Absolute beauty of a trail. The village 🙌, imagine my dumbass popping up and asking why they’re driving on the left!? Love the POV in your videos. You’re out there trekking. Would Love to experience the countryside over there and get absolutely “pissed” after 😂. Here we say tanked or pitted. Thanks for your content Chris, this is the type of stuff that inspired me to get up and get out originally 👍
My content pales into comparison with yours, Derrick. I can't do the one-liners. Wish I could. I need to get back out there. It's been too long since my gale force hike on Pen Y Fan. Any time you want to come over and get tanked, you just let me know. Thanks always for your support, Derrick. I really appreciate it.
Thank you for sharing your walk. Late watching tonight as we have been to Tolethorpe in Stamford to watch a play. This turned out to be a long walk for you. Beautiful scenery. Hope your feet are feeling better now. Take care. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Absolutely Amazing amazing videos sharing dear friend ❤️ Really enjoyed watching Super big big like thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍 See you again take care keep intouch ❤❤❤
Hello Natalia. You have been near here😁 It's the mountain on the other side of Pen y Fan. It's very and hardly anyone goes up because Pen y Fan is bigger. I had my tent right by the trig friday night and not one person came. The other side Pen y Fan was very busy😁 I really hope the weather is nice for you there. Thank you for commenting. Have fun👋❤️
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling No worries, I did a similar one last week and know what it's like. It's hard going, but very therapeutic. Good to be out amongst nature.
Yikes that path looks overgrown! Looks like a great stretch for mountain bikers. Danger of death, forestry work I guess? Sneaky ascents coming in. Gosh that trig is really hidden away, so much for seeing two others from that one! Nice to know it’s so close to a car park. Fly tipping. A trig point with no trig, stop thief! Well done finding it. Yikes watch that head Chris. I do find I tend to trip up more when I’m concentrating on filming or looking for the next shot, less so on my footing. 👍
It does make me wonder what the views were like back in the day. I was disappointed with the lack of Trig, but at least this one was removed by the OS by the look of it as it had the markings and the gold coloured pin there. I certainly went down with a crack, but it isn't the first time and probably won't be the last. I really hate the fly tipping. It does make me angry. Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support. Have a great weekend.
Not good if you are banging your head out there and seeing stars! Yikes😱 Take care of yourself out here , Chris🤕 You really push yourself hard on these! Good job😁
Ey Chris, bloody hell mate, you take it easy and if in doubt go and check your bonce out. Cracking hike that mate, at least it wasn’t raining! 🤣🤣 All the best mate, have a great weekend Dave 😀🥾⛰
It gave me a bit of a fright, Dave. I fall over a lot less with trekking poles, but it still happens, and I just shrug it off. But this time, I was nowhere near anyone, and it really knocked me sideways. Still got an aching bonce and tinnitus, but I'll get there. It rains a bit on the next one, lol. Thank you as always for your support, Dave, and have a great weekend.
Dunno how I missed this video, got a new phone and the notifications seem to be sporadic to say the least Shame about the missing Trig, but the 1st one was lovely Nice one Chris 👍
Oh my, Chris! You really pushed yourself, which is great but I was concerned to see you bang your head. It's such a shame to see the fly tipping. Well done on completing the hike and finding the two Trigs 👏👏
I have a thick head, but it did concern me, not so much the fall, but the remoteness. But I got there despite everything. Thank you as always, ladies, for your support. Have a great weekend.
Almost 15 miles, wow that’s pretty impressive. Keep at it. Might think about getting some new shoes and upsize them a little. We love the Altra lone peaks.
@df04402 I think I'm going to have to increase size. With the double layer socks and swollen feet on the trail I think I'll have to. Thank you for your continued support. I'm looking forward to your next hike.
Plenty of Another days for you Chris. Good to see your challenges on your hiking though including the impressive 14 miles distance. What an unusual place for a trig point, but looked like you had nice weather with some nice views.
Well done Chris. That’s a good old distance to cover. Shame they removed those old Trigs, they add to tourism where people search for them 🤷🏻♂️ Nasty old fall especially if you’re on your own. Hope the heads not too bad 🤕
I was disappointed when the Trig Pillar wasn't there, but I bagged them all. You are right, advertised the right way to a younger generation it could catch on. Still a bit of tinnitus and a lump but getting there. Thank you for your continued support Phil, zi really appreciate it.
It can get so confusing in a forest to stay on direction even more so when the paths are closed so well done mate I’m assuming the forest and brush was a lot lower years ago for the trigs to work ??? Great going Chris 👍hope your head was ok 🙏🏼 ATB Simon 🤠👍
🥳🪨🥳🪧(it still counts even if it's just a marker) so many trials and tribulations on this one, but damn, you fought through. you coulda tapped out at the first blocked way. some very nice tweety birds along the path there. but the fly dumping of all that stuff made me so mad. seriously, this one was all over! missing paths, trigs gone, and then you fall? wth, chris? you ok? i'm so sorry. do you keep a first aid pack with a cold pack in it with you? i like walking in trees. i like vistas too, but i love a good tree walk. ever read about shinrin-yoku (forest bathing)? hope you've recovered, chris! 🛴❤
I've still got tinnitus and an aching head nearly a week later. I've fallen a few times and laughed it off, but this one hurt. It made me realise how remote the path was that I was on. But I'm getting there. Feet still hurt, but they will heal. As it happens, I don't take any first aid kit as I like to travel as light as possible, but I think I may have to address this. I've got a thick head, though. The trees are really beautiful to walk under, but after the first five miles, you yearn for a vista. I've not heard about forest bathing Anne, I'm going to have to Google that one. Thank you so much for your concern and your kind comments. Thank you for your support, too. Have a great weekend, Anne.
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling oof! maybe check with a doc if it's still bothering you? gotta keep that noggin' healthy! i hope you find forest bathing interesting!
@thebeatentrack156 apparently it was removed in the 80s but no reason given. These are from a bygone era. But at least we found it. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Bloody Lucky Chris slipping on the gravel like that, hope you did not damage the log to much with the back of your head?. Why take a trig away??? don't understand that one. Looking forward to the last day. "But really mate I hope the head is OK. Take care. 🤕
I was confused by that, too. I think the log came off worse. The last one was agony on the feet but had to be completed in June, so I did 4 miles the next day. Thank you for the continued support. I really appreciate it.
