My take on this is, know your woman’s lifestyle and only give her the lifestyle that you can afford. Be upfront at the very beginning. Not every Filipina has Calvin’s gf’s lifestyle. It’s like putting all Filipina in 1 box.

I see now why you say to ask them if they been with another expat before, because if they have before then two or maybe all of the things you mention now won't be fully recognized since she will feel like been there done that! I also see why giving money is not one, because that money even if she had no where else to turn, will be forgotten about and not counted in the future.

I've got 20 years in country with the same woman. 1 doesn't want to travel likes being at home. 2 would just as soon sleep on the floor bed don't matter. 3 sex is never a problem so that is that. 4. you know what she needs MONEY she is taken care of her mom , her sisters are useless she works 6 days a week . she doesn't blow a cent , sends it all to her son who is taking care of her mom .. all situations are different if you find a good one your situation will vary. money is not the problem how they use it is.

When married your bank account is joint, community property, that is a major characteristic of being married. Sure, you both discuss how money should be spent but it is a joint decision on a joint account. For a GF, she has her money, you have yours. Nothing joint. Any money she gets from you is a GIFT.
