As always enjoyed your review of these OTC hearing aids. They appear to be some of the best OTC hearing aids that are available at this price point. Thanks
you are the winner of the drawing! Congratulations. Please let me know if you want these. If you do not, I will do another drawing. Again, congratulations.
First-time listener--a really nice, thorough review. I use OTICON now but batteries only last about 5 hours per day. I'm retired now and not sure if OTICON is still $5,000, but that's way out of my price range.
Dear Hearing Club, 🙌 I just watched your review of the Elehear OTC hearing aid, and I wanted to express my sincere gratitude. Your thorough analysis and genuine enthusiasm truly stood out. As someone who values clear communication and improved hearing, your insights were invaluable. Thank you for your excellent work in shedding light on this essential topic. Your dedication to helping others make informed decisions is commendable. Keep up the fantastic content-I’ll be eagerly awaiting your next video! Wishing you all the best
these are the closest to my preferences and I watched the complete video . I like the fact of being able to adjust via Bluetooth and be able to connect to phone calls , not much into music part but definitely into outdoors/ restaurant adjustable modes. Thanks for sharing your opinions and recommendations
Thank you so much for this review. I am a newbie in the hearing aid world. I like these hearing aids and now I know what to look for. I’m sure I’ll be watching more of your videos before I commit. Thank you so much! Happy New Year!
Brian, These OTC hearing aid reviews are needed in this changing hearing aid environment. I think you are on the right track with these OTC HA reviews. These Elehear's are now at the top of my list of hearing aids. I love the idea of being able to manually focus the microphone. I found out today that Jabra took away the Restaurant mode that allowed me to focus the microphone. They replaced it with a unfocusable "Hear in Sound" mode. Because of this I'm going to return my Jabra enhanced pro 10's that I was just starting to figure out. I'm just starting to look for a replacement set of hearing aids.
oof. that was a mistake. They didn't remove the restaurant mode, they just renamed it. and You can't make the front cone narrow or wide anymore, its always narrow now, which is all ive ever used. But if you did return it, let me know what you think.
I’ve been told from the Dr’s that I need hearing aids but have been procrastinating. I appreciate your videos and unbiased approach. I need to watch more before I purchase😊
Brian, I very much appreciate your objective and unbiased reviews. As one who is seriously considering a good OTC hearing aid, your reviews are extremely valuable in gaining a better understanding of what to look for. Thanks again.
I appreciate the honest in-depth review of the Elehear, and how the set-up works. It is hard to find this kind of information from the manufacturer or most dealers. Even if a person has professionally fitted hearing aids, these would be a great back-up pair when the main ones fail, or are in for warranty repairs.
Brian, it’s amazing how close OTA aids have come to prescription ones. These Elehear almost made me take out my credit card. Your scoring system is simple but it highlights the important features. Great job.
Hi I’m a pastor living in Jerusalem Israel. Unfortunately no Costco here. Thanks for your reviews. Have a fruitful and blessed new year. Pastor Georgios Grispos
Thanks for your very thorough review. Based on your review, I went ahead and purchased these Elehear Alpha Pro hearing aids. Should have them shipped free to me in a week or so. The $499 price was still offered as of today, Jan 3, 2024.. I'll give them a try and tell you how my personal experience with them goes. Thanks again for your excellent reviews, as you are the only TH-camr I have found to be so detailed and credible after a lot of wasted time with others. Been watching your reviews for a while now, waiting for the right OTC hearing aid to come along. I think this may be the one. My girlfriend is getting impatient with my constant request for her to repeat herself. So, I am hoping these hearing aids will help with that.
I just happened upon your reviews a couple weeks ago. This is the first thorough review I’ve watch. I do appreciate your thoroughness and candid thoughts. Very helpful. Can wait to watch a few more as I try to decide which OTC I get.
Thanks for another informative video! I am still undecided, but feel like I am getting valuable information to prepare me to make an informed decision. I visited a somewhat local hearing clinic last week where I paid $250 for a hearing test and $80 to try on a pair of Oticon aids in the $9000 to $11000 range. I am so glad I did not immediately follow the recommendation of the consultant. I am confidant that I would be experiencing buyer’s remorse.
Oof, that would have been a big mistake my friend. Those oticons were probably the Oticon Real 1, 2 or 3. At costco, the Philips 9030 is the same as the Oticon More 1 and the Philips 9040 is the same as the Oticon Real 1. They are about $8,000 less.
Thanks for the very thorough review. I currently have Oticon hearing aids, which were supplied free by an insurance company. But when these need replaced, I won't be able to afford new prescription ones. Your reviews will truly help me decide which OTC hearing aids to purchase. Looking forward to many more OTC hearing aid reviews.
Thanks for the excellent review. I have had my Elehear hearing aids for 5 months. They work great now, but I went through 3 pairs to finally get a good set of hearing aids. I spent a lot of time trying different domes and playing with the app too. It seems like I spend more time adjusting my hearing aids to different situations than I would like. That's my only gripe so far.
Excellent review! You are really good at this, including knowledge of the subject, speech and voice quality, and great technical quality of your video presentation. Thank you!
We have been watching your channel for a few months now and are subscribed. Husband has age related hearing loss so we believe a good OTC should do the job for him. We were lost on brands and features till we found you. Thank you for your reviews, the guidance is really helpful and the videos are engaging. We are happy with the pace as well because we are both adhd 😊. Very kind of you to give away this pair. Good on you and I’m sure someone will be very blessed. Thanks Again
Thanks for the kind words Sophia! I'll be doing the drawing soon during a live stream. I'll let everyone know when it's coming up and I'm so glad I could help!
Great review Brian. From all of the Hearing aid reviews and TH-cam videos, you came accross to me as the most trustworthy and would easily take your advice. Thanks.
Just stumbled across your YT Channel and this review. Excellent review with good insights! While I have known for awhile my hearing was a bit dodgy (TV needing to be up quite a bit higher than spouse preferred) I was just tested and diagnosed by our ENT audiologist with mild to moderate loss. On the hunt now to look at options for hearing aids. Luckily I am not constrained by budget but I do try and spend money wisely. I can see your channel will help to educate and guide me in my research. Thank you very much for this valuable service.
Great video, Brian! I started researching OTC hearing aids a couple of months ago and I was leaning toward the Lexie B2. But I ultimately decided to save up a little more money and go with with the Rexton BiCore R-Li T from Costco. I pick them up tomorrow (and I would LOVE to see your review on those!).
I tried out the 3 online hearing tests that would give you an audiogram. They can tell you if you have a hearing problem but not like the audiogram I got at Costco. Also I took the tests wearing my hearing aids and there wasn't much difference in the audiograms.
My Christmas present this year was sudden hearing loss. I discovered my electronic hearing protector muffs allows me to carry on conversation with family members. This discovery started my search for OTC hearing aids and to your channel. You sir are a Champion and I trust your content will lead me to a solution. If you are ever in the central valley of California Chinese Buffet my treat. I was very much leaning to go with Atom Pro 2 but now Please put me in the drawing for Elehear Alpha Pro. Thanks for your help
I have a mild to moderate hearing loss and, being retired, I’m on a fixed budget. About a year ago my daughter bought me the Apple AirPod pro 2s. They have been very helpful in the “hearing aid” mode (transparency), but I’m at a point where I really need dedicated hearing aids. Your reviews are very informative, especially the COSTCO ones. I’m not sure if OTC is cost effective in the long run, but they are getting better!
Very helpful information. Receiving my 1st pair of prescription hearing aids in two weeks with mild high-frequency hearing loss. Depending on any noticeable difference I may return for a highly-rated OTC. Been following your channel for the last 6 months and appreciate the information. Thank you, Happy New Year
My pleasure sir. Just remember what I said in the review. These are really nice OTC Hearing aids but they are on completely different levels when it comes to sound quality. Prescription hearing aids will sound better.
Of all your reviews that I have listened to this hearing aid has my attention. I always go the manufactures web side for further research. Thank you for your indepth reviews.
Brian, I just discovered your channel and it's excellent. Focus on exactly the things I need. I'm a live sound engineer. I mix shows for concerts either indoors or out, anywhere from 50-5000 people. I've acquired moderate hearing loss over years. Hearing aids, with their focus only on speech, don't work for my line of work. My biggest complaint is the lack of a more sophisticated Equalizer. I use a digital mixer with 32 channels, each with a 31-band, 1/3 octave, fully parametric EQ. And that mixer costs less than half of a cheap pair of prescription hearings that only give me 3 fixed bands. It's shameful. Can you recommend to me the best HA with the most personalized control of EQ? Prescription or OTC, price isn't my main concern. I want it on an app, I need to shift back and forth quickly between focusing on speech or hearing full bands (between lots of noise reduction and very little.) I'm also concerned with which type domes or fitting types to use are best for this application. My loss is pretty moderate - my audiogram drops off precipitously at 1.5kHz - down about 20 dB by the time it reaches 8Khz. Thanks for the great content!
Hi, id like to add a comment for you. in one of your videos you mentioned that if you get a speck of dirt or ear wax in the aid, theres no way to get it out and your hearing aid may have to be replaced. About three years ago i bought my aids at CostGO. they will clean and adjust them whenever needed. One of my aids stopped working, instead of blowing something clear, they like vacume it out. ,At there hearing center they checked it out and gave it back to me. They have a way of sucking out wax or a speck of dust. Saving your aids!
I don’t recall saying that. I do recall saying that all it takes is a spec of wax or dirt to block the receiver causing no sound or amplification. I also recall saying that if the wax gets too far down the receiver, yes your hearing aid could be toast.
Great review, personally I am new to HA, I have moderate loss at high frequency, certain people I hear well, some I have difficulty. Would love to try a pair of elehear., keep up the great work, your a godsend for people like me. Thanks again
wait til you see the one i'm reviewing now, it has an AI assistant built into the app. Its going to be pretty wild. You can tell the app what issue you are having with the hearing aid and the AI will make an adjustment to try and fix said issue.
I was waiting on a review for these. Thank you!! Wasnt sure being they are sold only through Elehear and why no one has done extensive review of them. I have moderate in left ear and mild/ moderate in right. I have watched reviews on most others and these seem to have the most features at the right price. At least on sale.
Thanks for the new video. I look forward to these videos now that I have been tested and have a hearing loss of mild to severe. I have so many questions, I am writing them all down to ask my audiologist the next time I see her. Hope you have a Happy New Year!
Thanks much, great review as usual. I've gone through 2 prescription aids and 2 OTC aids, still in search of the holy grail, but love all of the latest advancements. I happen to be totally blind so obviously my hearing is of great importance to me. Unfortunately most of the apps leave a lot to be desired in terms of good accessibility to those of us that need to use screen reading software to interact with the apps. Really appreciate your extensive reviews and look forward to them.
thank you for the great feedback and i hope to see more accessibility options in the future as well. I will mention this to the manufacturers in future videos.
The honesty in your reviews is obvious. Thank you. Very interesting new product, especially with the compatibility between the two operating systems and the remote speaker capability. Please do not include me in the giveaway offer as I do not want anymore behind the ear devices.. I have hit the pause button in my shopping until AI comes to the earbud style.
Great review and thank you for extreme details as usual. I'll keep this short, looking for a pair of OTC aids and i have to agree these are looking good. Thank you...
Brian, Great Video. I was strongly considering these, I went to their website and they don't have a color option for the piece behind the ear. They should have an option for skin color for concealment purposes.
Great review on those. I was looking to get some hearing aids but it's always the price and availability that has stopped me from getting a pair. I'm hoping to find a way to get a pair when I find a supplier that sends international.
Very helpful review! I just discovered your channel today and I am so glad I did. So it's not programmable for hearing loss--can you comment any ways that the sound quality is adjusted other than with manual changes to equalizers, etc. Is there an initial setup process? (Just thinking of people are not comfortable making changes themselves.) Thank you.
Great video! I'm going to Costco in 2 weeks. Compared to the products offered by Costco, how would you compare these to them? Is it worth the extra $1000 to get the Jabra, Phillips or Rexton? Thanks
What a great question. I'll answer it in 2 parts. The streaming sound quality is better in the elehear. As far as speech understanding, the sound quality of the hearing aid part of the hearing aids, the philips is far superior. If you are getting serious about your hearing loss and want the best, go get yourself a philips or jabra from costco. 2. If you are still kind of on the fence about hearing aids and aren't ready to spend over $1,000 on something, these elehear alpha pros are pretty solid and would be a great first step towards hearing better.
Are this still the best option otc? The mic or handsfree works with BT classic and Android? I'm from Mexico and I would like to buy one without change to iphone MFI. Thanks for your reply
Hi I enjoy your videos tremendously. Can’t decide to get the ones from Costco or go cheaper for the OTC. I have high frequency loss according to the audio gram I got from Costco. Thanks
My pleasure! If you try prescription hearing aids and then try OTC, you will notice a huge difference. If you have the option between both, choose prescription, 100%
Brian: Thanks for these reviews! I’m making a decision now but waiting for your perspective on the new Jabra 20’s at Costco. Another candidate is the new OTC Senheiser made by Phonak. Will Costco 🎉 carrying them?
As always enjoyed your review of these OTC hearing aids. They appear to be some of the best OTC hearing aids that are available at this price point. Thanks
my pleasure
you are the winner of the drawing!
I totally get it. If they are under warranty you can get the repaired

Lexie has the B1 and the B2. The B1 takes replaceable batteries and the B2 has rechargeable ones. Great review, Thanks!
oh really?? i'll have to try to reach out to them and see if they will send a pair for me to review
Brian, it’s amazing how close OTA aids have come to prescription ones. These Elehear almost made me take out my credit card. Your scoring system is simple but it highlights the important features. Great job.
Thank you spartacus!

Wow, what was wrong with the bad ones
@HearingClub Both pairs of my previous Elehears quit working within a couple days of me receiving them. How reliable are these?
Excellent review! You are really good at this, including knowledge of the subject, speech and voice quality, and great technical quality of your video presentation. Thank you!
Wow thank you so much for the nice comment and feedback! I appreciate your support
My VA hearing aids broke and I wont go back to the VA. This channel has been very helpful trying to determine my best options. Thanks
my pleasure sir!
Brian, I appreciate that your reviews are always comprehensive and unbiased. You make exploring the OTC hearing aid market much more navigable.
That's great to hear! I'm glad I can help 😌
Thank you, Brian. You continue to help thousands of us who are searching for just the right combination of function, feature, and affordability.
That's what I'm here for!
I wish all reviews were this complete and comprehensive. Good job!
I appreciate that!
Brian, I'm just starting to look for a hearing aid and found your page. Bookmarked and joined! Thank you so much for deep diving for me.
My pleasure 🙏
LOVE this channel - SO HELPFUL. Will spread the word. Robbi Duda RN
Yay! Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks for the great description of the elehear product
my pleasure cliff!

Thanks for the kind words Sophia! I'll be doing the drawing soon during a live stream. I'll let everyone know when it's coming up and I'm so glad I could help!
Thank you for the revue. These appear to be the best OTC hearing aids out there.
My pleasure!
I agree at $500 I'm very interested but at 1K no so much. Thanks for the nice unbiased review. They look good!
My pleasure sir 🙏
Great review Brian. From all of the Hearing aid reviews and TH-cam videos, you came accross to me as the most trustworthy and would easily take your advice. Thanks.
That's means a lot to me, thank you for taking the time to write this. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the review. I had never hear of these hearing aids. Seems like a good buy at the discount price.
my pleasure!
Thanks for the informative video. I will be adding these to my list of possible OTC options.
Excellent! Glad it was helpful!
I can see your channel will help to educate and guide me in my research. Thank you very much for this valuable service.

I love your system of rating hearing aids. It especially helps when evaluating OTC brands like the Elehear Alpha Pro.
thats great, it will really help with consistency when rating the hearing aids.
Well... I dont think you would like it. These are my least favorite out of the 3
You're really helping in my decision making about whether to got OTC or prescription....appreciate the work you do...thanks !
thats why im here, let me know if you have any questions.
Great review! Love the research and your great explanations and comparisons.
Well thank you so much!
With mild to moderate hearing loss I would be thrilled to receive a pair of these marvelous Elehear OTC hearing aids.
well keep watching the channel, we will most likely be doing another drawing if the winner doesn't claim their prize.
I tried out the 3 online hearing tests that would give you an audiogram. They can tell you if you have a hearing problem but not like the audiogram I got at Costco. Also I took the tests wearing my hearing aids and there wasn't much difference in the audiograms.
Copy that
Looks like some good features in an OTC.
Thank you for the step by step explanation!
You bet!
Thank you for your channel. People need the kind of information that you provide.
My pleasure 🙏
I thank you for your review, I am still deciding on hearing aids
my pleasure!

Great video. My mom is 88 and maybe these could be a good choice.
Definitely, there's a link in the description if you want to try them.
Prescription hearing aids will sound better.
great video and informative on this over the counter. Researching my first pair to purchase🙏
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it!
Have not purchased a hearing yet. But your videos have been very informative. Thanks......
Glad it was helpful!
Thx for the OTC review. The Elehear OTC are intriguing.
Ya they are pretty nice hearing aids, definitely worth a try IF you are thinking about trying an over the counter product.
Love t❤he review. I might give these a try. THANK YOU
my pleasure!
Of all your reviews that I have listened to this hearing aid has my attention. I always go the manufactures web side for further research. Thank you for your indepth reviews.

these seem like they are well worth the price. great review well thought out. thanks!

Thanks for the great content!
the philips would be your best bet since you can program them yourself. im working on a video now
So glad I found this channel! Keep up the great work man it is appreciated.
Awe man thank you so much for the support. I'll be here holding it down brotha
Thanks for your reviews. I just got Jabra 20s from Costco and getting used to them. Didn’t even consider otc hearing aids.
if you have the money, i would definitely stick to Rx hearing aids.
Well done. Very interesting. Got me thinking again about what I am going to buy...ugh, thought I had made the decision.
Lol decisions...
Hi, id like to add a comment for you. in one of your videos you mentioned that if you get a speck of dirt or ear wax in the aid, theres no way to get it out and your hearing aid may have to be replaced. Great review, personally I am new to HA, I have moderate loss at high frequency, certain people I hear well, some I have difficulty. Would love to try a pair of elehear., keep up the great work, your a godsend for people like me.
Thanks again
I'm so happy to help!
These look like the ones for me. Thanks for a super professional and informative review.
My pleasure 🙏
Another tremendously helpful vid.
Glad to hear it!
OTC hearing aid upper their game! Can’t wait to try one!
wait til you see the one i'm reviewing now, it has an AI assistant built into the app. Its going to be pretty wild. You can tell the app what issue you are having with the hearing aid and the AI will make an adjustment to try and fix said issue.
@@HearingClubhow many days/months do you normally test them out prior to releasing a review video? And, thank you so much!!
Thank you for your lovely review. I have very small ear canals, so I cannot use something like Jabra. I am happy to hear about the Elehear.
My pleasure ma'am!
Wow. Thanks so much for your great reviews.
my pleasure Sailor!
I was waiting on a review for these. Thank you!! Wasnt sure being they are sold only through Elehear and why no one has done extensive review of them. I have moderate in left ear and mild/ moderate in right. I have watched reviews on most others and these seem to have the most features at the right price. At least on sale.
My thoughts exactly
Loved the video
thats great, thank you for the feedback!
Thanks for the new video. I look forward to these videos now that I have been tested and have a hearing loss of mild to severe. I have so many questions, I am writing them all down to ask my audiologist the next time I see her. Hope you have a Happy New Year!
thank you nash!
Very helpful review with understandable information. Thank you.
im glad i could help!
Thank you for the thorough explanations and all of the resources you provide!
My pleasure!
I’ve learned a lot watching this channel!
thats what i like to hear!
Good info as usual...thank you !
my pleasure!
videos are getting better
Thank you!
Great review, i agree it is one of best otc HA available.
i think so
The honesty in your reviews is obvious. Thank you. Very interesting new product, especially with the compatibility between the two operating systems and the remote speaker capability. Please do not include me in the giveaway offer as I do not want anymore behind the ear devices.. I have hit the pause button in my shopping until AI comes to the earbud style.
understood! Thank you so much for the support!
Great review Brian thank you so much
You’re Very welcome
Great review and thank you for extreme details as usual.
I'll keep this short, looking for a pair of OTC aids and i have to agree these are looking good.
Thank you...
my pleasure!
Would love to try these, having moderate high frequency loss, and using earbuds to steam quite often.
Go for it!
Brian, Great Video. I was strongly considering these, I went to their website and they don't have a color option for the piece behind the ear. They should have an option for skin color for concealment purposes.
I can't disagree there. I hope they see these comments so they know to get different color options.

Everything you can do is in the video. There's no hidden features or settings I left out.
Great Video I’m in for the draw ….. keep up the great work
You got it
Thanks for the review. Gotta have help hearing.
You bet! Glad i could help!
Nice review. These look like a good backup option for my Jabra's
Yessir!
I love your down to earth videos and this one is good.
Thank you so much
Awesome review, like the equalizer and able to pair in stream mode
yes it has some nice features!
Are this still the best option otc? The mic or handsfree works with BT classic and Android? I'm from Mexico and I would like to buy one without change to iphone MFI. Thanks for your reply
I really enjoyed finding out about these I need to get something but I’m not quite sure what
Well I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Good luck on your search.
When will the Phillips 40 BIG REVIEW drop? I can not wait!
The philips 9040? The review is already out!
Great review, sounds like something I might look into.
Go for it!
Nice and thorough review!
Thank you so much, I'm glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for another great review! Do these hearing aids support the new LC2 Bluetooth codec ?
The new codec is actually LC3 and supports air cast. I’m not sure if that’s what you mean but no, I don’t believe it does.
I could sure use these.
Good info and well done. Thanks
no problem Sam!
Great review, very helpful, thanks!
No problem!
Brian: Thanks for these reviews! I’m making a decision now but waiting for your perspective on the new Jabra 20’s at Costco. Another candidate is the new OTC Senheiser made by Phonak. Will Costco 🎉 carrying them?
I have no idea, costco doesn't give us any information before hand. We find out what we have, the day they are available
These look awesome. Please include me in the drawing.
You're in!
Thanks so much for the review. Well done! 29:25
you're welcome!
Thank you for the review!
My pleasure!
