What an incredible journey, Chris! Your dedication and perseverance through all those challenges are truly inspiring. 🌟 The memorials you visited are a poignant reminder of our history. Thank you for sharing this meaningful experience. Take care and rest those feet! 👣
Oh my, Chris what a fantastic achievement, even more so with your injuries. Thank you for the interesting and poignant tour of the cemetery. Well done on completing the challenge ❤👍Congratulations 🎉
Hi Chris. Fantastic mate well done. A perfect way to pay your respects to those heroic men and women who gave their lives so we could have one. All the best mate.
Thanks Dave, yes, very poignant and appropriate. I knew we had a Cemetery up there but I hadn't realised how many from the wars were buried there. Thank you for your ongoing support Dave and have a great weekend.
There's something special about such places with deep history.. Now that the challenge is completed what's next?! 😁😁 Have you thought of starting a singing career? 🙈😅
@RoamingSouthernNorway I can sing any song, not necessarily in the right key 😂. I have a new book full of hikes plus trigs to finish off. The next hike is Monday. Thank you for your support Martin and have a great weekend.
Chris you're an inspiration for carrying on with all what you suffered. This hike did look so interesting with all that was here, we must never forget. Wow 50 miles though is a lot, well done for finishing 👏~ Anna
Congratulations Chris on completing this 80km hiking challenge! I hope you taking time now to recuperate and that your head feels better as do your feet. Seeing the Commonwealth War Cemetery was very nice and I loved how well taken care of it is with so many beautiful plants. Sorry I am late on watching this video. We were on vacation for a couple of weeks in Colorado. Take care. Anita 😊👍
You are doing so well to keep going. Hope you are feeling ok and looking after yourself. Enjoyed your lovely walk. Take care. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Well done on cracking on with this challenge with all those injuries. Nice planting of 25 trees to remember. Encouraging, motivational speech to finish the challenge. Great inclusion of all these memorials for your final segment. Wouldn’t be a true finish without rain. German graves, now thats an interesting inclusion from that era. Quite a lot of graves. Watch out for sled dogs knocking you off the path! Nice T Shirt to remember that achievement. 👍
@GENerationXplorers certainly a great challenge. It certainly wouldn't be a Bentley hike without the rain. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. Have a great weekend.
Hello Chris, the place seems had thier story to tell the cemetery look so amazing and the place is so cool and refreshing very peaceful. Always take care have a nice day!
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. I try to get into the hills at least once every two weeks. If you have enjoyed this one, then please stay tuned for the next hike. Thank you again for taking the time to watch and comment. Have a great week.
Thank you for showing us a sad time of our History. We must never forget all the horrors and atrocities of the war. You are very brave, take care with your feet.🦶🦶

Who let the Chris out!? You're a trooper mate! An emotional one this one. Lest we forget. Well done for getting through with those blisters. Well done Chris and your rock Amanda who gave you the push you needed 💪 whats the next challenge once yiur blisters on blisters have gone?
Thank you, Matt. I've still got Trigs outstanding, but I'm a bit off the boil with that. I've got a book about hikes in the Peak District. I might just have a crack at that for a bit. Yes, Amandais is certainly a motivating force and my rock. Thank you as always for your support.
I'm off to wreck my feet Saturday, Owen. I have a 22-mile hike with over 4000 feet of elevation. It will be a grueller. But it has to be done. I did a 22-mile one this time last year, too. I hope I can put into place lessons learned. I will have enforced breaks and take my cooking gear out with me. It's going to be a long and hopefully rewarding day.
what a great place, the Cemetery's all look like they are well taken care of. I'm not a big fan of walking along roads, and only do it if i really have to. Some cars have come to close to me to many times.
Great video! I saw many dual nationality cemeteries in France and Belgium. The sections of the German cemeteries were poorly maintained as compared to the allied sides. But the one you depicted look pretty well cared for. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Chris. I admire your challenges, achievement and tributes to D-Day walk. You've done well. I do hope feeling better though and can have a good rest. At least your route appeared to be fairly straight forward, although I can understand dislike of pebble paths.
@CountrysideWalking I hike in hiking shoes so the Pebble paths seem to dig into the soles of my feet. Plus, I fell over several times on the slopes. They just give way. It's probably really good for the mountain bikes, though. My toe nail has stayed on, and the blisters have thankfully healed, so I'm a lot better. Thank you, Shanita. Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you and Michael are having a relaxing weekend.
