    I will be ordering my first hearing aids from Costco this week. I tried the Rexton and walked around the store for several minutes, and found myself crying. I couldn't believe how much I've been missing in my world. I tried both the Jabra and the Rexton, and found that Rexton sounded more natural to me. I'm so excited to be able to enjoy hearing conversations again. I don't know why I waited so long.

      @@HearSoundly Got fitted with them on Wednesday. The fitting process went well. After we walked around the store doing some shopping while I was wearing them. I was amazed at how well I could hear the conversations of people around us and the sound was much more natural than I expected. I could even hear my wife when we separated some distance. This is going to take more time to get used to and I was having some upset stomach symptom the first couple of days that I hope is temporary. I have them paired with my iPhone and am learning the Rexton app and different programs the tech installed. I love the iPhone feature where Siri reads text and calendar notices to me. Streamed content and music sounds strange to me and not real happy with that. These are just first impressions with less than 12 hours of wear time.

      @@HearSoundly It took about 4 days for the queasy stomach symptoms to go away and the feeling of having them in my ears. I tested them out in a busy restaurant with my wife sitting across from me. Started with the automatic program and it was ok but too busy with other noises around us. Next the iFocus 360 program and didn't like it. I found that the Automatic was best with the direction set to the narrowest front direction. I could clearly hear her and the competing noise was greatly reduced. At church on a Sunday I used the "Live Music" program. It gave a great balance of the vocals and music. The automatic tried on the voices too much.
      My own voice still sound "tinny" to me especially when I lower my head.
      Hearing with them at times makes me wonder "are they doing anything" and other times I can tell they are. I guess I'm still in the process of making them normal.
      I've never wore a hearing aid before so I can't compare them to anything else but I'm satisfied with them and happy I got them. I think Costco has done a good job so far.
      I run sound at times at Church and I'm sure the first week with them will be an ADVENTURE. I did hook up a sound pressure meter so I can tell how loud it really is as I don't trust myself with them yet. Definitely use the Live Music program unless I find something better.
      Oh, I still love that Siri talks my texts into my ears. But I get some look as I pause to listen to them. LOL

    Great video, thanks
    I received my Rexton Reach and love them greatly. I don't know if I have to schedule an appointment at Costco for a "glitch" that I encountered today: I started to listen to a Audible book and the sound cuts on one ear for 1-2 seconds and comes back, then after a short time (+/- couple minutes) cuts again for the same ear or the other.
    I read that the previous Rexton had Bluetooth disconnects issues but I did not loose total Bluetooth connection.
    Have you heard of that issue with the Reach?

    I got the Rexton BiCore HA's at Costco in January, and have been pleasantly surprised at how good they are in normal situations and in noisy environments. I actually had an appointment with my hearing specialist at Costco today, to get a few adjustments and different domes that won't irritate my ear canals. I asked the rep about the new Rexton Reach, and what their experience with them has been so far. They said that for the most part, they haven't seen a big difference between the two Rexton aids, other than the fact that the Reach is future-proof in being able to be upgraded to Bluetooth LE/Auracast with a future firmware upgrade. Most of what the new Reach HA's are advertising, is already in the BiCore's.

      @HearSoundly  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think this is fair feedback. If you are still in your trial period it might be worth an upgrade. Otherwise you are still in great technology using the BiCore model.

    I recently had a hearing test performed at Costco. Overall the experience was pretty good. I haven’t decided which hearing aids to get just yet knowing that the Rexton was coming soon and also the Philips 9050 is due soon as well. I have been using an OTC hearing aid and is my very first hearing aids (Sony CRE-C10). I have been a very long time audiophile and musician. I have heard from others that the Rexton/Signia hearing aids offer better sound quality for music listening but have no personal experience with this I was wondering if you could offer any insight in this regard?

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Interesting question! I don't have a definitive answer for you. I know they both have music settings that can be programmed by your hearing professional. How has the CRE-C10 been for you with music?

    • @krellman7
      @krellman7 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@HearSoundly The CRE-C10 has been pretty good, but could be better. I initially tried a pair of Lexie B1’s and feel the CRE-C10 is better. My actual overall experience with the CRE-C10 has been far better than the Lexie B1. I think most people that are either musicians or audiophiles would like to have some additional user adjustability through the app in the form of a graphic equalizer vs just a slide control labeled bass/treble. It is interesting to note that a colleague has hands on experience with the CRE-C10 and now has a pair of Signia Silk X and says the CRE-C10 sounds “tinny” in comparison. Certainly an interesting topic.

    I got my Rexton Reach hearing aids two weeks ago. They are so much better than my 6 1/2 year old Kirkland Signature 7's. I just wish I had an I Phone instead of a Samsung. I have to restart my phone 2-3 times a day to stay on the App.

    I love your channel and thanks for great information.
    The one thing that I disagree as first time experience, is that the Rexton BiCore L-20 are the worst HAs I ever tried.
    They sound just like a loud sound amplifier, quality sound needless to say is terrible, and the AI Assistant changes/reprograms the original program that an AuD would fit with.
    Feedback is terrible, and just awful devices over all.
    If the Reach are as awesome as the Signia Pure C&G 7-IX, then they will be one of the best of the best at a super low price. Very happy with that ❤🎉

    How many devices can they connect to via Bluetooth at the same time? I’m constantly using my ipad and iphone at the same time, and my older Costco KS10s stay connected to both.

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Good question. Rexton uses MFI vs KS10's Bluetooth Classic so you will have less flexiblity for multi-device connection. You could check out www.soundly.com/product/sennheiser-all-day-clear which uses Bluetooth Classic and uses a lot of the same tech as the KS10.

    I have been wearing HAs for years. My current pair are Costco's Kirkland Signature 10s. I am looking for a new pair excel at boosting the clarity of 'soft talkers,' have an app that gives good control over sound quality, and works well with both my iPhone and iPad. I tried the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s from Costco and found that they didn't perform as well with soft talkers as my KS 10s, the app was limited and switching between iPhone and iPad was sometimes problematic. I returned them and now trying to decide between Costco's Philips and Rexton Reach offerings. Do you have a recommendation between those two?

    • @HearSoundly

    I bought the Rexton bicore at Costco 3 weeks before the Reach came out. I feel cheated and my hearing care specialist says Reach are not any better. What should I do? I should say that I have had unclean streaming issues that I never had with my KS9.

    Wonder how they compare to the Philips 9040/Oricon Real, and more specifically how they compare to the upcoming 9050/Oticon Intent? I talked with a person at Costco this week and he said the Rexton is new, and that he had no idea when the Philips hearing aids would be upgraded. Have been holding off until the 9050 comes out, but now may need to look at the Rexton :)

    • @HearSoundly
      @HearSoundly  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I don't have any info on the 9050 release although I think it is expected this year. Regardless, I'd say Rexton could be worth a shot. Are you wearing hearing aids now?

    • @radiofan2454
      @radiofan2454 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@HearSoundly Thank you for the information. I reached out to Philips/Demant and was told the 9050 is not yet being sold in the USA. They suggested that I keep an eye on the Costco Web site to see when they will be available. Maybe Rexton releasing a new model is just the start of the Costco refresh.
      I'm not currently wearing hearing aids. I had a test done at Sam's Club and found out that I would benefit from them, but Sam's only sells Lucid hearing aids. So far I haven't found much information about Lucid hearing aids, but the reviews I have found seem to be a mixed bag.
      In the end it may be best to go to a audiologist and pay the much higher price, but at this point I'm still in the research phase.

    I love the sound of mine, especially in noisy environments. There are a couple of things that really bother me. First is the overall sound and volume of Apple connected devices. The volume is VERY low, no matter where you set the I-device. The app also needs an equalizer function because the sound of both music and voices is very thin. To say the least, I'm not at all happy with the streamed sound. Secondly, having come from the KS-10's, the fact that you can't connect directly to Bluetooth devices is maddening, let alone MULTIPLE devices. Why should I have to buy a "smart" mic just to connect to a very mature Bluetooth set of devices is beyond me. As hearing devices, these things are amazing! As multi-functional audio devices, the KS-10'a were light years ahead. I used to enjoy using my iPhone, seamlessly switching to streaming audio from my iPod, and then watching TH-cam videos on my notebook. Now, I have to use ear buds to do what my KS-10's used to handle with ease. Yes, I will keep the REACH HA's for conversational hearing, but I know that these are not the final solution.

    Rexton fail: VERY DISSAPPOINTED I just got the Rexton Reach yesterday. . Costco no longer carries Phonak.
    *Issue 1: phone call functionality stinks. You have to hold the phone up to your mouth to talk to the other party! How stupid is that? hands free feature only works on iPhones. I have an S22 Ultra.
    *Issue 2: I love music. Streaming music quality is poor. Bass presence is just non existent. Phonak had reasonable sound quality for such a tiny speaker.
    I called Rexton, I called Phonak, I called Costco. There is no viable solution to the phone call problem (other then yet-another-device, the Sivantos Smart Mic). I regret this purchase.

      I was curious about the phone call streaming abilities myself, but you've answered that question!
      I have KS10 and a Pixel Phone. I can carry on phone conversations with the phone in my pocket, or even in another room (which has twice led to people coming up to me and asking me if I was OK, as it looked like I was talking to myself😁). I'm also curious if when you are paired to the phone, and you get a phone call in the car while driving, if the hearing aids will automatically drop out and let you have the conversation through the car's speakerphone setup. Although, I'm Not sure if that's an HA function or a cellphone function.
