Great content. Many people find passion in starting TH-cam channels or other online jobs. At 50 I am training to become a teacher. I met people even older than me becoming teachers at 60 or finishing PhDs at that age. Somebody in my uni passed their master's at 94. TH-cam has become a source of income for the younger or older generation. Nobody wants to really work 9-5 anymore. People are travelling and enjoying their lives at 30. When you think our aim is so twisted we talk about a job but what remaining mean is we need an income? And unfortunately that means earning it. Let’s be honest if we could get an income without having to work we wouldn’t unless we enjoyed it. So the old ethos of society is to give the impression that if you haven’t got a job you are useless , That is not the case. You have just not in the position to get an income. If you look at it that way it means only anyway you can earn an income is the way forward. Not getting good job. ! I know you might say what you’re talking about. It’s the same thing psychologically it isn’t.

Maybe we can do something ? Contact me if you are interested...
Scary thing is I've had some similar situations, Ive had 4 interviews with a certain kitchen company, 4 different H&S roles, different interviewers every time and they were nearly all lasses between the ages of 20 and 25 I'd say! One girl was on linkedin and barely had two years of H&S experience and was turning me down for the role at 15 years of experience. I've recently turned 45 and starting to feel the same as you because too many young adults are being leapfrogged into roles where they are responsible for hiring and them! Thing is, all the roles I was interviewed for have all been readvertised, some more than once so hiring the 23 year old that might be a good laugh and similar interests in the office, doesn't make them capable of a serious H&S role in a high risk environment and clearly many are resigning within weeks or months of starting.
Easy said than done, I'm redundant and H&S by trade and a qualified trainer but that doesn't mean I know how to start a business or market myself. There's no guaranteed income either.
Given your parents' circumstances, I'm surprised you want to get back to the corporate world. Given what awaits for us all, are there not other things you would like to do?
Just go on indeed and apply for anything that takes your fancy!!! Trainee bus driver ???? .... I applied for things i wasn't quite qualified to do and got replies. Don't ask you don't get!!!! I've a HGV license but its not a job its a way of life, i mean no life just work!!! Big money for big hours!!!!
I live down the road from you just off junction 17 M6 I'm looking at becoming a bus driver!!!! You can do hours that suit you. Part time, full time..... The pays ok too. Keep looking out of the box 👍 by the way the job centre did say people come here having applied for one or two jobs!!! That surprised me if you want to work you try hard to find it.....👍 Have a good New year
Dont want to burst your bubble but full time jobs at your age is almost impossible if you are in IT. I just signed up with a bus company that also train you... Youmight need to switch careers...
They are having to repair the financial damage done by the Tories, you can't hide or cover up what Tories have done! Brexit has cost fortunes, damaged the country, and taken a lot of livelihoods, just recently several haulage companies a month have been going bust and they've cited Brexit as a catalyst. I've been made redundant from the steel industry and that's because the Tories sold the industry out to Asian companies that plummeted it into the ground.

@@GazBobOutdoors it's hard I know try and keep yourself busy and maintain a routine.
What jobs are you looking for?
@@Dave-wh3hw i have no idea, been driving for the last 10 years but i don't really want to be doing that anymore.
@@GazBobOutdoors You wouldn't recommend driving jobs then?
@@Dave-wh3hw well i don't know, it depends on what type, multi drop? local delivery or national etc... for me the roads are just to busy now and a lot of it is on an app, and i really hate having to work with an app all the time. maybe ill go back to driving if i can't find anything, but i would rather not drive.

Enjoy Hamburg. One of the most underrated cities I have been to.
@@Vincent-g2y4s well the Beatles loved it! 🙂
I was out of work i went to the job centre to just keep my national insurance up-to-date. The lady there couldn't believe I'd applied for 72+ jobs in about a month!!!! I've been in my new job for the last 4 weeks..... All employers are the same promise the world but then treat you like shite. HR. Human resource remember that your expendable.......
Your jouney sounds same as me also x it programmer contractor , had to divert into truck driving. 53 old.... Stuggled for 2 years, got interviews but no call backs... They will never admit it, but a manager at age 30-35 will not feel comfortable going to the pub sfter work with you. Or managing you, who wants to work with his 'dad'? Ps, have you found work?
Why not create ur own job, I think u just want to sail in a straight line to the finish ,how long do u need the income for retirement age,?
That surprised me if you want to work you try hard to find it.....👍 Have a good New year
Who was it who said 'is it worth the aggravation to find yourself a job when there's nothing worth working for'?
OASIS....''Live Forever''.
Dont want to burst your bubble but full time jobs at your age is almost impossible if you are in IT. I just signed up with a bus company that also train you... Youmight need to switch careers...
What do you know don't be so negative
@Bret121 been there, done that, got the t-shirt..
I have said it to him several times in comments. Train to be a bus driver.
2025 is going to be tough in the job market, our economy is in a poor state thanks to the Liebour government. You cannot tax your way to growth.
Using "air Freshners" and scented candles is poisonous for dogs and cats. Then again, anyone who actually CARED for their animals would know that.
