Now go back through your installation instructions for the torque spec, remove all of your items, add blue locktight at a minimum to the three plate bolts, torque, install......maybe add to your tool selection, no wrenches should have touched those bolts unless the box end was used, open end is for bolts that there's no worry of rounding the edges.
Mamabolo Ernest yea and depending the garage they will charge you at least 2 hours at a 190usd/per hour of labor on a Ducati. when it can be done properly in 30 min...and is not rocket science.
My NRC License plate is between the peg and bike per Ducati. When its underneath Pegs it hits wheel guard and screws don't go into the recessed holes of pegs. It also bent the steel of the bracket underneath the pegs, Maybe yours is a different version.
nice video..thanks for making a clear video. why didn't you use the socket/wrench to remove the bolts for the plate initially... might have made things a lil easier for u
Thx a lot man! im from Paris and Ducabike it's not well known like Ducati perfermance..i'll going to instal an anti-dribble system with this clush cover and I have to know about the qualitie of Ducabike before spend 1450 euros!😅
Fun Korea that is easy you have to take the fairing off. and then you can remove the under the engine oil cap, and all the oil will came out... once that is empty , remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one, re screw the oil cap, now go to the top oil cap unscrew it and poor the motor oil in it!!! I will make a video of it one my service is due.
Nice video..but you need to get yourself an electric screwdriver or a t handle wrench. It's been a long time since I've seen someone use an open wrench for a job like this.
+richard giaco la verdad no creo, los electrónicos son muy robustos y de mejor cualidad.... pero si como todo si haces corto circuito vas a freír algún fusible.
Great video! Very helpful to save $$ by doing it yourself. I found it very simple. On a different note once I installed it on my 1199, and rode it the clear window had clutch fluid & condensation on it. Have you had this problem? Do you have any suggestions? I've read on the Ducati forum it may clear up once the bike gets super hot. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
William Gerry that is correct at first i only had the standard then when it came out i replace it with the ducabike one you can check the ducabike install on my xdiavel it is exactly the same to the pani and i did the pressure plate also on that one
The reason I thought you had was I came across a picture on google images showing the clear cover, black pressure plate and red spring retainer and it looked like your bike......I think I’ll go same as you initially and then get a black pressure plate later on. Did you have any problems with condensation? I’ve seen a few mention that.
Yes i installed the black pressure plate later!!! The condensation issue was minimal and went away the second time i rode the bike!!! Try to install it on a dry place with dry air , avoid close moist garages, but then the moist will go away and evaporate after a couple of uses
Hi, I would like to instal thé sale thing on my 899 panigale...do you think it's possible? I have ti change my carter i think, then after i'll be Abel to put this clush cover...
no ducabike is well known for their excellent quality i am saving some money for the akrapovic exhausted then i plan on getting some more ducabike parts the quality is impressive...
d5hin1990 it's the same process....for the 1199,1299 and 899 except for the clutch plate, but for the 1199 and 1299 is exactly the same for the clutch cover and clutch plate...
Can someone please help me. I spent quite some time getting the clear clutch cover fitted on my 1199 put it all together and can’t engage the clutch. I watched a few videos where people had a similar issue and they said on that you need to align the clutch plates.... I really don’t know how to do this as I’ve tried to align it visually and to me looks fine... and to my bewilderment the clutch leaver is still stiff. I’m no mechanic and assumed it would be a simple job. Absolutely ruined my sunny day that I was really looking forward to! If anyone can help or point me in the right direction you’d be making a very sad Ducati owners frown, upside down? Many thanks 🙏🏻
You have to engage and rotate the pressure plate, that is your issue, when you put the pressure plate on top of the clutch plate you have to rotate the pressure plate to engage with the clutch plates while keeping them aligned!
@@PaulArys how do you remove it? I got stains in my glass with that same clutch cover from the degreaser that i used. In planning to buy a new clear polycarbonate glass. Is possible to replace just the glass without buying the whole clutch cover?

If you buy it from a dealer it will come stock with pegs and passenger seat as well as the single cowl. Some dealers do not put the pegs and passenger seats and will handle you the seat and pegs when they deliver the bike but when purchase you will have them yes!

It would be very very similar the parts would be different but the same.... The case cover has a different shape but is the same, instead of one single clutch platte is small ones but is the same!
Yup, until I rode an Aprilia. Just rode the 2016 Aprilia Tuono 1100RR....butter clutch, shifting and smooth power delivery. It actually scared me though with the power! Plus the exhaust note sounds like a murder!!!! Muaha ha ha. Panigale is goregeous though. But I still like to go Ape!!!
Adam Omidpanah absolutely right, a lot of people i know have beautiful bikes but they only know how to use them on a straight line and have chicken strips the size of my hand.
Not the best video in my opinion.. Nothing personal.. I'm an engeneer and i can clearly see you aren't used to professional tools or how some things work the right way. It's enough to install it, yes! And it looks AWESOME! But a "how to" video should be made by someone with a bit more experience. (My opinion) But no reason for me to downvote.. it will help many people because it's good to see what comes next after removing etc. And it's free and you had work with making the video and uploading.. I just see this video as a documantary show off =D (Wich is fine!) (I'd just call it "Clear clutch cover - Montage and show off") Enough said.. ^^"
What an absolute waste of money for an "accessory" that will not add or enhance to any function of the bike. Not to mention something you wont even see while riding. This is like changing the color of taillights :)
lol...3.6lbs...Put the $400 he wasted towards something that will save weight if thats the goal....carbon fiber wheels, tank, etc....Give me a break about 3.6lbs.....Never ever will you feel a difference. I will also call BS about the clutch being lighter. He didnt swap anything that makes the clutch function any different.
check the updated video with the clutch pressure plate on the xdiavel and then on the panigale because of the huge difference i salon my xdiavel i change it on the pan too and i am super happy with how it works
It's also a cosmetic upgrade. If he likes the way it looks (and most people do like the appearance of clear covers) then how is it a waste? "Won't see while riding" So? Others will see it and you see it when parked and taking photos.

probably should mention that after installation, it may be necessary to bleed clutch.. mine was mushy after install

That clutch should not be spinning like that at all. I bet bet when it went into gear it pulled?
DaytonaDayz ehen in neutral it spins there is no gear engaged so it spins
What mount is that on your triple tree? For your cell phone?
+DLITINTHEHOUSE it is a ram mount from www.rammount.com

veo esta y la china y las tapas son las mismas

I've written with a guy who had some problems getting off the original one. (Some sort of glue sealing)
