My “older women” filipina girlfriend is an LDR with me and has gotten flack from some people, but support from others about dating a foreigner. She was the saddest at the end of my first visit because she was worried I would not return again. Now that I have visited her a couple of times and have another ticket to visit her again, she is less worried about possibly not seeing me again. Some Filipinas and Foreigners are better at handling an LDR than others. An LDR requires a lot of patience, trust, and hope that eventually the LDR will result in being together permanently.

This is a hard pill to swallow if your considering going overseas to find a soul mate while still working. My cousin lived in Japan 10 years as a private contractor for the US military. He absolutely loved it. The only reason he moved is because he got an offer to work back in the states at double his pay in Japan. He couldn't turn it down and it paid off as he retired with plenty of saving at age 52. The only mistake in life I made is turning down his offer to travel to Japan and he would pay for my trip. What a dumb ass I was! But I really HATE traveling especially on airplanes, so I turned him down.

Another thing I have a 24-year-old Philippine fiancé and she has no problems with long-distance my go there once a year for a couple months and come back home, she lives with her grandparents and her father and mother lives right next door. that is a store they are all over the Philippines they sell groceries candy close flip-flops rice all the essentials kind of like a convenience store, it costs me a bout $20,000 she was living in a old rickety house I fixed up the house I put a new roof on it made a storefront in front of the house, she has it made in life I also bought her a truck, for she could pick up her supplies at the store without paying fees to a motorcycle driver or a another truck, that cost me $2500 but it was worth it it has made her independent of anybody trying to take advantage of giving her rides or any of that stuff. She even has a chauffeur she gives him a little money he has a truck license for commercial because he drives a big boss. Sometimes she has to wait when he is available. But she now is learning how to drive the truck and hopefully not too far down the road she will get her drivers license, when ever I go there I got transportation within American license you can drive where ever you want. But watch out they do not have the regulations we have. You just be careful learn how they drive and you're okay. I am 67 years old she is 24 and let me tell you my friend I have a smile from cheek to cheek when ever I go there and I am treated like a king from her parents from her grandparents and especially from her :-) and you are right I was very surprise when Angel said that bring them to your country because he did experience that same thing, bring them to your country in America that's a joke you want them to treat you like they treat you there be happy with two or three months out of the year what the pleasures that you only dream about with a young woman. I sure wished the infrastructure was better in P.I. - In my 60’s, with about $3,000/mo in retirement $, plus my rental income I’ll get when I gtho of the states soon, for sure. It’s either P.I., SE Asia or Japan. Japan has much better infrastructure and it’s cheap now (outside Tokyo).
My cousin lived in Japan 10 years as a private contractor for the US military. He absolutely loved it. The only reason he moved is because he got an offer to work back in the states at double his pay in Japan. He couldn't turn it down and it paid off as he retired with plenty of saving at age 52. The only mistake in life I made is turning down his offer to travel to Japan and he would pay for my trip. What a dumb ass I was! But I really HATE traveling especially on airplanes, so I turned him down.

If the filipina is strong minded and she has confidence in her ldr she will not be moved. Ldr mostly goes south because the couple doesn't make enough time for eachother. Ldr can work but it takes lots of work and planning.

But unfortunately I have to stay in America because I have health issues and I do not trust Philippine medicine at all, specifically I got COPD and I am not put that in jeopardy in the Philippines but like I said I go a couple months a year I have been thinking about increasing that, so I disagree with you on some of what you say. Especially about bringing your girlfriend to I live in America no thank you I've already dealt with that twice, never again. One was 30 years old and one was 25 years old, I don't care how you treat her how you love her. that is a store they are all over the Philippines they sell groceries candy close flip-flops rice all the essentials kind of like a convenience store, it costs me a bout $20,000 she was living in a old rickety house I fixed up the house I put a new roof on it made a storefront in front of the house, she has it made in life I also bought her a truck, for she could pick up her supplies at the store without paying fees to a motorcycle driver or a another truck, that cost me $2500 but it was worth it it has made her independent of anybody trying to take advantage of giving her rides or any of that stuff. She even has a chauffeur she gives him a little money he has a truck license for commercial because he drives a big boss. Sometimes she has to wait when he is available. But she now is learning how to drive the truck and hopefully not too far down the road she will get her drivers license, when ever I go there I got transportation within American license you can drive where ever you want. But watch out they do not have the regulations we have. You just be careful learn how they drive and you're okay. I am 67 years old she is 24 and let me tell you my friend I have a smile from cheek to cheek when ever I go there and I am treated like a king from her parents from her grandparents and especially from her :-) and you are right I was very surprise when Angel said that bring them to your country because he did experience that same thing, bring them to your country in America that's a joke you want them to treat you like they treat you there be happy with two or three months out of the year what the pleasures that you only dream about with a young woman.
