio volume warning at 42:39-42:47 - there's one clip there where the audio gets super loud all of a sudden. Otherwise great vid I love the x series and this is making me want to go back and watch the original series from 3 years ago again!
@@LauftFafa when I first played eve, I explained it as a game that is like x2 but multiplayer. Now when people ask me to explain x4 I say it's like eve online but singleplayer 😂
Tip for Argon rep, set up miners in the massive asteriod sector next to argon prime, (usually to thr top left) , And set their mine and sell to that sector only. This means your miners mine, and sell ores to argon, which means you trade, and it means passive rep and money. I always use this trick. It wont get you all the way there but it can make the early grind quick
Very well done! As a new player, it was awesome to see how another player progresses, make money, and build. Definitely picked up a few tips too. Would love to see more!!
Thanks! I haven't played X4 in years before doing this, so I doubt my way of progression is optimal - but that's the beauty of X4 - everyone can carve their own path in their own way and have a lot of fun doing it.
@@KokoplaysMBYou did more in your first 8 hours than I did in my first 40 hours of my first ever time playing this game.Though alot of time was spent looking up stuff lol.
Brilliant Video which showcases most of the features of X4. Everyone who likes Space Sims, should definitely give X4 a try... its a Fun and EPIC experience that no other space game can offer.
As someone who played a ton of space games, especially rts ones love X4 big time , this game truly combines Homeworld and Freelancer into a single package, but you can have a completely different experience playing every new start, it's like stellaris but you have combat and you pretty much design your own ships
In my current playthrough the Xenon have been super aggressive. My first trip through Argon Prime found a pair of K Destroyers sweeping through the system with no resistance, the Argon had to completely rebuild their wharf and shipyard, still really sparse there. There is near constant fighting in Hatikvahs Choice, the Xenon are regularly attempting to build stations there. My mining and trade ships are all in Boron, Segaris, and Antigone Republic space. Only recently built up enough cash to start buying Destroyers. I had to kill a K that came into Heretic's End from Wretched Skies, in my at the time lone Boron Ray.
In a recent Run i learned that Boron defense stations are amazing to fend off the Xenon in lynchpin sectors. 11 Defense modules with the large pule net launchers and medium pulse guns kill pretty much anything (although i have not seen a Xenon I in that run). I build them in Hatikvahs choice, the Void and was working on the split that just get pummeled in every run i do, poor sods. Interesing tidbit: once the Void and Hatikvah were secure the Argon really ramped up and started being agressive towards everyone :D
Main problem is AI fleets are naturally small and they typically fly off their territories to patrol sectors they don't really need to. Xenon forcibly have larger fleets as they have to distribute their forces from 4-5 points against all factions. Against the combined power of all factions, Xenon are weaker. If Xenon actually focus a large force at one sector one faction at a time, like Hatikvah's Choice, they can win the sector. Argon, by itself can't hold Hatikvah's Choice or Morning Star, it's fleet size is small and they are always spread out and can fail to respond to an all out Xenon attack, as in, they won't pull their fleets back to stop them, instead they continue to let their fleets wander aimlessly while they get trampled. This forces player intervention. It's better to build ships instead of buying, you can start easy cashflow from a hull parts factory, cheap and easy and low maintenance. One of the Argon missions teaches you this.
So, what I'm getting from this video, is that this game is a majestic combination of Elite Dangerous and Stellaris? Seems like a must play for me, get to bust out my HOTAS again! Thanks for the video! I've been on the fence for this game for a bit.
As someone with about 500 hours in X4 (and another 1500-ish in the older titles), it's always great to see more people get sucked in. It's one of the only franchises where you start with practically nothing, but by the end you can have a fully self-sufficient empire, with multiple giant shipyards churning out battleships for your war with the game's major factions. For anyone willing to forgive the game's flaws and find their own blend of fun within its sandbox, there's almost no other experience like it.
This video convinced me to buy the game and all the DLC, and I'm having an absolute blast with it. Not very good yet, but I'm getting there. Would love to see a continuation of this save at some point!
@@KokoplaysMB Unfortunately my laptop can't run it, so I can only play every other weekend when I'm actually home (truck driver life), but the addiction is already strong, aye! XD
The good part about X4 is you can play it anyway you want. You don't need to build a giant industry and challenge the Xenon if you don't want to, the game can be a lot of fun just flying around with one ship as well.
It's normal for a first run. And before watching the video, I really thought it will be a mess, I didn't know Koko at all. But he seems to really know how to play and how growing his empire. And it's a good thing for him, because longer you let the Xenon do what they want and stronger they will be. I really put my empire on a other level when I realize the Xenon snowball everything lol. At first I was like, bah it's just the split I don't care. My goal was to destroy the Terran and be THE terran ;). But my plan change because if the Xenon destroy the split, they will be a lot stronger and just snowball the rest of the galaxy. So I spend billions to stop them and take back all the sectors. Most of them are now under my protection.
@@XxKidnoffxX umm just a question how long until the xenon snowball. Cause i already have 24 hours on my save and only have 26 million max and a few ships i wouldnt even be able to help against the xenon if they decide to kill everything
@@Robbin-Hood since the 6.0, its better because splits economy was fixed. Bir you have time. Just take a look to your map to see if some sectors turn red. It took me a lot of time before starting to help. Just with my Erlking, it was enough to push them back. Its hard to put a timeline, its completly random and dynamic. Every games are different. Use your money into miners to get a better income. Once you have a good passive income, you will be ok to "invest" in military. And, other factions will fight too. The player is not a super hero here. But you are smarter.

@@plasm2 yes, the map is larger in x3, but I still think X4 is the superior game. Don't get me wrong: I like X3, but I LOVE X4. Give it at try Jonas. Although the english translation severly lacks compared to the german original, the game is still awesome in english as well.
I've been playing Starfield for the last few weeks. But all it's been doing is rekindling my desire to play X4 again. Which I've not played since early 2022. _My bad!_ Starfield's OK. _But it's no X4!_ _Name me another space game where you can;_ 1 - Go into 3rd person mode. 2 - Ask your "M" class ship to dock on your "XL" ship. 3 - Meanwhile, you're in your "S" class ship and telling your pilot of that "S" class ship, to dock on the "M" class ship that's going to dock on the "XL" ship. 4 - So with orders placed, I'll sit back and watch the action unfold 8-))... It's my _"thing"_ I do in X4. It's good fun to do. Watching your "S" class land on the "M" class then, while still on the "S" class, that's now on the "M" class, watching that "M" class land on the "XL" class. Everyone should try to do it. At least once while playing X4 ;-))...
Putting specialized M class ships with Flak turrets on the back of your XL ship is not only cool, it is also a strong move as they will continue to shoot while docked.
Man I have something like 3k hours in x3 Albion Prelude. Fell off on the series with rebirth as it continues to be a hot mess. Glad to see that 4 actually cleaned itself up :)
For your wharf where constant fighting was taking place a recycling station close by could be a nice idea. And if you dont use Terran Equipment you can use the closed loop economy, for which recycling can deliver all (basic) resources.
That what I did in my last play. All waring factions were buying ships at my shipyard and once they undocked they figured till death and my recycling station was laaways full of scrap 😅
I got X4 a couple of weeks ago and I'm about 10 hrs in. I just happened to pick this start so this is really helping me get a better idea what I need to do because all I've done so far is explore a little bit and mine some crystals.
Hi, I love X4, just FYI the mods for this game are amazing, Star wars interworlds 0.7 is about to release soon! Its another 100 - 200 hours, its so good!
Set your wharf prices to 150%; everyone still buys your ships and you make a fat profit. As for your own M ships, I recommend using the Split Boa. It has a small cargo capacity, but it's by far the fastest trade ship, meaning higher throughput and the ability to escape from pirates. The best M miners are, again, Split; the Alligators go so ridiculously fast that you'll rarely if ever lose any of them. The only drawback with Split is that the game seems to not have a good queue system for multiple ships wanting the same dock, so you'll need that 8m docking port at your factories, possibly more with a megafactory.
I watched this vid now for the third time and I always cant stop laugh because of the legendary sentence "he asked me to hack my own HQ, almost told him to hack himself" xD
i feel this game is overlooked a lot. i know i did because of the name, and the look of the map. looked like turn based game... not bad but i had my fill of those and wanted free roam. finally seen a non edited playtrhough of the game seen it was actually everything i wanted in game. after playing it i learned it was even more then i thought. so few things u cant do in this game. it truly is amazing in most aspects. imo the only thing i hated were the missions. so clunky and hard to figure out what exactly they wanted me to do and or where to go. real pain in the butt to do. hated the missions........ luckily u dont have to do many to unlock most of the game. but yea.
Dude, I love your video style! I love the storytelling aspect of it as well as the reminder as to which hour it is in the playthrough. I'm 6 minutes in, and I'm seeing "Hour 5" and thinking, "What?! This is only hour 5?"
I am actually blown the heck away that you didn't have any issues with the AI on your trade ships going bananas trying to figure out what you want them to do. And also the station managers having issues fulfilling your requests.
I'm at the 42:40 mark in the video right now, and I just want to let you know that there is a sudden 10x increase in your microphone volume, and it scared the hell outta me! Hahahaha! Not sure if you can edit after posting, but might wanna put up a warning of some sorts! ;D None the less, I am LOVING this video so far! Keep it up:))
Making 1 year since i´ve bought this and found funny how the best role is universe protector if you want to avoid an non realistic full universe control and keep all factions alive and the market running you just have to settle defense stations and Capitol Ships in every Xenon point of access to Civilized Races, this was you can avoid looking to the map a seeing random faction structures being destroyed, on my first play Xenon annihilated Argon Federation while i was taking care of my life 😅 You can use this as a starting business because you´ll have a lot of part ships being dropped plus items with high value that you can sell i remember that my first 10,000,000,000 where made essentially on this
A valuable tip for Defense Stations: build them in Closed Loop, this requires that you use Argon modules only, but reduces the material to Hullparts, Energy Cells and Claytronics. Now given the rarity of Claytronics, it´s still easier to get than the excessively rare Turret Components (unless you build them yourself...). However i have by now build several minimalistic Defense Stations that allow me to keep Xenon Incursions in check thanks to Closed Loop. Only Terran Construction is this efficient and simple! But much more expensive.
Maybe, if I wasn't in my mid 60s, married, still employed full-time, and taking both advanced cybersecurity and python training, I could have time for all this... It sounds like fun; but my brain is full just 24 minutes into the video...
7 minutes in and I'm floored how much is going on in this game. Graphics and menus aside, the game looks amazing and seems like it can give me the things that Starfield and No Mans Sky fail to bring.
X-4 is an awesome game, thanks for the video - it was nice to see that some people still know the meaning of the word 'piracy', in that the goal is high stake theft while causing the least damages that could harm one's future piracy. In Star Citizen, piracy now means 'psychopathic mass murderer', where killing is the sport and the loot doesn't matter.
Agreed on the video! Eh to the piracy in SC.. its hard to find PvP even if you actively look for it, you gotta be at JT and Brios and sometimes you have to wait for hours. Every bounty also runs to Grim hex to hide and server hop :/ in 8 years of playing SC i have never been attacked on a peaceful trade run, only maybe 7 times while running illegal goods (what you're thinking of was the Pyro Playtest where this murder hobo nonsense started, this is what happens when you deprive players of good PvP content for years lol)
@hellgeist_ i'm pretty high end on the PvP side of things. Meta consists currently of just corkscrews and tricording. You do these 2 things with the current system and you become unhittable over 500m away from whoever you're fighting. Even in AUS servers it's not that bad. You only ever get ganked if you run illegal goods; if you do only PvE content, the chances of running into PvP is next to none; Star Citizen needs *more* pvp orientated gameplay, not less (My take as someone who both equally engages in higher end PvP content and PvE content over the course of about 8 years) But we shall have to wait to see how pyro goes and all the reputation systems coming into play. Me and my buddies legally Pirate in SC (we pirate the pirates and drug haulers and take their stuff for ourselves) because honestly.. fighting people who don't fight back is boring And again.. 9/10 times player bounties just camp out in GH and server hop *your average SC player is also a very bad pilot, the skill gap between your average (90% players) and good (top 10%) is so massive that if you learn those couple tricks i talked about above you are basically a pro player ** this is the games fault though as these more advanced techniques are not taught by the game
@@Kalrisi_ReiI been here 8 years too bud, no need to flex. Your power is going away with mastermodes and a few other tweaks anyway. The new meta will be ships like HH manned by well trained raid orgs. Good luck.
@hellgeist_ I think you misread my reply; I'm not supporting the current meta nor an arrow 1v1 a fully manned hammerhead lol; I'm stating that PvP needs to be fixed because as it stands what little PVP there is outside stuff like jumptown is lackluster And my 8 year comment was no flex, thats just a note of my level of experience with the game as an active player for (most) of that time I *want* more of a challenge in PvP, I don't *want* to not fear a fully crewed hammerhead; because right now, when I see a fully trained org in a hammerhead I see a big ol piñata with no ability to hit me whatsoever if I corkscrew due to the aim assist being easy to throw off. I fear a gladius/arrow/blade with a sweaty player 100x more than I fear most multicrew ships. Also the meta won't be multi-crew big ships in well trained Orgs, the meta will be every ship has its own place (hopefully atleast) My og point was that murderhoboing isn't rampant, and it was only so in the Pyro playtest and maybe 2+ years ago, now it's a really rare sight **and my last comment about the player skill curve is not meant with any sort of disrespect, as I said, the game doesn't teach you what maneuvers are good, or what trichording even is
Every time I do a gate camp with laser towers the xenon smaller ships get completely molested but then they always send in a K or 2 to blast away all my towers. Unfortunately I don't yet posses the ability to kill them so they ruin the laser light show every time, good loot for modifying my ships though.
Never heard this game but it looks like it could be one of those "perfect for me" games. Besides the game looking great, this was a good video. Full hour flies like a few minutes maybe due to your fast paced narrative. Well done. First video from you i seen, i think. Instant sub
I played the first X game 20 years ago, thought I would give x4 a try, but I am totally overwhelmed, so complicated. I bought the Boron DLC because I wanted to try and use your video as a guide. It took me 9 hours to find out that I had to discover the missing gate connection in Watchful Gaze. So stupid, I swear the mission did not state that. Being totally new to X4 I have spent 20 hours playing and have pretty much the same amount of money and the starting ship. All that said, this video made me buy the X4 in the first place so I am going to learn how to play this game. :)
150 hours in on my recent play through and I'm wrestling a ex-split system off the xenon for over half of the play through. Got the basic recycling & construction parts station up and running and the next station going up will be the turret components station so I can kick back a little rather than having to micro my fleets or watch the map all the time. Shield station is next on the list so I can build real gate defence stations that can kill xenon Is and for me to finally relax. Still going to be a while before I can let the game run itself and for me to relax enough to go playing the missions.
I feel like if you're not actively helping out the AI against Xenon, they'll have a hard time surviving, but once you manage to contain their spread (this is where all those laser turrets worked surprisingly well for me), the AI's economy will boom and you'll be able to start to relax.
I've been sat on the fence about this game for some time now, but watching this video (1 of the most enjoyable I've watched recently, by the way!), I feel myself beginning to slide off the fence, so to speak. Especially as I checked it out on Steam where it's currently 60% off, along with a stack of DLC.
Be very careful when you slide off the fence, you wouldn't want to get hurt in places that might.. well hurt. (thanks, game is really great and it being on sale is a big +)
Hope you'll do more X4 content at some point (like another 100 hours but with a different start?). You did an amazing job at showing what the game was about for new players, and to me that I've been sleeping on an amazing game series that is basically Starsector but 3D (and with dubs. Including French dubs. Reeeeeally bad French dubs)
@@KokoplaysMB Yeah, I understand. 100H of recording, and way more than 100H of editing for this video only (I suppose), that's far from just a small endeavour. Hope you'll be able to find the time to bring these plans to fruition after the next DLC comes out!
By hour 100, my game slowed to a crawl, as the "simulation" became so complex that my high-end PC struggled to give me higher than 5 fps, particularly when the map is open and seta is active. That's what kills this game, and there really is no solution to it.
I played couple hundred of hours on a shit PC in the past and never had such issues, while the game can get a bit laggy in very crowded sectors (like my home one), you really shouldn't be dropping to 5 fps with high-end PC.
I really wanted to get into this game. So i forced myself to climb its incredibly steep learning curve and i honestly was not disappointed. I dont have a hundred hours yet... But I feel like i can share some of my experiences. At first i just played it like i would say freelancer or star citizen, one man, one ship... But quickly learned that this game's difficulty ramps incredibly fast when it comes to combat missions. You either complete them easily or are stomped into a fine powder in seconds. It was clear that I was missing something. So i went to youtube for guidance and discovered the true breadth of this game.... Its like a ridiculously overly detailed capitalism simulator was masquerading as a space sim... Or maybe the other way around... Im not sure. This thing goes so deep that im still learning systems 60 hours in. In the beginning I was agast at the absolutely garbage tier voice acting and dialogue but honestly i get why now... That's just window dressing on the absolutely insane depth you can go in with this game if you have the patience. It's like seeing a puddle on the street and thinking its a pretty disappointing looking puddle, Only to sink neck deep into it when you take a step. It's not all good... When you get deep enough in you basically spend most of your time with the game in the map or in menus. You can of course venture out into the universe and do things yourself... But honestly you have so much work to do in those menus that it's probably more profitable to be managing your empire than to be taking an active roll in the dirty work of actually fighting or mining or whatever. So the part of the game that maybe drew you in in the first place may become more like a guilty pleasure as you expand. This is going to turn some people off of this game the minute they realize this fact. I sort of understand now why this game isn't all that popular. It appeals to an audience of the most hardcore autists that will spend 30 hours just learning how to set up a very complicated money making machine in a fictional universe. Fortunately for me, i live for this shit.
This was an outstanding concise and thrilling summary of a hundred hours playtime. It's been a while since I was this captivated by a letsplay. Is there a reason you built separate factories instead of one big complex supplying the wharf?
I personally prefer building stations that focus on one (maybe two) main products at the same time. And building multiple stations is more fun than one huge behemoth.
It actually helps trade routing instead of a huge megastation. Imagine shopping at the grocery store, but you only pick up 1 item at a time, instead of multiple items at once, that's the basic of X trading. That clogs the traders at docks especially the L class, M/S are not cost effective and helpless against attackers. Also the station designer can be overloaded by too many modules, this is why mods exist to help by increasing production yields, same with cargo capacity. Trade stations are a bit different, you make this if you want a centralized depot to trade out of, and not actually make it closed loop, but you can if your PC and station designer can handle it, as well as making adequate L docks. This is also the same for Shipyards, you shouldn't make it closed loop, but you can. On top of the listed problems, they also can't truly sustain themselves because sometimes they won't trade in or trade out supplies, requiring upstream factories.
I think is about experience. Is a lot easier to do things when you have the know-how: missions payed well, obtain blueprints, hunt for xenon drops, piracy (early boarding miners/low crew L ships or builders with 3-4 M-traders).
@@xizzard You're not wrong there. Although I've not played X4 for like 3 years before making this video, it all quickly came back to me once I started flying around again.

I did that for every faction, but since I wanted argon rep ASAP I flew around shooting criminals and doing missions.
@@KokoplaysMB fair enough! . Fun video. You should do more!

Freedom is what I love the most
X5 with FPS combat, more crafting, customization and access to planets would be bongers and give us everything we could hope Starfield was.
I fear it might be too much for the devs
Brilliant Video which showcases most of the features of X4. Everyone who likes Space Sims, should definitely give X4 a try... its a Fun and EPIC experience that no other space game can offer.
So true, X4 is such an amazing game!
AI often needs help against Xenon, they can be quite bad at dealing with them
Main problem is AI fleets are naturally small and they typically fly off their territories to patrol sectors they don't really need to.
Probably the best X4 video I've ever seen, it's a great vertical slice of everything this game offers

Me after 100 hours.

Totally bankrupt 😂

Split are easily my favorite faction
I watched this vid now for the third time and I always cant stop laugh because of the legendary sentence "he asked me to hack my own HQ, almost told him to hack himself" xD

None the less, I am LOVING this video so far!
Keep it up:))
Yes that was a bit unfortunate and no idea why it happened.
Making 1 year since i´ve bought this and found funny how the best role is universe protector if you want to avoid an non realistic full universe control and keep all factions alive and the market running you just have to settle defense stations and Capitol Ships in every Xenon point of access to Civilized Races, this was you can avoid looking to the map a seeing random faction structures being destroyed, on my first play Xenon annihilated Argon Federation while i was taking care of my life 😅
You can use this as a starting business because you´ll have a lot of part ships being dropped plus items with high value that you can sell i remember that my first 10,000,000,000 where made essentially on this
A valuable tip for Defense Stations: build them in Closed Loop, this requires that you use Argon modules only, but reduces the material to Hullparts, Energy Cells and Claytronics.
Good advice, thanks!

@@Kalrisi_ReiIf you want to get ganked, log into AUS servers on their prime time, which is when I play. No shortage of pvp
@hellgeist_ i'm pretty high end on the PvP side of things. Meta consists currently of just corkscrews and tricording. You do these 2 things with the current system and you become unhittable over 500m away from whoever you're fighting. Even in AUS servers it's not that bad. You only ever get ganked if you run illegal goods; if you do only PvE content, the chances of running into PvP is next to none; Star Citizen needs *more* pvp orientated gameplay, not less
(My take as someone who both equally engages in higher end PvP content and PvE content over the course of about 8 years)
But we shall have to wait to see how pyro goes and all the reputation systems coming into play. Me and my buddies legally Pirate in SC (we pirate the pirates and drug haulers and take their stuff for ourselves) because honestly.. fighting people who don't fight back is boring
And again.. 9/10 times player bounties just camp out in GH and server hop
*your average SC player is also a very bad pilot, the skill gap between your average (90% players) and good (top 10%) is so massive that if you learn those couple tricks i talked about above you are basically a pro player
** this is the games fault though as these more advanced techniques are not taught by the game
@@Kalrisi_ReiI been here 8 years too bud, no need to flex. Your power is going away with mastermodes and a few other tweaks anyway. The new meta will be ships like HH manned by well trained raid orgs. Good luck.
@hellgeist_ I think you misread my reply; I'm not supporting the current meta nor an arrow 1v1 a fully manned hammerhead lol; I'm stating that PvP needs to be fixed because as it stands what little PVP there is outside stuff like jumptown is lackluster
And my 8 year comment was no flex, thats just a note of my level of experience with the game as an active player for (most) of that time
I *want* more of a challenge in PvP, I don't *want* to not fear a fully crewed hammerhead; because right now, when I see a fully trained org in a hammerhead I see a big ol piñata with no ability to hit me whatsoever if I corkscrew due to the aim assist being easy to throw off. I fear a gladius/arrow/blade with a sweaty player 100x more than I fear most multicrew ships. Also the meta won't be multi-crew big ships in well trained Orgs, the meta will be every ship has its own place (hopefully atleast)
My og point was that murderhoboing isn't rampant, and it was only so in the Pyro playtest and maybe 2+ years ago, now it's a really rare sight
**and my last comment about the player skill curve is not meant with any sort of disrespect, as I said, the game doesn't teach you what maneuvers are good, or what trichording even is

This was really fun to watch. Thanks :D
If I could make one suggestion, having some cinematic shots from the big battles would be really cool to see.
Every time I do a gate camp with laser towers the xenon smaller ships get completely molested but then they always send in a K or 2 to blast away all my towers. Unfortunately I don't yet posses the ability to kill them so they ruin the laser light show every time, good loot for modifying my ships though.

True dat
I played the first X game 20 years ago, thought I would give x4 a try, but I am totally overwhelmed, so complicated. I bought the Boron DLC because I wanted to try and use your video as a guide. It took me 9 hours to find out that I had to discover the missing gate connection in Watchful Gaze. So stupid, I swear the mission did not state that. Being totally new to X4 I have spent 20 hours playing and have pretty much the same amount of money and the starting ship. All that said, this video made me buy the X4 in the first place so I am going to learn how to play this game. :)
There's no wrong way to play X4, just take your time and have fun!
That brief loud cut in around 41ish just gave me a fucking heart attack.
Its so good!
Im just past 100hrs too and it just keeps getting better.
Yes it does!
I've been sat on the fence about this game for some time now, but watching this video (1 of the most enjoyable I've watched recently, by the way!), I feel myself beginning to slide off the fence, so to speak. Especially as I checked it out on Steam where it's currently 60% off, along with a stack of DLC.
Be very careful when you slide off the fence, you wouldn't want to get hurt in places that might.. well hurt.

Hope you'll do more X4 content at some point (like another 100 hours but with a different start?). So true!
What's your definition of a high-end PC?
That is nirmal in Seta mode only
@@faiz697 what s seta?
😂👍
Lol, you got more done in 10 hours than I managed to in 30+.
Good thing about X4 we can both play at our own pace and have lots of fun doing it without ever missing out on anything.
O so i bought this game, thanks to you and other few videos. O boy what a great game, i sux at making economy, coz i do nothing, just flying around and watching. I managed to liberate Asgard ftom Terans, it was flying around with 80 crew, so i set werry hard board acttion and after like an hour it was mine.
That is very impressive!
You blew my ears out at 42 minutes but otherwise great video
Big sorry!
Man, this video sold X4 for me, and though it has its prolblems (and a lot of them, lol) - I love it, and have already 200 hours in! So, thanks for the video :)
I'm really glad you like the game! It's such a gem that more people should play..
@@KokoplaysMB Indeed! They just need to have more patience to get used to it... Hope the developer will continue to improve the game and release new content!
Well done, seriously underrated title.
Thanks!
Using the laser towers works well and I have used that strategy many times against Xenon small class ships especially in Hatikvahs Choice were they seem to attack in HUGE swarms.
This was my first time using them and I was surprised how well they worked.
This helped me decide whether to buy the game 👍
Needed this, thank you
Glad I could help!
Always wanted to play the game but felt overwhelmed by it every time
Just give it time and take it slow. There's no need to rush and you can learn slowly as you play.
Can't wait for part two!
Most informative video I've seen covering this game. And very, very entertaining. Think I'll try it.
This style of narrative editing should be used to cover other games who have had update upon update plus expansion upon expansion- over several years.
Anyway thanks for this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
